    Basically all sneakers are resoleable. While I appreciate big companies pushing repairability as a feature, there is nothing stopping people from having their cobbler put a fresh sole on their converse,vans,yeezys, keds, dunks, rick owens,etc. What would actually be cool is if they started providing original soles for use in repair. A lot of sneakerheads especially want to keep their shoes looking as original as possible, and providing the original materials could go a long way to encouraging resoling.

    • @jakej722
      @jakej722 2 года назад +18

      What's stopping people is that it wouldn't be worth the cost to put a fresh sole on a $50 pair of sneakers.

    • @TillmansFX
      @TillmansFX 2 года назад +8

      @@jakej722 Yeah absolutely! But there are plenty of sneakers that people pay way more for, whether its retail or resale, and I think it would be a more effective sustainability initiative to offer original materials for resoling than it is to make a one-off that isn't any more resolable than your average sneaker. Just my $0.02 though.

    • @garethbaus5471

But they would probably need to be leather ( Resoling is great but will material uppers last long enough to make resoling realistic.? . I think leather would. ) and probably a protective toe cap. Do the Nike ACG Lowcate next! I have a pair and love it so far. It seems like an alternative to the general purpose shoe and I like it for cold weather and commuting in the city. There's a "trailframe" in it, and I wonder how it you will like it compared to the GPS.
