This track is definitely my favourite in the game. Just by listening, you feel just how dire everything is, how you're running out of time. The eleventh hour has begun, everybody has lost hope. The clock ticks dreadfully towards the end. No time for pancakes, or riding roombas. All the characters you know and love are gone. Silver, Alula, Calamus and Plight are all gone. Niko is alone, with only one goal in mind. Saving the world, before it is too late. You have come much, much later this time. No chance to read the suicide note left by somebody in the Barrens, who died too soon. No chance to get to know the characters, the world whizzes by. No time for sleep. Niko is upset. No time to use up all of the film in the camera room, to get the ultimate photo. The world's lifespan is measured in mere hours. Everybody left waits for the dreadful final tick of the clock. 'Here we are, at the eleventh hour.' 'I wonder if the big clock has reached zero yet.' 'I want to be here when everything ends.'

This comment perfectly describes the reason why I beat the whole game in one day. First I beat the main ending but I wanted to get the other one as I felt bad for letting Niko die. It was about midnight but the game was pretty short so I thought I could finish it again. Then I fell for the fake save file and was surprised that Niko said my name at the beginning. When I got to the point this song was playing it was 3am and I was extremely tired however I kept going because this song made it feel even more like I couldn't just abandon everyone and go to sleep.
I know there are many words with which I could describe how this game makes me feel... but they just don't come out This game, its music, the story and Niko... it all takes my breath away
After playing Oneshot this music gives the sense of urgency and panic but yet keeping that slow long depressing beat realizes that everything is falling apart oneshot to fix with little time left never in a game where i felt like those charaters were real not only that but keeping in mind that the main hero is a child
I remember being really emotional making the final choice in the regular route... but in the Solstice route, when this started playing, I cried like a baby. The urgency, the direness of the music, combined with the fact that Niko was _just a kid_ who now needed to rescue a world that was not only decaying, but _actively dying at the hands of a malicious entity,_ was just too much for me. And seeing all the characters huddled in the Refuge restaurant, all placing their hopes in me and Niko... it was the most unforgettable moment in Solstice, for sure.
And in the end... it wasn't even a *malicious* entity. It was just scared. The code that had been put into it, the World Machine, was simply too much for it to comprehend. *It quite literally, started to fold on itself.* That is why, in the final reflection, it is not trying to harm Niko. It just wants Niko to make it out alive, like their one true purpose.
The Entity/The World Machine was just scared. It started to fold in on itself; never trying to harm Niko but rather hoping Niko gets home as another comment said. But you… helped save it. And the world it belongs to.
Having this glitchy mess of what used to be The Catwalks and this music playing instead of "On Little Cat Feet" really gives you a "the word is ending" kind of feeling

this is what gave solstice its feel to me. that and also the cave scene where you're running for your life. The solstice run felt so real, this soundtrack set the mood SO WELL. it gives me the "Your time is running out, you have to find Rue before everyone fucking dies"
First ending: it’s heartbreaking but for some reason, even if it’s fake we need to save the world, I’m sorry niko… Solstice run: *world is being destroyed anyway by my actions*
I realized that I come here every time I have a deadline for school stuff. This song is the only thing I know that consistently motivates me to finish, since my deadline is literally at 11, I listen to this for hours up until I'm done.

