I like the cliff-hanger at the end.
That said, I hope someone else comments because I read ALPHA FLIGHT # 26 before # 25 BITD (missed it in real-time when I returned from being stationed overseas).
My major impression from # 25 was (and still is): a PINPOINT landing on Ganymede? Are you kidding me?
My second impression was: a PINPOINT landing on Ganymede, "ten thousand years in the past"? Are you ________ kidding me?
When I got the chance to look back at # 12, I could go, "Okay, the rest of ALPHA FLIGHT didn't see the fight between BOX and Mac (but the reader did), didn't see BOX rip the cybernetic helmet from Mac's head, didn't see Mac "tear out some circuits" from his battlesuit in a last-ditch effort to defeat BOX. So maybe----MAYBE---every Alphan (and quasi-Alphan) who heard that story believed it.
But I can imagine Northstar rolling his eyes as "Mac" is telling this tale. I imagine Judd thinking, "This is a bunch of BS." And I can imagine Michael and Aurora looking at each other and thinking, "We're supposed to believe this nonsense?"
But that's just me. Mileage may vary.

It's not a great explanation for what happened, and I have a feeling that was on purpose. On the other hand, Alpha was just in an alternate dimension where they retrieved the soul of a departed friend and put it inside a robot body. Is Guardian's story more outlandish than that? But yeah - the story was a bit iffy and I would have liked to have seen one or two members of Alpha suspicious. Could have made the next issue more interesting.

@@jmstater Good point. And I agree that at least one skeptic among ALPHA FLIGHT would have made this issue better and the next more interesting.
In the video, it is mentioned that Guardian's death is not public knowledge. This is going to be significant once the switchover takes place.
