Exciting times! I've finally got around to getting my Austin Mini Designer special edition back onto it's wheels for the first time in years. Join me as I show you the steps that I took to get the car back onto the ground.

I finally got caught up, firstly good for you saving this car! Couple of quick things, did you take off the front shock mounts, they almost always have rusted away behind them. And the other thing is for an MOT any non factory joins, e.g. the patches in the boot must have a continuous seam weld along the edges for it to pass. Hopefully not too late to address any you joggled and plugged. Great milestone to have her back on 4 wheels!

Thanks! No, I didn't do the shock mounts but my next plan is to start looking at the front end. I have seen some horror pics of corrosion on the mounts 😮.
Boot floor I'm not too worried about as it will hopefully look like an invisible repair and I'm happy with the strength.

@@BlakesDen sure unlikely they will be seen but just letting you know, in case you didn't know the rule, as would be demoralising to get it all together to then be failed for something small like that. Good luck with the rest of it!
