if you're not a fan of those super smooth edges, I saw a video where the artist took sheets of gold leafing and mixed that with resin until the flakes were rather small and then applied it to the sides instead of gold paint. I've never done it personally but it seems like it would add a little more texture. :)
Fantastic, someone who was first and did not need to advertise that fact but instead concentrated on the video content!!! You are a beautiful person. Have a great life!! 🙂🙂
Love what the acrylic paint did 😍, I’m with you on a more authentic finish to edges. I started using putty to create coaster moulds etc ... from watching your channel ❤️
@@EdnaWargon nail technicians use this coasters as palletes for colours then they need to clean and normally they use acetone to wipe So that's what i meant
I am wondering if the part with the acrylic paint is really hard? I have always heard not to mix more than 1:10 ratio of paint to resin because it can keep it from curing properly.
@@EdnaWargon ah d'accord. Pour les bords extérieurs j'avais compris que c'était du vernis mais je pensais que c'était autre chose à l'intérieur de la résine. Merci beaucoup.
hi there ! I randomly saw your review on mica powders from Arteza and noticed you were based in France and you shared your youtube page in the review so I just had to check your work out and it's been a delight ^^ I read parts of your interview but I still have no answer to the most basic question, althought I do have an idea. Are you French or do you just live in France ? I'm a self employed artist myself, French and living in the middle of France ^^ I rarely come accross art channels from France, but in English and based on your accent you clearly don't sound very much French :p but i'm just curious to know, if you were not born here, what made you chose to live here then ? ^^
Hi there, in a nutshell, i was born in London and 20 years ago married a French man 😁 I have both nationalities but i feel more French than English since i live here permanently 😇 Nice to meet you on my channel, hope i answered all your doubts 😋💜💜💜
This is what I do not understand. It's not easy to paint on resin's smooth surface and she just painted the edges with varnish mixed with mica powder without any preparation like priming it. I have tried painting my resin and the paint wouldn't adhere to the surface and it's frustrating.
She, I guess that's me :) i don't have a problem with it but you could sand down the sides first with a fine grit 220 sandpaper first if your not managing.
11:00 starts showing how to paint with gold gilding liquid. Thanks!

Wauw that’s so awesome🤩 thank you so much for sharing you’re great too about the gold and the varnish🙌❤️
Thank you! Cheers Kimmie! 🥰
The acrylic paint mix certainly had an odd and interesting effect in this one, eh? I'd like to see more experiments with that stuff. Cool!

It did, didn't it Pam, definately will be using these more 😍😍😍
Just beautiful Edna.

Beautiful Edna! I love the sparkly purple!
Merci Sheri 💜💜💜
Thank you so much, 🌹now I know what to use if ever I don't have the pen one. ☺️ More power❤️
Cheers, more power back 😎😎😎
Thank you so kindly. Very informative ❤️🥰

Very pretty Edna, love the "puffy" pink effect from the paint and of course the tips for the gold powder. Have a lovely day Edna :)
Have a lovely day too Mandy 😘
Does this affect on the colour whether it's dry? Also is this acetone resistant?! 🤔
what do you mean by acetone resistant or the effect on colour???

@@fatimanailstudio 😂 i use mine for wine glasses 🍷I'm not a nail technician, I'm a resin artist creating elegant home decor 😊
Is that a transparent resin? Can I use ready made colourful resin? I want to preserve flowers in that please help me
Its transparent epoxy resin

Hi. This coaster is rock hard it cured perfectly but you are right, never put more than 10% of pigments or you risk the resin not curing fully.
Looks lovely. Just wanted to know if this resin is heat resistant? Thanks
Yes as long as you wait a week
Thanks so much for the reply 😊
Bonjour, quel type d'alcool !mélangez vous avec la poudre dorée pour colorer dans la résine ?
J’ai mélangé du vernis acrylique brillant avec la poudre pour créer une liquide dorure or :)

So cute! Gonna try it! Thank you, @raepoxy 😉

Is it permanent after it dries...the guilding liquid
Acrylic varnish is like a glue so yes.
Sorry.. I didn't understand the use of soap water and water in the video.. can you please let me know
Soap?
What you mentioned in two cups at 12.22 one with water and other one.. didn't understand the use of it
@@siara928 the liquid is clear acrylic varnish
