The Left side speaker of my ASUS GL553VE Laptop also has the same issue. Its speaker paper has holes in it caused by ants. I wish to place another speaker inside that left speaker box after removing the damaged speaker. If it is possible? What is its speaker specification and its size. It is round in shape. I tried to fix it by using the glue but the noise from that speaker is too low to be heard. So, a replacement of the left speaker is the only solution for me.

@@jacobspeeds Yes, I have now replaced the speakers myself with new ones which I bought from ebay. But ASUS India service is pathetic and they are greedy. When I enquired with their Service Centre in Cochin over phone, they simply replied that the pair of Speakers of this model comes along with its RGB Keyboard in one pack and I necessarily have to replace the otherwise better-working RGB keyboard also for getting the speakers replaced at their ASUS Service Centre. I understood very well their intention of looting the customer by suggesting unnecessary replacement of the finely working RGB Keyboard too. I had clearly mentioned to them that I am a hardware person and I know how to replace the speakers once the part is made available to me. They said that they are helpless and they won't sell the part (speakers only) separately to anyone in India. I now warn ASUS prospective customers in India, not to buy any ASUS product. This is because their intention is not customer service and customer satisfaction. Their sole objective was looting, looting and looting alone. Otherwise, why should one replace the costly RGB keyboard also for getting the speakers replaced? This way, ASUS India has exposed themselves their way of customer-(dis)service. I then started searching for the same and I found the right part in ebay and placed my order. It took about 45 days for the product to reach me and I bought it for less than Rs.1,600/- and if I had got it serviced in India, ASUS must definitely have looted me by charging more than Rs.10,000/- against the actual amount spent by me to buy the same from ebay. The only thing that it took 45 days to reach me since the product was shipped thru Hong Kong and Netherlands,. But I got the original speakers and I myself have replaced the same within 10 minutes of its arrival and the same works fine for me. IT IS MY FERVENT REQUEST TO ALL ASUS CUSTOMERS NOT TO BUY OR GET YOUR ASUS PRODUCT FROM INDIA AS YOU HAVE EVERY CHANCE OF BEING LOOTED IN THE NAME OF SERVICE because they will unnecessarily suggest replacing even the better-working components to rectify a small problem. So please beware of Indian service centres of ASUS.

@@sivakumarb9749 that's terrible! But could it be just the Cochin service center alone that's bad?

@@jacobspeeds No. I have represented this matter thru the ASUS website and they are simply asking for the Service Slip Number and other details. But since I have telephonically enquired about this with the ASUS Cochin Service Centre as I wanted to get an idea of what it costs to replace the speakers before entrusting my laptop for service. I made three calls to the Cochin Service Centre and since the cost was too high (as it included the cost for replacing the RGB Keyboard also), I decided NOT to entrust my laptop with the ASUS Service Centre, Cochin. I contacted the Chennai and Bangalore service Centres, but they simply replied that the part is not available with them. They are all out to loot the customers once the product is sold and if it developed any snag just after its warranty period, they will either plead that the part is not available, or they will speak of charging exorbitant rates for the snag to be rectified. This was my experience with ASUS India.
