    I seen a video of a dancer and the title of the video was "This guy is pure water" I think his dancing was conveying a message to me as an animator, try to remove all emphasis of the bone joints as hinges. Instead, make the joints vanish into part of a wave of motion. As always, there's exceptions.

    Currently I've been experimenting my workflow and recently I just used IK arms for a Parkour Scene and I kinda like how it turns out. Personally I like Animating with IK hands rather than FK. I'll try that Tracing and Baking Trick that you've mentioned. Thanks JD!

    • @jeandenishaas
      @jeandenishaas  3 года назад +1

      Yeah I like it better too but it is still tricky to make the arms not look like IK.

      @@jeandenishaas Definitely relate to that. at first it's easy to block and follow the reference, but when I moved on the spline pass. that's where the reality comes. hopefully you share more tips on animating IK arms, especially for a newbie like me, soon.

    Parenting and baking out a sphere as a guide on an FK wrist for the IK wrist = brilliant! FK/IK switching can be such a pain.

    "He's happier about that" This is why I love your content. XD
    A really good video, you covered everything I love and hate about IK along with the different types of IK movement that are available on different rigs. It's challenging but so rewarding as well. The TRON example really helped a lot! A video demonstrating and tackling the challenges when we switch from FK->IK->FK in a single camera shot (or if it's even wise to do that) would be awesome (only if you don't mind making it x_x).
    Thank you so much for this wonderful video, JD! :D

    sometimes i come with inconsistencies with ik arms, precisely, ik legs
    the way i animate the leg using ik, the feet does not stay in place and i have to fiddle with the easing values a lot untill i match the exact value for them to hover only a little
