- Sorry for a bad video quality. Video editing is quite a new thing for me, so I just grabbed the first free software that I stumbled upon, which happened to be Lightworks. It's quite good overall, but the free plan limits you with 720p export option.
This video shows the process of procedural stylized stones generation we use to produce a lot of assets quickly for our Alchemica game

For anyone having problems with this please don't forget that he scaled the cube at the beginning in edit mode to 5
THANK YOU!
for everyone that get wired around 2:20. Try scaling your shape up by scaling vertices position in edit mode
guys, we need to apply the scale first, i was habing so many issues... good video bro! keep it up
This is one of the coolest and most informative tutorials on procedural creation in blender I have seen! Thank you for making this!
Hi, this is one of the best tutorials I've ever stumbled across!! Thank you so much for explaining different ways to adjust and personalize it, this really is a compact all-in-one hidden gem tutorial!
man, i wish i found more insane shit like this, this is truly god tier, i really love this style of graphics and modelling, stylized shit is so freaking beautiful
Amazing! I've been playing with deform + voronoi for a couple of days now, trying to achieve similar effect, with little success. Stumbled upon this video by accident, couldn't be happier. Thank you!
attention: you need to apply the 5x scale from the beginning or everything will be off
Thanks dude, this should be pinned!
This is the OG tutorial everyone copies from. Thank you so much for sharing this wonderful technique. You are an amazing soul ♥
Wonderful tutorial! This video alone saved me dozens of hours! You've earned my sub mate.
Your games looks great so far, by the way!
this is officially my favorite blender tutorial. Thank you for this.
Arguably the best procedural rock tutorial I've seen to date. Can probably take it a step further by baking the normals on to even lower poly versions of the rocks.
Will it feel Off if I did that ?
@@YoumojoJoJo I tried it for myself a while back and managed to get some... 'decent' results, lol. Still, I'm fairly confident that someone with more skill and knowledge than me could pull it off better. Either that or I'll just try again.
Man that was amazing!!! Really glad you uploaded this. It helped me out a lot!!
wow this is an impressive and powerful technique! thank you for making this video, it just might help me make some stuffs in the future. Also nice game project too, I always enjoy flying / gliding around game worlds. . . just so peaceful :)
Excellent tutorial! I love the use of stacking modifiers, very creative!
You’re the best! Thank you. I’ve used your technique as a starting point to make my own rock formations
This is amazing ! Thanks a lot for the tutorial ! Please do some more, you rock ;)
This is just THE best blender tutorial on procedural stylized rocks... it's just freaking incredible Thanks you SO much !!

How can someone even come up with this?!
There's no way this dude looked at the thumbnail image and didn't think "heheheh poop"
Best blender tutorial EVER.
This is one of the best tutorials, thank you!
Thanks a lot, this really gives my development a boost!
Thanks for sharing. I learned some things from this video and I've been into blender for a long time.
I found myself rocking with the music, 'cause of this tutorial!
OK, THIS IS A FLEX. I'm sure figuring this out must've taken a lot of time and effor but this is the easiest to learn and use procedural rock creation video I've ever seen
The animations of your game it's perfect!!
Perfect tutorial really, but how you would put texture??
best rock tutorial on youtube, no cap!
You rock! (No pun intended) XD This was the most useful, clear and smart tutorial on the subject. Cheers!

