These are amazing. I love them. I tried them so much I tried one myself and it turned out beautiful, I used Platinum resin, it’s an Australian brand. Can’t wait to see what you do next 🙏🏼🇦🇺😍
Hi Kim, I'm an Aussie too from the Sunshine Coast and love to know where you get your supplies from and what is the best resin you have used, platinum resin??
I love how those turned out. Very beautiful. I watched your entire tutorial, but I still don't understand how you got the cloud effect. I must be missing something. Can you explain please? Thank you.
There is none I've found exactly this colour, i often make my own colours up by mixing pigments or mica tones together, I'm sure there is a video where I show this colour and how I made it, sorry but I cant remember which one exactly! if i find it i'll reply here :)
Very very nice, like how you work! Can you please tel me what you use for the “little feet’s” on the back of the coaster? Thanks and looking forward for more videos xx
Hi 👋. I use sticky backed silicone pads for furniture. They come in different sizes and I use small ones. They protect scratches from delicate surfaces 😍
Hi, what you do is great ! If I make/create a plate that I don't like, can I modify it ?How can I modify a resin plate ? = put it in the microwave to melt it? In hot water? Or with a paint stripper? Thank you so much.
This video has all the details, i bought these from the same shop online AliExpess "ArtCabuchon" store, cheaper than amazon. ruclips.net/video/8wnPWSUwLZg/видео.html
Love it ❤️ could you let me know if I use the same resin and wait a bit longer and pour (without the clear underneath). Do you think it will work 😂 for the cloud ☁️
@@EdnaWargon that's brilliant thank you ... It's nice finding a UK based channel so I can get the same products 😁. Have you done any dragon scale coasters ? I'm still struggling to get them to work 🙄 I have been using a casting resin but wonder if I need to use to a thicker resin ?

@@EdnaWargon ah thank you, I don’t think we don’t have that here in Australia but I’ll check it out. Any idea what that type of shape of mould is called?
Those were stunning! I have the exact molds but had to throw three of them away. Not sure what is wrong, I torch lightly, but the sides stick to the resin. Could it be the resin I’m using? They look beautiful after I “carve” the silicone off, sand the sides and use a leafing pen on the edges. Any ideas what I’m doing wrong? Thanks if you can comment.
Absolutely it can depend on the resin I have found some resins that I used to use in the past were more prone to sticking to my molds and tore them when unmolding, then they were a total write-off what resin are you using? 🥰
Kim, I've seen several reputable artists recommend putting the mods in the freezer for a few hours and supposedly the resin just pops off. I haven't tried it myself, but I thought I'd pass it on since the advice came from sources I trust. :)
Easy, you use the bottom side 😜 that's what I do but that's the only way to achieve this effect and many others, is by doing it backwards. That's how the flower effect works too. Hours of experimentation and wasted resin by myself and other artists so you don't have to waste your resin. Thanks for watching and happy Arting 💙💙💙
If this is foolproof then I'm a fool! Mine didn't turn out nearly as good as yours. What colour did you use? I used mica powder for the teal and white pigment for the white.
No fools allowed to watch my videos, so you can't be one 😝 i used glitter for the white and a mix of blues for the teal, and as I said in the beginning of this tutorial the type of resin you use makes a big difference 💙💙💙
Those are brilliant, those!
Cheers my gear, glad you like them.💜
Still coming back to rewatch this one!
They are one of my favourites, sold a bunch thanks to the clouds ⛅ 😀

Yes, exactly 👍

Hi, in the video 02:08 I set a timer for 35 minutes after pouring the resin in the the mold, then I poured the colour, this is the trick :)
Plus I used Craft Resin for this, it gives me the best results. Hope this helps :)
@@EdnaWargon thank you Edna. I am certainly gonna have to give this a whirl.

Absolutely not, cured resin is final and you cant go back to liquid form. DO NOT ever put it in the microwave!

Teal from Mrs Coloberry

gorgeous! How deep can the layers be with Craft resin?
Not sure, they have a great team who work for them, why not send them a message to find out. 😉
thanks for the video and information 🙂 could you please tell me what do you use on the base of the coasters as a stand, those plastic things?
Its in one of my beginners video, number 3, just rubber bumpers

Plastic dots
