You should cut some reps Travis Scott and real Travis Scott shoes and see if maybe the reps that cost 10% than the real ones are actually better. That could be a huge video.
*_If an advanced civilization landed today on earth and they saw our shoe technology is equal to the caveman leather wrapped shoes, don't you think they would conclude we are a completely unadvanced backwards civilization.. Look, im no tree hugger, but damn come on, you have to see the backwardness of layered leather defining the quality of our shoes??? 😅😅_*
Can you also do the new Nike Air Max TW as well, before the end of the series.... Pleasseeee!
Hello Mr make video about Reebok club C
Oh I'm not wrong, Nike is made by child labor.
Air max 90 (back then it was just called the Air max) were the absolute coolest in the Netherlands in the 90's and 00's, and they were comfy. Would love to see the differences between those and this modern one.
kut schoenen zijn dat
I'd love to see the 90 as well!
The Netherlands was about the only country in the world where the Air Max BW was more popular than the AM90's because it was picked up by the Gabber scene at the time. Now the 90's is seen more, but at the time it was the BW all over the place.
Pls do 90s
The '90's are by far the best looking Air Max.
Ex-Nike employee of 3 years here and it's so satisfying hearing this perspective. I got myself some 270's and learned firsthand just how impractical and uncomfortable they were. Naturally, I tried to share my experience with my customers to keep them from making the same mistake.
I eventually learned over time that no one really cared how uncomfortable they were and consumers will justify putting just about anything on their feet , as long as they're current with the trends.
I tried airmax 270 react. I regretted buying it, but I fell victim to the hype and trend at the time of its release. I felt that I was wearing high heels. At the end of the day, my feet were sore 😅
Maybe this shoe works for people who can withstand the sloping design of a footwear and rock it comfortably, but I’m not one of them.
Agree! This is satisfying
@@wonkydonkey7899i got a pair of reacts and did not have any problems
They’re comfortable to me. Which is a surprise considering how much pain I tend to be in over long periods of standing or walking: that’s more so than most because my feet are really big. Somehow, someway, this shoe has been pretty good. Bear in mind, I got these on sale, long after “the hype” died down only because by that point they were really cheap. I wouldn’t have bought them otherwise.
The one thing that I definitely dislike is how much the air unit sticks out from the shoe. It can make the walking feel awkward. I got use to it though. What’s crazier to me are those that jog or run with the 270s. 😆
I wish I owned a pair of 270 before getting the travis Scott ones. I love the design of it but man it was uncomfortable
I genuinely want to see this channel tackle Adidas's 4D Fusio shoes. Maybe I got lucky with mine, but it's such a comfortable middle ground between the squishy-ness of ultraboost and the firmness of more traditional shoes. It's comfortable without feeling the ground is sinking beneath you with every step.
Nice Profil pic
I’ve unfortunately never been able to wear many adidas shoes. Their sizes just don’t fit my feet. They’re either too small or too big & both give me nasty blisters. It’s weird as hell bc only adidas & olukai are the only brands I’ve ever had that problem with.
My fav shoe all time is the ultra 4dfwd. It’s right between soft and support
But they're way too heavy
Do 4Ds last for everyday wear? I wear ultraboost at the moment and I'd like to swap to 4D but am worried about longevity
The air max plus might not be super familiar in the us but it's insanely popular in europe and australia so you would make many of your viewers very very happy and it would be interesting since it's a slightly different air technology to the rest of nike's shoes
I see like 25% of wear this and crocs in wear I live in the U.S its insanely popular.
Air max plus is a NYC Staple
This is spot on. Not a fan of the Nike Air Max plus myself (or tn's as they are called here in Australia) but they are possibly the most sold and worn shoe in Australia every year. There is actually a big debate here over quality of the Vietnamese made v Indonesian made pairs. Would be interesting to see a comparison of both
Europe and Australia get way better iterations n colorways of the Air Max plus Tn line for sure
Please do this!!!!!!!
I hope you can do the air max 90s next !
It has to be. That’s the classic of classics.
