Wow.. I’ve watched just about every single video available pertaining to GRC exhaust. Not only does this one LOOK the best (finally. One that makes the triple outlet look good), but holy cow.. this hands down sounds the BEST that I’ve heard too! Absolutely lovely. Loved the video man. Great, great job.
Appreciate you watching! I’ve been through the same thing… watching and listening to everything. A friend of mine, we have been assisting 2J Racing and what they have produced we feel the same way. It’s a different sound, deeper, but sounds even better in person. You pair this with the 2J Racing Midpipe and it sounds incredible!
Glad you enjoyed it! It's one of the best current available exhausts on the market IMO... sounds perfect. Paired with the 2J Racing midpipe, this combo is hard to beat.
@@CarQuicksBro I need the scoop, how you really like the combo 2J midpipe and exhaust. I got the midpipe but I see they have a sale on the exhaust? Any drone on it????
Definitely the best looking exhaust so far. Sound wise. I think the HKS one sounds just a little bit better. Definitely sounds better than most of the other after markets i've heard so far. Trying to pick one for my gr corolla
I REALLY like the HKS exhaust as well, that and 2J Racing are 1 and 2 for me for the best current exhaust I have heard. A not so far 3rd option is FI Exhaust, but you will pay.
With the proper 3-tip look and sound, this definitely jumps to the top of my list. I would say, if I went 2J I'd go full catback. Now, If I were to do only midpipe or only mufflers, I'd get the midpipe. The midpipe adds the throatiness that the stock exhaust is missing, while the mufflers simply add a tiny bit of sound while reducing the "talking inside of a barrel" muffledness of the OEM muffler. Now, all of this sounds good and all, but now we gotta look at the cost...
We don’t have pricing yet, but 2JRacing is not on the high end or reasonable side of pricing when it comes to their products. The midpipe I previously reviewed is available for pre-order now. There are a few people I’ve ran into who are planning to run just that, as it adds a nice character/sound to the car even with the stock exhaust.
Nice sounds! Exhaust looks great with the quality welds. Question: Has this exhaust decrease your ground clearance? It looks like it angles downward, but maybe it's just the angle of the camera. You need to invest in a Quick Jack for those diy jobs and get more working clearance under the car...great video on the exhaust.
It does look like that from videos, but the angle does not decrease the ground clearance. However, I will say I do not have to navigate overly steep driveways, but everyday driving has not been an issue.
So one question, I’m unable to perceive a difference between stock midpipe and 2JR midpipe, maybe due to mic. Is it louder? deeper? Cleaner? Has more pops? Has some higher pitches also?
It is hard to tell via video, I did a second video of me installing this midpipe on my channel, that better showcases the sound. But to answer you, yes the tone is deeper, cleaner and more robust to the car.
So what do the tips look like now after all the adjustments? Only thing bothering me about this is how misaligned they all are, even the center tips don't seem right
I was in the same boat, however this was a prototype we ran, so it was expected adjustments needed to be made. The complete finished exhaust is now available on 2JRacing website with all tips aligned and centered.
Pretty much what @thrust83 said… it’s not so much volume but tone and character. It adds in that missing piece to the OEM exhaust and gives it a better sound.
Where did your friend get those vitz badges from and do they clip right onto the OEM panels? I'm wanting to get a set if you could point me in the right direction since they're about 60 USD a pop don't want to buy something that ain't gonna work 😅
Man! I’ve been waiting for a an exhaust with this exact look for awhile! No price or release date just yet, but very soon. The mid-pipe is currently available for preorder.
Anyone else got one of these? Im trying to find it but seems like the only place is to get it straight from them? Also its only listed at $880? Something just doesnt seem right? Sounds great though!
I personally do not know of anyone else but 2J-Racing selling them directly. And they are a legit company, good people. The price you see is correct, they are definitely not one of the companies trying to price gouge people for parts.
I never saw that on any exhaust install I have seen or done. The only way that could happen in one instance, is if you run the car hard enough (think track racing), where the rear differential gets too hot and the car goes into a temporary limp mode, to cool down and preserve it. Were you driving it hard before the message?
Do you guys have a Center Valve canceling plug? Because that center valve plug probably causing the problem. If not, I have to remove the whole Midpipe & Catback exhaust and install factory again which is a money waste. That never happens until I installed this.
I'm so torn right now. I LOVE the sound of this setup and it's currently on super sale on their site but RK Titanium is literally about to drop their system which is like 20lbs lighter than stock, sounds good and the same price as 2J at its normal price 😫
You and me both, my friend now has this setup in his car, as we were running the prototype. I was dead set on it, then I saw the single exit from RK, and now I’m think that paired with the 2J Midpipe may be the one. But… then the tri-tip is so nice!
I’m on the fence too, were you the one who posted on the the GR Forum? I don’t even care much about the weight, what I need to know is if it Drones?? @CarQuicks let us know , also have the 2J midpipe in my garage. How do you like the sound of that combo?? Got that because of your review and good price 👍🏽. Wonder why they have the exhaust at such a discount..
@CarQuicks RK has mentioned that their system is modular so if they end up making a tri-tip it should be a quick and easy swap. And they have mentioned the desire and expectation to offer more exit designs.
@@Vaesive 😂. Yeah I need a 3 exit, not interested in a single or just middle. This deal for the 2J is just too good to miss out. Damn it hard to make up my mind! I love the Remark TI but it’s super expensive.
Actually in the first video I did on the midpipe, we have audio of just the midpipe and the stock exhaust. I think you’ll like it! You’ll find it on my video list!
So, I haven’t heard any drone. Though I know this is sensitive to everyone’s ear. The tone is deep, but you don’t get that low vibration tone that almost puts you to sleep. It’s a very clean sound.
My friend who’s car it is used a signal box, he said to change/delay the light flash. I don’t have exact information on the device he used, but that’s how it was described. Hope that helps!
Hey thanks for watching! No price yet but 2JRacing is not a company who price their products in the high end or unreasonably high. Release will be very soon and will come with a preorder. The midpipe is currently available for preorder.
I haven't run any official dynos, but the unofficial butt-dyno says there is a nice bump in midrange. Given the pipe diameter, there is room for a performance increase, though I would say a full tune after would be your best choice for the most power gains.
The exhaust is being finalized still, btu the midpipe is available now. You can order it here, tell them CarQuicks sent you! 2K Racing Midpipe: www.2j-racing.com/corolla-gr/3-resonated-midpipe-corolla-gr-in-stock.html
Its not lightweight like say Titanium. Though 2JRacing does have a titanium exhaust for the GR Corolla. Its may come to like within a a few pounds of the stock exhaust, but its built SOLID and sounds great.

