Can TF2 YouTubers beat my escape room?

- What happens when I actually try to make a decent TF2 map instead of trolling? Presumably this! This is a single player TF2 puzzle map meant to emulate an escape room. Each person is dropped in with no information and has to make it through each room as fast as they can. Can everyone make it to the end in a timely manner, or will the inferior stock be weeded out? Time will tell!
Thanks to @TheWhatShow, @zenithzv, and @fishstickonastick-gaming for joining! Their channels are cool too if you want to check them out.

I just straight up refuse to believe that Fish Stick, the smart ass weapon balancing dude of tf2 youtube scene, can't do basic rocket jumps but can hit like 10 consecutive frame perfect bhops on lava lmao
These videos of yours really bring them down to earth for me and show that they are just as normal people as we all are, and not some infinitely wise and skilled gaming gods afterall
Huge props and respect to you, your content and your test subjects lmao
He may be using a bhop script
of course they arent gaming gods
He's a Sniper main; Bhopping is the closest thing to a mobility option that class has.
Fish is just generally an idiot in these vids and it explains a lot about his content and opinions
Between shit takes on balancing and playing Sniper, he needs to redeem himself somehow-

to be fair, fish on a stick instantly clued in on the 4 ammo packs thing for the pyramid whilst thewhat just got a clue that saved him 10 minutes on that section
@@wisp7741instantly is a little rich
16:17 god it's been almost 10 years and people still reference old Jerma/Star jokes i love this community
I recently saw in a vid (dont remeber from who) where the dude was being in a "place you shouldnt be" on sawmill as amby spy
This is why I like fish. He's constantly referencing old Jerma and Ster videos.
Would be cool to see those guys play these maps.
holy shit its been ten years since that video..
i don't mean to brag or anything; but when they got to the pyramid and i saw the discolored top, i instantly said "Stand Atop the Four Pillars" all excitedly, then i saw four pillars and jumped outta my chair.
I remember that one star in sm64 dude, so so well!
I made that association immediately too! I've played way too much sm64.
FUCKING SAME
The discolored top actually existed atop some real piramids. It was way, way smaller, but much shinier
Yeah same, I felt it was that as soon as I noticed one of the torches was lit and that their directions corresponded to the pillars formation. Really clever
Yeah like have none of them played SM64???
Tf2 youtubers forgot the existance of the Base Jumper
it hurt watching how easy the Beggar's jumping would be if they just used the parachute.
to be fair, when i went through this map i did the entire last zone without the base jumper by c-tapping off the lava and grabbing the big health packs so reset the fire damage
@@objectionablycurious that's not really a "to be fair" scenario, it mostly sounds like you gave yourself more work for little reason.

the fact nobody immediately thought of spy when blue said "which class likes eating slugs" as the hint 😭 it's what I thought because idk... French people eat snails
I still don't get the hint lol thought the same thing
@@plbster yeah! what the frick does that hint mean??
Slug(s) is also used as a name for "solid ballistic projectiles". In this case it may reference how the sentry "eats" demo pipes and stickys
I assumed the hint was a reference to turtleing as engi, turtles eat slugs

I love the idea of Pyro attempting to cartoonishly bounce off the ground with the jetpack, but they just break their legs instead.

Loved watching Zenith descend into madness 10/10
I love how on the last bit TheWhat was just like "sticky jumping yay :D" and the other two are just "PAIN AND SUFFERING AND MISERY"
I don't how (if you could have) implemened it, but incorporating the Dalohkos bar into the final solution would have been great, because:
1. Don't Feed the Birds: Chocolate is actually poisonous for Parrots
2. Heavy wasn't used in the map at all, so it would take people a while to consider him the key, even more for a lunchbox item.
3. The Map would have started and ended with a Minecraft feature, feeding cocoa or cookies to Parrots in Minecraft kills them.
these are so enjoyable to watch. This was a genuinely well-made map, I loved every section's puzzles. But apparently, no one playing in the video has ever played Super Mario 64 in Shifting Sand Lands to stand tall on the 4 pillars.

