i just wanna say that alula and calamus are a stunning display of optimisim. despite losing their parents, their home, and just about all they had were eachother, and they still chose to be happy for what they had.

The light that shines above beyond. This light... Is this the feeling I've been longing for? The longing of people of whom I love? The longing of having someone to guide you on in the darkness? A year late but I kinda agree with this. Some stuff are very messed up with people in the world we are in. In OneShot, the world is messed up, but the people aren't and I think i'd rather be there.
I get some of what you're saying, but if you think this world is without real love, you just need to look just a little harder. It's all over the place, but it's easy to miss when the bad parts are so noticeable. Making and keeping the world better can be a difficult thing to do, but I know that the more of us that try to keep love for everybody in our hearts, the better the world gets. I like to think it's slowly getting better and better. Maybe that could just be my optimistic mind, but I know a lot of loving people, and know from experience that there is real love here. Please, try not to give up hope.
It's hard to feel mad or sad when listening to this it calms you down and forget everything but if I listen to this for too long I will cry because of the game and its beautiful story and characters (at least for me)
Yeah, I found out about this game not too long ago. It's ost is a piece for sure and I can't listen to it for too long as well. I just start feeling bad, as if all the feelings from the moment you have to choose whether to smash sun or to return sun, are all rushing straight into your soul. Gosh. I love this game so much. oneshot ruins are kinda sad, whilst undertale ruins are a pretty happy introductory area, toriel's house as well. also sad that alula got trapped in there

I really loved the Glen as the area right before the Refuge. You get to see how people have adapted to living in this dying world, but in a more communal way than the more industrial Refuge.
So much content to watch that if you tried to watch every thing. It would take many many lifetimes to watch it all and by then new content will have be created.
I think I now know why the Sun shines even when it is not connected to a power source. Because the light of the "Sun" is the belief of the inhabitants of that world in the best even at the threshold of the end of the world

Now this is a different type of ruins compared to Undertale's. I suppose it isn't that hard to see that, but the thought's there.
undertale has the same complexity, but it's pretty easy to figure out what they were going for.
