Welcome the Create Mod SMP - Ep3 with Bdubs, Tango, Keralis, and Zedaph! We start this episode of Create mod let's play by looking at the Create mod trains in our city build. I build the interior design for the moving house garage and a secret workshop. The secret base workshop is full of Create mod machines and a secret elevator and door to get to the top of my Create base.

Idea for the town;
Build a chocolate production building, but the building is on top of a rock, but the rock is on top of a gigantic mess of copper piping which is pumping chocolate around!
(I got the idea from the album cover of the 'Neotheater' Album by AJR. Check it out to see what I mean)

Thanks for using my design Scar! It’s awesome to see something I helped with in one of these series! The one thing on the doors missed is that the setting on the mechanical bearing was incorrect. If you hover over the bearing with a wrench and scroll you can change the setting to only become solid when near its initial angle. This will prevent the buttons and beam bits from popping off the door

If you want the buttons to stop popping off when you open the doors, you can look at the mechanical bearing while holding a wrench and scroll to select "only revert to blocks near original position". Then, it won't try and put the buttons inside of other blocks.

The Hermitcraft community is super kind and loving with the exception of a few small kids who will snitch to other hermits on secret plans (which is to be expected, sadly). I really love the whole Hermitcraft community. Every time a creator needs time off, the whole community shouts their support and encourages them to upload LESS despite how much we'll miss them! Hermitcraft would not be the same without such a positive force behind it.

Invisible disabilities are the worst because you're often too tired to advocate for yourself when nobody understands what you're going through. As someone who has also been helped by Scar's videos like this, stay strong!

He really is such an inspiration, to visibly disables, invisibly disabled, and even non disabled people (I'm with you on the invisibly disabled and I never felt comfortable saying I was actually disabled because it wasn't visible, so I thank you creatly for the proper wording I can use!)
A powered latch could solve your issue of it going up when you let go of the button. You'll just have to press the button again to toggle it off
Yep, iirc it says something about pulse to toggle in the description. I think there's something for toggle to pulse as well.
You’re looking for bulk smelting using an encased fan. Tango and Zed both have nice setups you can check out for inspiration. And for the elevator you might be able to get it to wait if you attach the redstone link to a sequenced gearshift instead of a regular gearshift next to the rope pulley.

Scar it's difficult to put into words just how inspiring you are, I have lived a very good life compared to many others but I think it's important to remember that everyone, all of us here, have stuff that we struggle with, and to see someone like you persevere through so much and do so out of the kindness of your heart and your drive to spread joy to others, is something that I think about often when I struggle to be selfless and kind. All I can really say is thank you.

Pro tip on the doors: if you don't rotate them fully to 90 degrees, they won't have the buttons and such pop off! That only happens when rotating elements turn enough to be aligned with the block grid again. I hope your vocal cords recover well!

10:00 “They’re just hiding in their natural habits, the furnaces.” Pair that with their arrows and you get Hot Guy.
What I did for my elevator was use a Gearshift, which reverses direction when it gets a redstone signal. So, when I press down on the controller it reverses the pulley and drops the elevator. It'll stay down until I press Up on the controller to send it back up. Also, but button came off the door probably because you missed glueing them. Anyway, hope your throat feels better.

For the doors you could alternate bocks on either side to make a "zipper". Or use a mechanical piston to pull down a center column (with a rail on top).
For your elevator, use a Powered Toggle Latch.
Scar! You should 100% make a big thunder mountain-esque rollercoaster with railroads. I feel like I remember you saying it was your favorite ride at Disneyland so you should so make a railroad coaster in create! Maybe team up with keralis who’s the train guy

Hi Scar i have a tip for the elevator-controll you can use a Powered Toggle Latch its a component you can craft from the create mod it works as a toggle and toggles on or off on a Redstone impulse so it makes the button of the remote function as a lever !

Hearing Scar so casually talk about all the medical equipment that's hurt his throat and his medical disability is heartbreaking, I'm glad he's doing better though.
For furnaces, look up the encased fan. It has all you need. (Check zedaph's under-cube)
For the elevator, you could set like a 10-15s timer before it turns off. That way you have time to jump on, then it goes up automatically
Scar, your creativity is, as always, so inspiring ! I am struggling with some health issues of my own and your videos and positive attitude are helping getting through all that. But, please, don't feel obligated to produce videos at a steady pace. Take all the time you need to rest. And I say that knowing that truly resting, both mind and body, can be a really difficult thing to achieve.

Hey Scar! I love watching your videos! I'm a singer and have sang a lot of Opera over the years and wanted to give you a vocal tip if you want it! An exercise we do to revitalize our vocal FOLDS (the correct term to call your vocal chords) is to do lip trills. You just relax your lips and hum and allow your lips to vibrate as you hum. Kinda like blowing a raspberry. This helps to relax your muscles in the face and throat and helps to strengthen your voice! Keep up the good work and I hope you feel better!

Termites that auto strip logs is actually a fantastic way to introduce that to Minecraft, I fully support
17:08 use a create toggle lever! Each redstone pulse toggles the output on and off.
Build a Sawmill that provides you with all variations of wood. Along with a underground tree farm to generate different wood types.

Hi Scar! If you want your secret elevator to stay down, you can do a vanilla red stone trick of having 2 positions push a redstone block. The remote/iPad would activate the piston to make the elevator go down. You would have to bind another button to tell the other piston to activate to bring you back up though.

Suggestion. I'd use a Redstone link on controlling the house movement (so many ways, but Id go with making your house house a station) and then changing the doors to be triggered by where the house is on the track and the direction it is moving. Love that you are learning Create, its brought a lot to MC in a fun and balanced manner.

17:01 hook up a t-flip-flop to the reciever for the elevator and attach that to the elevator and it should work

Your create videos are probably my favorite because i can relate to the struggle.
To fix the elevator, use your wireless reciever to power a toggle latch to power your gearshift. When the toggle latch gets a pulse it switches to giving a constant on signal, and when it gets another pulse it switches back to giving a constant off signal. This way you would tap W on your controller, it would come down, and you would tap W again once on it to go up.
Scar, instead of using vanilla furnaces, learn about Create's "Bulk Blasting."
Bring up the "Encased fan" in JEI, and hold down "w" to see an amazing animation of blowing hot air through lava to smelt/cook items.