Yes please, your techno and electro audience needs to see the insides 😂
Air max 90 and 87 are basically the same
That is the logical conclusion
My black Air max 90s off-white are my favorite Air maxes
Having had 4 pairs of these, I personally find them to be the most comfortable pair of sneakers. I used to be a big fan of New Balance, till I had to get surgery, yes foot surgery, due to the negative impact they had. The Nike Air Max 270 have been, by far, the best pair of sneakers I've ever had. I agree everyone's feet are different and some might just be accustomed to cushioning and wanting 'squish' but I found them so spacious, lockdown was great, no uncomfortable rubbing and never an issue since they came out of the bubble popping. They're a really subjective leisure shoe.
I feel the same way, I have 3 pair and they are the most comfortable shoe in my collection, I legit was wondering what he was talking about and thought he was just a hater but like he said people's feet are different
I have 2 pair and they both fit differently my all black ones are my most worn and are 1 of the most comfortable pair of sneakers I own and I own quite a few pair of sneakers. The white pair I own are comfortable but after a while the arch support in those ones start to bother me.
Hey Weston! I don’t usually comment on videos but I’m really enjoying this Air Max series :) Also the editing seems to get better every single video, keep it up guys!!
You Nailed it on the Nike Air Max 270!! Great review!
I have had 6 pairs of 270 trainers and I have worn them all to death. for me probably the thing I like the most about them is the sock style, they are true to size and just really easy to slip on for everyday use. I wear a pair when we take the kids to Disney and never have sore feet after 20000 steps in a day. I find the upper much more supportive than my vapormax
I love my 270s! Once you get used to the heel they’re the most comfortable and adaptable to style shoes going. Enjoyed the vid 👍
It'll be very interesting to see the insides of air max 720 (I bet they're even worse than 270). But it actually would be great if you reviewed pretty much all of main air maxes , meaning the am 90 , am 97 , am 180 , am TN plus , am 360 and maybe am 2013 (well yeah , I'm asking too much😅).
I don't think so. I own 2 pairs of 720s and they're definitely not as bad as the 270s. I think the reason for this is that the air unit wraps around the entire midsole and in the middle is foam so it stabilizes the shoe. Also the way the upper is made on the 720 helps prevent your foot from sliding forward. I love the fit of the uppers on my 720s, they really hug your feet. I went true to size with my 720s whereas with my 270s I had to go a half size up because of how much my feet slid forward.
You forgot the air max alpha trainer 5
@@NonLegitNation2I have 720s also and they're much less sloped than the 270s. I tried on the 270s and hated them also for how much forward they put my toes.

Fantastic series, Weston! Much appreciated your work. I would love to see some Puma’s trinomic “teardown”, like TRC Blaze / Blaze of Glory Premium or the basketball shoe with the same tech.
You hit the nail on the head. I thought it was just me that felt like my foot was always feeling like it was jammed to the front of these. I bought them a couple years ago, and yeah, they look good, but I almost never wear them. These were the reason why I gave up on spending that much money for Nike (for myself)
I know they are just as he said i have a pair
Oh damn I wanted some I thought they were comfortable
@@jamman950 and they may be to you, different peep’s different feet. Like, they’re ok, but for me personally, i did feel like my toes were getting crammed in the front after prolonged use. I still have them, i just don’t wear them often, if at all
@@jamman950 they are more styleish than comfy my dude he described the fit perfectly but some peoples feet may feel better in them
Wow, this is crazy - I could anticipate everything you were going to say, because I had the exact same experience with these shoes - just unwearable for me for the exact reasons in this video. Thank you!
Thanks for making a video about the 270!
I bought soooooo many pairs of these. I have 2 in the black, 4 in the white, and 2 in the white/black/orange sail. I go to the gym 5 days a week and am also a runner and these are THE MOST comfortable running shoes I've ever worn, hands down. I tend to get shin splints and sciatic pain, but with the 270c Nikes, I have NONE of those problems. They are SUPER popular in the gym. I see SO many people wearing them, myself included. When I find a gym/running shoe that I REALLY like, I stock up! I'm hooked on these shoes!
