They brown bone used for those was found in the old Utica Cutlery factory. Awesome collection. My two favorite Winchesters I have are the dark brown bone sowbelly stockman and coffin jack. You have quite the variety. Fantastic video!!

The first two Sunfish main blades I would have called a Sage leaf and Laurel leaf respectively. Designs as old as the hills.

@@BakeryWizard13 The designs are probably most associated with the Solutrians of around 20,000 years ago. They had quite advanced stone tool making skills for the time. But the designs, like many others, have travelled all the way up to today, or been invented again. I keep seeing a Seax blade design in the tools of the Oldowan collection found near Lake Turkana. Dated to 3.3 million years ago, and used by a different species, although you will see the same blade design in the same area in tribal knives today. And of course, the Saxons took their name from this type of knife. But I'm likely suffering from confirmation bias as I don't know how the Australopithicus, it's thought, used them.

I wouldn't say the sunfish was a tanto its more like a Roman gladius blade shape! Thanks for showing your Winchester collection 👍🇬🇧