hey great blue! this is a great video. solid distraction from the bugs eating my testicles

out of the 3, the person to realize the trigger for the torches was the ammo packs was the one person who didn't even look at it when the torch was lit. Even better, the other two looked *directly at it, crosshair over the torch* and somehow it didn't click.
13:56 Zenith trying to wavedash:
the reveal that Fish said the exact words "sus amogus" completely unprompted, implying that that's where Blue got the idea for Zenith's hint was beautiful
loved how all three of them, without fail, in the escape map, see random hard-to-reach ammo packs atop 4 pillars and go "oh it's just an ammo pack" and ignore it.
I actually tried the map, and I got stuck trying to find the red key. Put that shit in the most innocuous position possible. Stickyjumping was hell. Everything else made me feel clever and it almost made the few thousand hours I had in TF2 worth it. Almost. 9/10.
36:21 Silly looking ragdoll.
I absolutely love this! So much fun seeing three people figuring out which mechanics can be used to solve the puzzles. Large improvement on the last map. Keep it up.
Great blue swore guys! 22:45 We gotta expose him now!
Props to Fish for his devotion to the beggar's
i bet it's really satisfying when players use the hints you provide through map design to get the puzzle right, that map is awesome btw, good job Blue

Zenis is the best player to put in these challenges, genuinely effortlessly funny guy
43:54 “Zesty Cheesus” lol
THe pyramid instantly made me think SM64 and I know that would've been the first thing I tried
Immediately when I saw the 4 pillars I knew what to do. It then made me lose hope in all 3 of them when they didn't realise at all.

Do not be surprised if any of these 3, in any combination, show up to your house with a ski/gas mask and a weapon.
Awesome video!
I love how we can see each of them find something sooner than the others, and excel at something.
TheWhat would of finished 20 min before everyone if he had found that cutout a little faster
Them killing the bird at the end shows them letting go of the trauma great blue has put them through, and reaching a form of happiness they haven’t been able to achieve in years.
3:09 Oh my god I figured the minecraft block out, Blue you crazy genius
You would've thought that they would've learned after the last Great Blue video they were on

I'm really loving these, I'd be really happy if you did more. I think it would be really fun if for the next one you made them work together and try to solve it at once.
Can’t with the “Minecraft with Gadget” reference from Show.
36:16 This fall made me laugh 🤣
I imagine these take a lot of work, but I'd love to see more of these. These are real fun and the reactions are hilarious.
I love this series! Keep it up!
The troll map video you made was my favorite, this one is another banger
This video was even better than the troll map one, and I think that's because the map was actually clever to go through and solve.
Great stuff :D
Amazing video, keep up the great work on the maps
"what class likes eating slugs the most" Engie is the answer? I don't understand. Escargot is a typically very French dish, so I thought it was suppose to be spy.
3:48 those two words just brought back a whole host of memories omg
this is pretty cool. and yeah, the little chute you send stickies down would be an interesting mechanic to look into. i haven't played tf2 in nearly a year. i jumped in and tried it out, even after watching the video it took me 45 mins cause i had to get used to the controls once again. i even went into noclip afterwards and watched the stickies (scottish resist) go down the chute.
you could make a 2 player version. same as this, but you could actually race against someone and get a live update when they cap their points
This was so fun to watch, please do more similar ideas!
The wooden cutout section is actually phenomenal, would love to see more puzzle maps like that
The moment I saw the pyramid part my brain went "Stand Tall On The Four Pillars"
And I haven't played SM64 in a really long while
I don't understand the "which class likes eating slugs" clue...
further evidence that sniper mains are incapable of rocket jumping or any movement based mechanics
Why is section 2 just that one star from Mario 64? It’s just _Stand Tall on the Four Pillars_
A bunch of situations where I found the solution before you showed it in the video. Like the columns with the ammo packs and the torches.
A great map. Can't wait to see more.
I love how throughout the whole video you set things up for them to learn by, and they consistently every single time completely disregard them lmao
I really like this new style of video keep it up!
Watching them get through the first door and then checking the time bar on the video sure is an experience.