Same here. I think most people get the wrong size for this shoe. Thats why it’s uncomfortable. Nike says to go up half a size on thier website. I tried it on in store and I had to go up half a size and they felt really comfortable.
I tried them on in store, and can’t understand how people are wearing them in the gym. That feeling of leaning forward seems like it would throw you off during leg workouts and be a thing you actively need to compensate for.
@@varcity23 that’s they key with Nike . I got the exact same size on some lebrons and those were hurting .bought the exact shoes in a different color way and a size up and there where so comfortable
I just recently had the 270 golf model ,I liked it because it has a rubberized coating over it,to repel dirt etc, liguids, they were all white ,with logo black ,so nice i regret letting them go,the golf tread was perfect for light duty walking on tile etc, walking, beautiful shoe, yes their lifestyle shoe for sure
Just ordered another pair of 270ies. Also subbed because of this this amazing video.
I can’t agree more. I bought these a few years ago and have only worn them a few times because your foot is on such an incline that your toes are driven to the front of the shoe and you’re in constant pain after only a little bit of wearing them.
Would love to see the 2017 Air Max w full length air.. Have always thought that was the best utilization of the Air.. Lebron also used it in his 8 & 9’s…
I hope the next video is about the air max plus my absolute favorite
Thank you very much for this video and showing the truth! That's the reason i watch your channel for some years now.
Love your videos 💯❤
I was gifted this pair for my birthday by my girlfriend. Well it has looks to die for, we all agree. They felt comfortable at first. Until I removed them in the evening and I was feeling a nonstop sharp pain in my lower back near the spine. I didn't associated the pain to the shoe until I wore it a few more times and discovered that exact pain everyday I wore the shoe. I bought asics GT 2000 an older design and I can't stop wearing them extremely comfortable.
I liked the 270, but it wasn’t ever a go-to necessarily. The follow-up model, the crazy 720, has a wild slope too but that’s one of my favorite and most comfortable sneakers I own. Different feet, lifestyles, walking styles will be different. There’s other feedback online from people who really dislike the drop as well, whereas others will swear by this shoe. I think one reason this one blew up more than some other models was that they went absolute ham on the colorways for this, there’s like 50 different ones and they all look pretty amazing. I enjoy the releases following in the 270’s footsteps like the 270 Futura and the recent Pulse, which you would probably like. The 270 itself is average for me, not great nor awful.
The 720 is a weird shoe to walk in
Quite awful. Shitty upper, gimmicy tech and feels like your feet are being pushed into the toe box. They also look really bad IMO. the 720 look good but still same issue with the toe box
This probably won't get the top voted, but I hated this shoe the most with all Air Maxes... I'm a sneakerhead and AM fan, so I have a ton of different AM silhouettes and I can confidentially say the 720 is the worst AM ever.
Love the content . God bless and peace be with you always .
Great 👍 content 💯 keep up the good work
Not as part of this series, but the Nike Tailwind '79 would be a cool one to see cut in half since that is the first shoe to feature Nike Air. Just to SEE how that tech started.
Plus those original, full-length Air units I can feel far better than a usual Air Max as it's barely felt. I weigh between 140 to 150 lbs, and those full length Air units I can feel, whereas the Air Max units were meant for to encourage more running to lose weight so someone around 180 lbs and beyond would feel it much more than your average 150 pound build. If anything, Zoom Air is much better for people weighing 150 and below for a bouncy and snappy response!
I've heard a lot of people have that issue you mention but I haven't experienced my foot being forced forward, I guess it works for how I walk.
I know I'm surprised by this and all the comments to be honest. They are soo comfortable for me. I've been wearing them for years and have them in multiple colors lol. I can work on my feet for hours in them and feel great compared to other shoes.
Love your videos, I think as the final video you should do the air max 180
Your content is so great!!!!
I'd propose doing a review of the Air MaxPlus that Nike released initially in 1998. They're rebranded as the Air Max TN now. To play up the "Tuned Air" name. Supposedly an improved Air Max technology.
