I was interested in how the mango slicer works? But peeling the skin off I would just normally use a knife, I’m Asian and even the way we hold the knife is different, I can’t explain 😅 But yep 👍 😊
I need to order one of these. I make a lot of mango and banana smoothies with goat milk. My method of peeling is easy, but removing the stone is a real pain. Hey! If I see one at Goodwill, I'll now know what it is :-) btw, I'm working on my first Goodwill video. I had quite an experience, yesterday.
A bit wasteful. With a chef's knife cut the end flat which the stem attached to making a flat base. Now, with a vegetable peeler, like a potato, peel off the rind to the base. You can now pick up the fruit and peel the top with the vegetable peeler. Use the chef's knife to cut the seed out. Wastes very little. Right now, mangos in the PNW are going for close to $2.00 a piece!
Amazing cutter but the problem is, Everytime I buy a mango, it turns out stringy and so fibery. I can never find a good mango. Kiett mangos are so hard to find. Please help me. I love to eat mangos and I love making a nice presentation with them as you did in the video.
Primarily for taste. I like the juxtaposition between tart and sweet. But the acid in the lemon juice can also help prevent discoloration, similar to when you put lime juice on avocados when making guacamole. Cheers!
Very cool that the base can be used to scoop the mango after cutting. Excellent video. Cheers
Thank you! 🙏
Great video
I was looking up Mango slicers because I seen one at the store and I love Mangos!
Glad to hear! Months later, I continue to use this device every time I need to cut a mango. It's been very useful. Cheers!

That is frustrating! Maybe ask your local market if they can order a different type, or try finding them elsewhere? Thanks for watching 🙏
Thanks chef!! 🥭🥭🥭🥭🥭🥭

Oooh!
Why did you sprinkle lemon juice on them at the end?

@I Want To Cook excellent feedback, you're awesome
Eat the skin with the flesh! It is a great contrast of flavor and texture
