The one is to me a swell-center moose pattern. People knew about Queen long before these knives. They were cutlers from Schatt&Morgan helping themselves to parts and making and selling knives under their own name. Schatt &Morgan went belly up. Winchester and Remington never geared back up to knifemaking after their other war efforts I believe

Model 2967 is listed by Blue Grass Cutlery as the Texas Jack w/bone in there 1989 dealer information catalogue.

Just discovered the black box knives myself, and bought 2 in the last week. An absolutely unbelievable value for the money.

Those "black box" Winchesters are very nice! Thanks for sharing! Btw, the pattern of the
equal ended" knife is a swell center "Moose," great pattern! 👍

$300 for a pocket knife?? That's a lot of jack. Get it!! Seriously, that's a ton of money.

Thank you very much for this video man! Great content, and more importantly the only content I could find on the Black box vintage slipjoints. Liked and subscribed man!

Nice knives. If they are made by Queen Cutlery then Bill Howard probably had a hand in making them. Since he was master cutler and chief designer at Queen til he started GEC in 2006. Thank you for sharing. 👍

It's sow belly as in a sow hog that's the whole point of that pattern name

Blue grass cutlery and great eastern are the best 2 cutlery companies. Blue grass has been making winchester knives since the 1980s, they also made the case classic's in the early to mid 90s. Regular case knives are junk, Tony Bose knife is not worth more than $50 or $60 dollars, and that is a stretch. I have worked on and collected all kinds of knives over the years, and the brown bone and real stag scales (black red boxes) are very high quality I've owned several of them. The Brown bone scales came out of a knife factory that closed up many years ago. I can't recall the name of the knife maker, but if read up on it you will know. I've dealt with a guy on eBay for years and still do, his eBay name is SILVER LADDIE he would know. He knows all...