I love the way 270s look but i remember actually putting them to the test with 10-12 hrs on my feet. They failed. Still gonna to wear them, but I know its a style choice.
they are the stripper heals of sneakers lol
First time seeing your channel…excellent video!
Thank you for doing a review on these. I used to wear these and my feet were always in so much pain after using a treadmill. I couldn’t understand why. I switched over the the Nike Zoom Pegasus 37 and it was a game changer!
Maybe because they're not running trainers and you switched to actual running trainers lol.
This has been a fantastic series. Just from looking at the shoe, it's one I would eventually have been willing to try.
Could you please do the Nike air max plus next
I was waiting for this review
Would love to see you break down the Air Structure 91. It’s an air max model that was made as a stability running shoe. Stability shoes today are pretty decent to run in for everyone but back in the day they would destroy your feet/ankles/knees if they didn’t line up with ones gait. Also the structure just looks really cool
I fully agree!! I bought it with huge discount, and immediately wanted to send them back. I like how they look, but i considered them unwearable
Have to agree on this one….I love sneakers but this one is solely for the looks…
that’s all weird to me. I bought the shoe knowing nothing about the hype around it and while it took me a week or so to get used to the arch and profile I did not have any of the issues you mentioned and I can convincigly say these are the most comfortable everyday shoes I have ever owned (granted that there might not have been any serious competitors but still they are very comfortable for me). No issues with sliding forward or anything like that in my case
Good video man! Court is in session lol,you brought the energy today, happy 4th
I’m a total Nike Air Max fanboy, and I bought my first pair of 270’s 5 years ago when they released. At the time I got these, I had a knee injury that I was working through, but because the bubble stuck so far out, my natural stride was being blocked by this extra inch of heel air bubble and it ended up hurting my knee more. I stopped wearing them. Now, I didn’t want to make my ultimate judgement of the shoes a negative one because I was injured at the time, and I’ve bought another pair, but you’re right in expressing concern in this design. It’s high, foot slides, but that huge air bubble also does affect a natural stride, too, which could lead to legitimate problems in the future.
I've got a pair of 720 - I think it was the successor to the 270. Very similar heel design, but the air unit wraps around into the forefoot.
And one of them popped. Put them on one day and immediately felt the difference, were completely unwearable. No stability at all, so might be worth cutting a pair of these up and testing. Has to be more air volume!
I have two airmax 270 and have used it until it broke, and I can say that for my wide feet and heavy built, this shoe is really really comfortable for me. Even with hours walking with it, I never felt any pain on my toes or whatsoever.
I guess, it really depends on how your feet structure is, how heavy you are and how your walking posture is where it really matters.
Same! I wear a wide and these fit my foot great. I am wearing a pair atm.
@@sammallory preach.i guess for wide footers these are great.
I have wide feet and I hate how these shoes fit. Maybe there is a wide toebox option that I am missing - but these are just narrow and uncomfortable compared to any Adidas.
@@alladin1314have to go up half a size thats why. It’s what the website says
you are absolutely correct regarding why these shoes are bad. I bought a pair when they first came out years ago and I had the exact problem you describe. My foot was constantly sliding forward in the shoes. I ended up selling my pair after a few months of them just sitting around and me not wearing them.
I really love your videos especially those about cutting military boots in half and I was wondering if you could try to do the danish m58 boot
These are the most uncomfortable shoes I ever bought! I absolutely agree with the reasons mentioned here :).
Nailed it. I agree 100% with everything you said in this video! Looks great and has a big, squishy bubble, but the forward-slope just ruins the experience for me.
I’d really be interested in seeing you cover more of Hoka’s shoes to compare against Nike, etc. The way the air unit in this shoe is placed really reminds me of the “Hubble Butt” that Hoka favors. A friend convinced me to try Hoka’s Gaviota 4, which is currently the most comfortable shoe I’ve owned, although it took a bit of getting used to the junk in the trunk while going down stairs.
Nice review!
It’s super comfortable. I have the coveted all white version. After a month of breaking the shoe in, it feels even better.
