For everyone else that has the older GV1000 model and CANT find the helpful video on how to JUST reset your combo from the factory. Here ya go: While the safe door is closed, push the manufactured programed 1, 2, 3, 4. Once the safe door open, push all 4 buttons down at once and then release. You will see the red light come on. Then enter your own new personal code (enter the code a send time to confirm it). If the red light blinks, an error has occurred or your timing was off. So just start over with your factory setting code 1, 2, 3, 4. Once your new code is confirmed, the safe will open.
Incase anyone is still having trouble making their older model gunvault safe to open with the new code. You need to make sure you're using Duracell or Energizer Alkaline battery (no lithium or rechargeable battery). 9v batteries for smoke alarms will not work. And also you might need to try programming in your code while your gunvault is on a solid surface where it wont move or shake/vibrate when putting in your code.
