I remember this. I hadn't been impressed by Conan yet, mostly because of the awkwardness of the show in its early days and because I still missed Letterman's Late Night, but man. Bad Religion on NBC?! I started hoping for Conan's success pretty quickly after this! Of all the network hosts, Conan had them on the most.

Though, I think if Jon Stewart had stayed on late night TV longer than he did, he'd probably have given Conan good competition for the Most-Appearances-By-Bad Religion title.

Its cool Conan had bands on like these guys. I found out about one of my favorite bands The Living End through Conan's show.

Feel the same. Letterman too. Although I wasn’t the biggest fan of Dave’s show, he often had on underground acts which he didn’t have to.

Disappointed the backing vocals didn't sing that one part in the final chorus, but still a solid performance 👌

They should have opened with, "continuous tuning." Jay struck a nerve called dissonance.

The E string on his bass is dreadfully out of tune. The others aren't too bad.

Three years later but it's an Irish sport called hurling. Look it up on youtube, it's played on a pitch longer than a football pitch and one of the fastest sports in the world.

Wow. They were so green here. Years later they set the bar SO high at their live at The Pallidium.

Also; not sure what the word “green” means in the context of the original comment

A seriously hard hitting song about the human condition on a humorous, light entertainment show seems rather jarring.