OneShot kind of gave me Undertale vibes, with the whole "go back and get a better ending" thing they both did. But in Undertale, you went back and improved the lives of those you were only merely acquainted with, using their friendships to make you stronger. In OneShot, you don't improve their lives. You're just trying to get Niko out *alive.* And in the process, Niko learns a lot more about this world than they originally thought. They have to fight through the Eleventh Hour, when all hope seems to be lost. While the world crumbles around them, they decide in a last-ditch effort, to go into the heart of it all. They don't care if they might die or not anymore. This is what *needs to happen.* And in the end, they get their freedom. *But the damage is already done.* No matter what you do, Niko is *never* coming back. They have *escaped.* They are *gone.*
Oneshot World Machine Edition has officially been released! While it doesn't differ from the Steam version in terms of story or puzzles, the other extra content is so charming. I actually learned quite a bit through these new sessions.
As the hour strikes 11... I begin to realize... My life will never be the same... Within a single month... Everything has fallen apart... Soon there will no longer be hope...
It’s a downtrodden song, sure, but it has just the amount of comforting ambiance to push you forward. It sounds dire, and the name of the song implies that the end is nigh, but *something* is keeping you going when even the world itself has stopped being able to function. Most instruments have an echoing to them, like the piano and the synth(?) at the beginning, exhibiting a feeling of loneliness, but there’s parts where the guitar shines through, creating a feeling of comfort, like someone in the midst of a storm, assuring you that it will all be okay.
"The end is nigh, niko." "What's gonna happen?" "The world is ending" "Really?" "Yea" "I want to be there when the world ends" "I won't let you" "Why?" " *Because I won't let it end* " For you niko
Edit: Huge spoiler warning. I don’t think I can convey how much stress there was in the room was when this was playing. I thought the plane guy (Cedric?) and Prototype were dead. I had literally no idea how to help. It was terrifying, lol. But everything worked out. I think this game’s kinda symbolic in that way. I don't know why I wanna say I want a OneShot and Undertale cross over they almost have similar references to talking about resets and alternate timelines and endings. Unfortunately, I don't think one will ever happen or I'll even get support over it I mean it reminds me in a strange way how Undertale works probably because they're both 2 games about losing all hope in their world and the character is overseen as their saviors. Doubtful I can get anyone reading this right now would find it fascinating what would happen if OneShot and Undertale would crossover probably because of their unique properties and script writing.
spoler alert (characters and sequences, its not much tho) at first listening to this ost i felt like im traveling in a mysterious dead city yet with so many things going on such as abandoned machines that still work and street animals living and growing in broken buildings. and then you have a task, example collecting research pieces left in an abandoned lab after a disaster. now after watching the gameplay (i found oneshot by it's ost before the game and no i cant buy the game im broke) it makes me feel more like the scene where everyone is panicking because the world is ending and you're rushing to save the world. the name makes sense now, 'eleventh hour'. also cool game i watched the gameplay like only the scenes and some puzzles, also i kinda skipped the beginning (the part where you meet the robot lady) but i guess i kinda understand the story and its unique :p
It's too sad to think about it. Yes, we can replay Oneshot anytime we want... but that means we'll take Niko away from their home and mama... just to repeat the exact same thing. Not only that, the world machine will become all suicidal and hopeless like before. Worst of all, they'd never realise they've been doing the exact same thing over and over... without any memory of it. I would rather repeat the gamr through watching walkthrough, and leave the game untouched ever again, that way they both could leave happily with no interruption...

While the world crumbles around them, they decide in a last-ditch effort, to go into the heart of it all.
They don't care if they might die or not anymore. This is what *needs to happen.*
And in the end, they get their freedom.
Yeah this hits real hard. One of my favorite video game themes and i've played undertale and deltarune
This song gives me such calmness. Honestly i love one shot but its sad its such a underrated game
*WHO TOOK MY STAPLER*
Me (sorry)
I HAVE BEEN LOOKING FOR THIS SONG FOREVER FROM AN A HAT IN TIME MOD!
Do you know which mod?
As the hour strikes 11... I begin to realize... My life will never be the same... Within a single month... Everything has fallen apart... Soon there will no longer be hope...