I think one of the best tutorial.
This is awesome! Thank you so much for this tutorial
quite easy to follow and quite handy as well i love it
Copying the instructions from this video makes me feel like I'm brewing some sort of advanced chemical formula and makes me wonder how the hell did you figure this out in the first place xD
Man this is pure gold!
Amazing tutorial! this will be very handy for making cobblestone walls and bridges!
couldn't follow the tutorial, cuz i was dancing to the music lol
I had to play with the sizes and strengths a little. Applying the scale was a defintely help. but it is possible!
I achieved almost exactly what I needed and if it wasnt for this my project would suck. Thanks a lot!
This is awesome! Thank you so much for sharing!
Thank you good sir, you have done a great justice to the Blender community.
Awesomely done, kind sir!
THIS THIS is a MASTERPIECE Lesson. Really, in life if you manage to go in Florence (italy) i own you a pizza with beer. Thanks so much for sharing dude!
Great Tutorial @Alchemica!! Thank you
That's incredible and fucking strong, you can make your height map on Substance to shape as you want with your technique, just have to make the basic primitive shape, follow your tutorial with custom heightmap, convert as mesh, switch to sculpt mode to add detail and have incredible result without 5hours of busy sculpt. Thanks you a lot !
Just INSANE! Thanks a lot and keep it up!
Extremely helpful and very inspiring. Thank you very much :)
Outstanding tutorial. Thank you!
Thank you for this, it was massively helpful
This is crazy !
Thank you so much
damn this is so awesome, really helped out with a project im workin on now
Thank you SOOOO much for this.
Unfortunately on Blender 2.82 these settings don't have the same result...
But I was able to have it look pretty good.
Thank you for the tutorial.
great tutorial dude :-) made my day.
This video is amazing. Thanks for sharing!
This is awesome, thanks for sharing!
Thank you SO much for this tutorial :)
This is exactly what I am looking for. Would you also please give a tutorial on toon shading of this stylised rock. Thanks a lot!
Banging tutorial, thanks for sharing
thank you man, this is very good job
блин круто))))) Good jobe . Требую больше туториалов в формате cartoon style )) Луйк подписка
As another person stated, it doesn't worth in later Blender versions. This tutorial is still helpful though. I'd love to see an updated version. :) Actually scratch that: if you make your cube giant, then apply the transform, then you get better results.
At the beginning you don't explain this: the cube is scaled by 5 in edit mode.
I went litteraly crazy, then you saved me xd
This comment should be pinned to the video :D
Wow!! Great!! Top tutorial. Thankyou.
Thank you really much for sharing this
This is amazing, thank you so much.
Funny to see how different the versions work. It starts with the first displace which works completely different with size of 4 on musgrave
going to use this in our game! thank you
Very cool! Thanks for sharing!
So it seems like this effect is very dependent on scale of the object. What if I want to rescale the rock up or down? I can't seem to figure that out. If I apply all transforms, the effect disappears.
Awesome tutorial!
you should do more tutorials cause this is awsome
thank you kind fellow for this fantastic information
Thank you for the tutorial! I made a truly rock-solid shit with this.
Amazing, thx , helped me again.4:25 is the viewport shading part
This is really dope ty!
how does the baking process work onto a low poly version in Substance Painter?
Great stuff. If you are looking for a different recording software I recommend OBS (open broadcast software) its meant for streaming but is also fantastic for recording and its free.
Also any ideas on how to keep the cavities look whilst using cycles/ eevee
Loved it!
Thank you, amazing job.
amazing video mate
Is there any way to make this via nodes? If so please let me know. Thank you
just wanted to input my 5 cents regarding screen recording, I always for everything use OBS Studio. Its free and for people who also want to stream content. but it's got a recording functionality and it's very nice to use with great quality (that can be defined in settings ofc), you could even layer other things on top of the video like images, videos etc... If you wanna stream simple windows like word, blender, etc or even games, it's got no problems with it. If you wanna record full screen, window or a self defined area is up to you, it's really worth looking into i think ;) thanks for this tutorial, with a few adjustments a good foundation for my lava dude I'm creating :'D
Looks awesome, I had a similar method but didn't used the smooth and bevel modifiers
Hi I have a question. When I print with displacement modifier, can I see on my product or this is just for rendering ?
That's kick-ass.
OMG thank you so much for this!
Great Job !!!
great tutorial. Took me a few tries, but it works well. when i tried to apply the modifiers to simple vertices in a line i get a thicker mesh, almost like the diplace strength and midlevel are pushed out. however in your vid they seem to scale to the size of the verts as single stones. any ideas here?
просто бомбезно))) удачи с каналом, надеюсь не забросишь)) правда оч круто выходит, надо на ноуте попробовать такое намудрить, не знаю только, вытянет ли он (сабдив 6, хмммм.....)
Dude you are a hero!!!
With the first object, I had issues because the scale was wrong. S + 5 should do it. I think with a newer version, you have to apply first the scale for the second object before you press Ctrl + L to apply the modifier. So scale your second object and then press Ctrl + A and apply scale ( In my case I had to apply the position as well). But still, it does not look like in the video
He happened to be in edit mode when he did the scaling.
one of the best
Such a nice style, thank you !
Could you by any chance make the next video about the animated waterfall ? It just looks impressive.
Hi, great tutorial....wanna ask...What does it mean when you decimate planar at 15 degree?
Came from Reddit, PS I love you
