For a couple years those 270s were everywhere but their appearances are dwindling down imo I never owned the 270 or the pandas and I saw a lot of those at Disney too
270s are definitely a gym shoe for me. Comfortable around the foot and a pretty stable shoe no denying the air comfort on the heel strikes not bad a addition to the shoe collection.

Somehow when I got my 270’s on first release back in 2018, I felt like the foam was softer than the air unit 😕 anyhow, my all-time favorite air maxes have to be the lunarlon versions of the 1 and 90. Comfy but still looked close enough to the OGs. They need to bring those back!
I actually just sold my pair from the original launch release that was blue with the orange air pod heel and got $60 over retail for them. I still have my pair of Air Max 720's in the original black colorway that i paid $180, they are still pretty comfortable but it takes some getting used to walking in them after not wearing them for a while, I kept forgetting I have this huge bubble sticking out on my heel and kept dragging my heel, plus i hate that when i walk on smooth concrete or linoleum I sound like a horse wearing high heels.
I think it's the silhouette which is the reason why it is so successful. Also if you see a kid wearing all red 270s you know they are going to be a menace lol
Revisited mine today, I have the USA colors with the blue Air unit, not the red. They never blew me away but I do enjoy them more over time. Quite breathable. My gripe is how in the world does one wash this white upper? I’m concerned about the material underneath bleeding. It seems like all the best 270 colorways have this same white upper though…..once it’s stained that’s it, it would seem

My 720’s are insane comfort, near the top of my Air Max collection, though I know the feel of them widely differs between people for some reason. Me, I wouldn’t mind seeing them every year. The one thing that concerns me is the Air unit seam near the toebox, there’s not as much flexibility with the 720 as with the 270.
As cool as these look, I've found the massive air unit on the 270s to be too much of an annoyance when I'm actually walking around in them. It sticks out too much in the back so I always get the feeling like my feet are dragging against the ground. Upon heel-strike, it also feels more like the air unit is collapsing rather than squishing or compressing like other midsoles (even other Air Max models).
Totally 100 agree....not comfortable at all. I tried different inserts to try to " level out" the heel to toe transition which is horrible. Nothing worked. Great looking shoes. I got several colorways and gobs of compliments every time. People love em. I just wear em if i know I won't be walking or on my feet much...lmao.....just not comfy.....but my airmax 90 collection i can wear for days and walk or run hundreds of miles....and hundreds of compliments as well.

Friend of mine has these, they squeak/creak every time he takes a step and it isn’t quiet 😅 Would drive me crazy. No idea if that’s a widespread issue or not.
My airmax 270 bought it on first release. Amazed with the new design by then. After 5years, Outsole on air bubble do not stick , so i have to removed it all. Plastic on heel also has a gap. Heel plastic base on air bubble also has gap. Crap shoe. Wont buy it again. Shoe glue save it😅 to survive. Im still using it.
Alot of those nikes are not real leather.. its plastic! I bought airmax with the happy face and the sole rotted off as i was walking, the front of the sole peel and ripped the fake leather, i was shocked it was cheap plastic! I paid $90 at sports authority.. nike is garbage!

The upper fits very well on the foot the mesh upper can get crushed and still go back to form when you put them on and it is a comfy shoe

I have the wht/blk/pink/volt pair. Iconic might be a stretch but it’s a great silhouette with staying power.

I love my 270s... I think I got a pair in 2018/2019 and it is still looking great!

If you're lucky you can sometimes even find these at Ross or Burlington for 50% off retail. Usually only in larger sizes though.
They need to bring back the 720s. 270s are winning by default of the 720s not dropping yearly.

I like the 270 more more then back when it came out. I’m waiting for the rerelease of 1998 and 1999 those are my favorites
They just look super sleek, skinny and sophisticated for a gym shoe. The tech is now outdated so it’s not next-level in any way, just a fancy Air Max.

Only thing abt this is, they dont age well. Plastic heel turns yellow and theres no way to prevent or restore it.

The toe mid sole is horrendous though. Heel is so squishy and then the transition to toe is firm and total shit.

These were so uncomfortable, boost is so much more comfortable. They were way to tight on foot too.