that'll help
hello overwatch soldier
I just realized what you did in the description! Really clever :D
It’s a downtrodden song, sure, but it has just the amount of comforting ambiance to push you forward. It sounds dire, and the name of the song implies that the end is nigh, but *something* is keeping you going when even the world itself has stopped being able to function. Most instruments have an echoing to them, like the piano and the synth(?) at the beginning, exhibiting a feeling of loneliness, but there’s parts where the guitar shines through, creating a feeling of comfort, like someone in the midst of a storm, assuring you that it will all be okay.
this soundtrack is awesome
"Here we are...at the Eleventh Hour"
This is literally my alarm and I love
Those dislikes are just the squares man, bad news...
"The end is nigh, niko."
"What's gonna happen?"
"The world is ending"
"Really?"
"Yea"
"I want to be there when the world ends"
"I won't let you"
"Why?"
" *Because I won't let it end* "
For you niko
Слишком прекрасно...
i shouldnt be watching this
im not even past the glen yet in solstice
@@kawaiinekopink764 .. thats not ni- ...
@@kawaiinekopink764 nah its way funnier xD saying you're niko obviously and tooootally not magpie 😂
Dude this song is how I found the game in the first place 😂😂
@@mousescribner8641 the remix made by Kamex made me get the game
Edit: Huge spoiler warning.
I don’t think I can convey how much stress there was in the room was when this was playing. I thought the plane guy (Cedric?) and Prototype were dead. I had literally no idea how to help. It was terrifying, lol.
But everything worked out.
I think this game’s kinda symbolic in that way. Like, no matter how shitty things get, there’ll always be some way to fix it.
flying machine.
@@cube_20 Right, the flying machine guy. My bad, sorry.
When I was on that part I predicted that they were just gonna appear out of nowhere
If we were like a minute too late the world would've probably ended
WHO DARES DISLIKE THIS!
Man I want to play one shot again, because I miss it so much, but it just wouldn't be the same... I finished it some days ago and it felt like it was so short, I loved the game, that's why I want to play more, to see Niko again, but I can't...
hope you guys are having a nice day.
Oneshot was one absolutely outstanding game. Admittedly, it would have taken the entire internet by storm if undertale didn't decide to steal the spotlight...
Honestly I'm kinda glad undertale took the spotlight instead of oneshot, I mean look how bad the fandom is- oneshot doesn't deserve that
@@user-zx9jy4hs8b If anything, that's just a problem with people's toxicity. After all, everyone isn't exactly immune to hate, scorn, or any other sorts of bitter emotion, and not to mention how... mentally ill some people can be. Yes, I recognize what you are trying to say, but OneShot is criminally unpopular.
@@tread0265 Yeah, that's true, and I completely agree about the last part!! I didn't even know it existed until I saw a video vaguely mentioning it and honestly?? That's really sad because it's the best game I've ever seen and definitely needs more attention
In fact OneShot came out after Undertale, although if OneShot had come out before it would agree with what you say
@@user-zx9jy4hs8b
I agree with you :)
So good, amazing soundtrack
easily my favorite song in the game
I beat this game seven times and NO ONE can stop me
I don't know why I wanna say I want a OneShot and Undertale cross over they almost have similar references to talking about resets and alternate timelines and endings.
There is one on itchio, but idk if anyone's working on it anymore
Now i can vibe to this :D
Eleven hours of Eleventh hours would be nice
spoler alert (characters and sequences, its not much tho)
at first listening to this ost i felt like im traveling in a mysterious dead city yet with so many things going on such as abandoned machines that still work and street animals living and growing in broken buildings. and then you have a task, example collecting research pieces left in an abandoned lab after a disaster.
now after watching the gameplay (i found oneshot by it's ost before the game and no i cant buy the game im broke)
it makes me feel more like the scene where everyone is panicking because the world is ending and you're rushing to save the world. the name makes sense now, 'eleventh hour'.
also cool game i watched the gameplay like only the scenes and some puzzles, also i kinda skipped the beginning (the part where you meet the robot lady) but i guess i kinda understand the story and its unique :p
That one dislike is The World Machine
Then who the heckin’ heck didn’t tame the World Machine?!
@@quest7314markiplier
This is my study music now.
This somehow reminds me of TLoZ: MM for some reason, maybe it's the name
literal chills
Please leave me be
We are running out of time
The Plight had the worse death than anyone on this game.
I would rather repeat the gamr through watching walkthrough, and leave the game untouched ever again, that way they both could leave happily with no interruption...
same
i mean, you could backup your save data and store it someplace safe, say you’re playing on another “timeline”.
@@thorgidogofthunder but that Niko would be stuck in the game forever, without their mother :(
My discrete math midterm is tomorrow. It's the hardest class in my major so I feel like if I pass it, I'll prove I can make it in CS. I don't want to face it, but this music compels me to.
Edit: I got an A in the class
Using this as my alarm sound
Oneshot has a soundtrack so good that I switched to Spotify
this definitely fits a "world ending" vibe
I really wanna restart this game to play all this again, but i just can't.
it's hard for me to explain how i feel about that
dude i played this game these days and goddam, this is now my favorite game ever, i cant explain how but its sad to think that my favorite game wont have a sequel or updates or anything like that, and in the future prob it will be forgotten
@@pyoxc6806 yeah, i know that feeling.
but at least in certain way. i can feel happy for niko. because he got his happy ending, if we had a sequel or something that means he would have troubles again.. so it's better to stay that way
@@MrFireWolf The world machine said that both niko and the player need to remember this adventure, that's the only way to not let oneshot die.
I finished this game yesterday and tbh i'm still sad that i won't see Niko ever again, i never felt the same way with any other character
Do you guys still remember this game?
this game is better than undertale...
I know this game didn't receive the recognition it deserved, but at the same time I'm kinda glad it didn't. I would hate to see what happened to undertale happen to this game.
YEAAHHHHHHHH 🐏
I can't be agree with that, b'cause, both are not in the same genre/categories, I like both, I cannot between these two which one is the best, because these games are just the best of their Genre...
Murderer Draw, play Mother 3. It'll take the place of Undertale in the JRPG genre quick for you.
Please don't start a war, both games are great.