Had mine since they first dropped and absolutely love them! No idea what this guy us goin on about they really are very comfortable shoes.
Air Max 97's or one of the Goretex styles for the last test
He already did the 97s!
@@GEES44DC my bad, I thought it was 95's
@@Rockatanskiii he did those too
Man, I was waiting months for you to review this shoe and I finally placed an order yesterday.
Today the review comes out. Oh well.
I'd love to see the Air Max Sequent 3 cut in half, because it genuinely feels really good, because it's built for running and thus almost feels like a barefoot shoe in the toebox. Also I'm a big fan since I've found your channel with the Converse cut in half videos and you're the reason why I ordered 70s chucks and you also brought me to the barefoot shoes. And in general I really enjoy your videos, it's interesting to know the structure of shoes and how the shoe companies make false claims.
Bought these when they first came out. I returned them after 2 weeks. Good thing Nike has a 30 day no ask return policy.
The shoe did exacly every you explained. The drop was so bad that my toes were pushed to the front and I always 1/2 size up. Also, there was 0 comfort compared my other shoes.
That’s like saying air forces are to lose
Do the Air Max 90 next!
100% on point. Thank you.
Bust open a Jordan 14 for July! They are the most comfortable Jordans from the retros that Mike played in (Retro 1-14). It seemed like the 10-14 silhouettes got more comfortable every year and I always wondered how they improved the tech during that time.
I'm quiet curious on how the Air Max 2090s look!
Do the Nike Air max 720 please
Please
Love to see a cut up of the Air Max 2017 as I have a pair and feel like how you mentioned the 270s. Comfortable in the beginning but end of the day my soles hurt like lack of arch support.
i tried them on last year and learned in 5 seconds what you just learned. it didnt feel squishy or soft at all. wierdly ive been saving my uncomfortable shoes by switching the insole with a carbon fiber hard insole and its amazing. my foot doesn't get tired anymore at the end of the day!
Bought these when they first came out garbage shoes like a 30mm heal to toe drop just a air max zero with a air bag glued on. 1.0 Vapormax was 100x better. Ultraboost are still the best shoes ever imo. Do the Flyknit max.
You are spot on. Please review Air Max 270G the golf version of this shoes
My favorite athleisure style shoes that I've tried so far are the Vans Ultrarange Rapidwelds. The mesh isn't the strongest, but holy crap they are so comfortable and light. They also breathe very well, which is why it has the lower durability tradeoff. That and they look great too.
I really liked the 720's.
Kidna surprised they stopped making those but these are still coming out.
OMG! I thought it was just me. I've always hated how this shoe felt and I never understood why everyone said it's very comfortable. I've never liked any of the 270 series shoes for the same reasons. Thanks for confirming it! 🍻
Great video, you should do the Nike Alphafly to keep the airpod theme going and bringing some running shoes into the mix!
I really appreciate your work man, thanks for showing the true. Could you analize the air max 1 Kasina? All reviews I have seen talk about the great quality of materials, but I would love to hear your opinion. Thanks!
Got the golf version of these and I like them. Wonder if they’re different inside.
Could you take a look at the Nike TN (Air Max Plus)? I know that shoe has marketed the shank plate and stability channels for a while, but the upper has helped my mom with neuropathy post-chemo. Keep up the incredible content!
I have a room full of shoes and these are up there on comfortable shoes for me. I like them. The cut profile is funny, logically they should not be comfortable but they are on my foot. Keep on cutting, great videos.
Would love to see a tear down of the new Air Max Pulse since it seems to sit in an interesting middle ground.
It’s be great to know: has the line improved in the most recent iteration, and is it more similar to the new Air Maxes or the Air Maxes?
Hello "Rose Anvil"! Thank you for showing us such a wonderful video! I feel so happy! I'm looking forward to your next work! Have a nice day!
I had them in black and gray, soft and comfortable, but the heel would have me rolling my ankle while taking normal steps. Another fine review my friend. Any chance I can get you to do the Air Foamposit one?