I've been on the fence as to which midpipe + exhaust system but this instantly took my top spot with no questions :grabby hands:
It's one of teh best (if not teh best) sounding exhaust combos on the market right now.
Hey! Thank you! Midpipe already installed. I'm still waiting for this to release date.
Same here! Glad you’re enjoying the midpipe. Hopefully soon we get some additional updates on our end.
How you liking the stock muffler with the Midpipe? Oder mine a month or so , still waiting. I think they’ll start shipping here in a couple of weeks..
@@JG-mg3if It's added to stock.

Got the mid pipe on order, not sure if I’ll do the exhaust. Love the sound , mid pipe and stock exhaust. The video you made while back 👍🏽

My man, you need a better mic so we can experience what you are. Looks good. I think they should include a valve like MagnaFlow did though.
Haha who you telling… it’s high time I move past the DJI wireless. I’ll have to add that to the growing list of things I need.
I’m really liking this exhaust just wish it reused the factory valve. Might still get this and modify it to accept the factory valve.
The factory valve is usually where the cost jumps fairly high on all exhaust for the GRC.

I was in the same boat, however this was a prototype we ran, so it was expected adjustments needed to be made. The complete finished exhaust is now available on 2JRacing website with all tips aligned and centered.
This is sick. How much louder is it in person with the 2J mid pipe + 2j exhaust versus oem mid pipe and 2j exhaust?
The midpipe adds more substance to the tone than volume. The difference is better experienced in person.
Pretty much what @thrust83 said… it’s not so much volume but tone and character. It adds in that missing piece to the OEM exhaust and gives it a better sound.

I believe he bought those off eBay and they do clip right in.
Did I hear some back fires!? burbles?? THANK YOU FOR YOUR SWEAT SIR.

I installed but I got a Reduced Engine Power message. What's that means? Any of that message before?

Yeah we have been in talks with them since they posted the first teaser a few months ago.
Sound amazing in person!
can we get this set up vs the AWE track exhaust?
I'm actually looking to get this setup next to at least the AWE Touring
