I wish the copyright situation didn't exist on YT. Such a shame when people are trying to talk about and play certain songs. I do watch vids where things are played but I presume it's because they're not mainstream songs/artists so they slip through the copyright net? Wish I wasn't so focused on buying OGs, I do question my sanity. I just hope they do hold their value if I ever decide to start selling my collection. Good chat chaps... cheers Nige

@@nigelcampag1290 It’s just better for the soul to hunt for OG’s. It’s scientifically proven (I think) - haha. Have a great weekend Nige ✌🏻

Some originals are better and some reissues are better. Mixed bag but I always get on originals!

No, reissues don't destroy value because they bring more traction and a larger audience to the release. If there are only 2 first pressings out there to buy; not many will have the chance to have a copy.

Fair point. Do you feel reissues can drive up the demand for originals in some cases?

@@ConcertBuddie Yes, it's like airplay; reissues raise awareness exponentially. Some old forgotten record is just that. DJ samples and several soundtracks kept classic soul alive. On any streaming service, the most common number of streams per month for the song of median popularity is zero streams.

@@chriskitsopoulos9851 True story. I’ve found the best return on bringing records to stores is in credit/trade. Some are far better at this than others. How have you fared in the credit/trade department?

@@chriskitsopoulos9851 For sure. I’ll trade in bulk to get store credit on “common” titles and usually try to sell more expensive titles myself online. *Emphasis on “try”. Thanks so much for watching and sharing these great points! 🙏🏻