Can you do the air 2090s please theyre most favourite shoe of all time love the vid btw😄
Totally agree! Interested to see what the Air Max 90 is like as I wear this all the time and are my favourite and imo most comfy Air Max!!!!
I hope you do a pair air max plus trainers some time it would be cool to see how those air bubbles differ from normal air max, great video as always!
I think any air max models that featured "tuned air" would be cool to see - I think the Air Max Plus has recently retro'd and they had it.
Yeah the heel drop looks nuts. That and tiny toeboxes was why I switched from Nike to New Balance and eventually Altra.
Nice review, I have the same problem with air max 200 (maybe you can do a video with them).
At first I felt the same way about my feet slipping forward in these shoes but I wore them again today at the gym and they were surprisingly comfortable throughout my 2 hour workout. I have a pair of 720s (the air unit is along the entire length) and they were much worse.
Good content. ❤ . Could you please do a video of the top 10 good sneakers / running shoes in the market.
Which air max would you recommend for everyday walking? Thank you,
Amazing stuff! Saved my money & wife's feet! She like other people got caught into the looks & was forcing me to place an order before size & stock runs out. Thank fully this video saved me & her. Keep doing this great work.
Thank you once again Weston. Function before form every time for me. Style is nice but how does it serve you really? Refreshing to watch some with consistently similar values using their platform to educate us all properly. It's your feet though. If you just love the way it looks, do you. Best
Please do an outdoor chelsea boot comparison of the Blundstone 550s, Redback boots, the Jim Green Stockmans, and the Thursday Legends!
I couldn’t agree more with your review. It is spot on. My brother has a few pairs of these and swears by them. I tried them on and had the same reaction. Heel sits up really high and the decline toward the toe box/forefoot is ridiculous with no arch support whatsoever. I couldn’t imagine wearing these for any length of time let alone spending the money that they charge for them. Definitely one of the most uncomfortable and awkward pair of shoes I’ve ever put on.
I bought a pair in 2019. I've worn that same pair of 270s to Vegas more than 10 times, walking 30+ miles every time im there. Not to mention, I play basketball in them at home and go on walks. Never ever worried about popping them and I still wear them to this day.
Could you do any of the Air Max Slides? i really want to know if its just a gimmick or the real deal as they sell out super fast. I have the Air max 1, Air Max 90's and the Air Max Camden slides. They all have a visible air unit. Super cool looking, but are they functional.
the upper / lace area is like a vice grip on my foot. I love this shoe, but I just can't wear it.
Please do the air max 90 next!
@RoseAnvil How about looking at the air max 90s these are all over the place. Would love to hear your opinions on these
wore a version of these for a couple days of work in the hospital and my feet, ankles, knees and back were killing me. i thought i was going crazy. replaced them with some asics Gel Kayanos. thanks for breaking it down.
Ayyyy Thrice shirt during the ad. Nice!
I've always wondered about these since I do see them a lot. Haven't gotten to trying a pair myself but I'm glad I didn't now having watched this video LOL.
I'd love to see the Jordan 4 and 7 cut apart in Jordan July! The Jordan 4 is probably the most popular Jordan retro model right now (in terms of every, if not most, colorways selling out) despite being extremely uncomfortable to me and many others online and the 7 having interesting history and tech to the model.
The most worst part is that they still cost over 150 box and when i was wearing them half a year i noticed my foot bone coming out in front of the shoe's thin overlay. Love the design of the shoe but nike should give it an update.
Finally!!!!! THE TRUTH!! I have very arched feet and these sneakers & 720 are ridiculously UNCOMFORTABLE…as you said about the foot sliding to the front & no support on the back heel is exactly what I feel..
I literally walked 5 miles in these sneakers today & I can’t wait to rip these off my feet & return to Nike ASAP.
You are the only reviewer that talks about the real comfort of these sneakers. Maybe there better on flat feet but definitely NOT ON MINE 😂
I just bought a pair of Nike ACG Air Max Zoom Gaiadome goretex boots as an investment. How do you think they will stack up?
