@@abdurrahmanhatim3522 why tho 😅 the re-recordings are pretty much the same thing as the original, that’s the whole point of it, it’s about her legal rights to own the masters
Jack Antonoff is like the nerdy kid that all the hot girls in class go to for homework questions, but the hot girls are the biggest pop artists in the music industry at the moment.
I know I'm too serious but the artists he produces for aren't just hot girls, they're songwriters and musicians with actual agency when it comes to making the music
When she released an artists statement about how this album was about those nights sitting on the edge of a bed and contemplating life I expected so much more. As soon as I heard the first song it was just like…. Oh. Never mind. It’s just Lorde meets Taylor I guess.
True. I love midnights and I think it's her best pop records. While I don't have a problem for the lyrics or productions nor expect another folklore-y album, the theme for most of the songs are not deep or dark enough to be called "a sleepless night" album. It's basically lover met 1989/rep productions. I am happy she is in a great relationship with her bf but I just feel like she should go into writing stories outside her personal life. Folkmore completely freed her for writing only about her personal life, why not go deep dive into that world. Would have been so interesting to hear TBH.
As a longtime Taylor fan, I was missing a lot of the melodic songwriting on this album that I think was so central not just in folklore and evermore, but in Red, Speak Now, and even Lover at some points. There were also a lot of songs in the same key right in the middle, making it, in my opinion, too sonically cohesive. I’m really hoping for more experimentation from her in the future- it is hard to live up to the expectation set for someone like her, especially with her consistent output, but I did really love a lot of the 3 am tracks- Glitch, Would’ve Could’ve Should’ve, and Dear Reader were all amazing in my opinion!!
@@GreenGretel exactly, it a shame I would love to hear her going indie rock, but she won't, this work of mediocrity has already been awarded. And I am blown away also by the praise that unoriginal long video clip of her is getting....
Keeping in mind that St Vincent coproduced and always plays a big part in how her albums sound though. He can do well when the artist not only is involved but really has a vision, I don't think Taylor had a vision for this album other than chill and he just took that to mean minimal with the worst synth and drum samples he could find.
Yeah he does provide some valid criticism although I'm not a big fan of the track Snow on the beach, lana's vocals weren't used as much as they could've
I'm a huge Taylor Swift fan, and I completely agree with this review. I think she was just having fun with this album, and she can because her fanbase will buy it. Would have loved to hear Fantano's reaction to Could've Would've Should've, which is slowly creeping up into my all-time Taylor favorites.
"Would Have, Could Have, and Should Have" is the best of the 21 Midnights songs (along with "The Great War", "Bigger Than The Whole Sky" and a few others), but wouldn't have fit on the standard edition in terms of production and overall mood/atmosphere.
I think Taylor knew that the 3am tracks are what made the album, sort of like she wanted to disappoint us at midnight and then reassure us with the remaining tracks
Absolutely!! You're on your own kid is on the same level, the rest are just pop and glitter pen songs that as a swiftie I can listen to them but they are mid at best.
The best songs on Midnights were the bonus tracks. Wouldve Couldve Shouldve absolutely Would Have, Could Have, and Should Have made it onto the full album, it is the first song in a while to make me feel an actual emotion and it sucks to see it relegated to the 3am release.
Totally agree, the album needed a “Cruel Summer”, “Black Space” or “Getaway Car” high point and I think “Would’ve, Could’ve, Should’ve” could’ve filled that gap
I’d agree but Taylor’s deluxe editions aren’t like others where they’re just extra songs that didn’t sound good enough Taylor’s deluxe tracks are meant to add to the story and she clearly sees them as important as the original album tracks. which is why 1989 and red deluxe tracks were so good or even folklore and Evernote’s deluxe. I think she just struggles to know where to place them in the album/uses them so people can buy the deluxe
It is mostly good but i found Vigilante shit and lavender haze kind of...idk not-so-TaylorSwift type. Vigilante shit was pretty off too. All others were beautiful. Or maybe those two songs are just not my type lol
Unfortunately have to agree, I haven't heard all of Taylor's albums all the way through but I loved loved loved folklore and evermore so much. The songwriting, production and even Taylor's vocal performances I found quite moving at times, and I particularly appreciated the vocal growth and diversity she displayed on those albums. However, I know that's not the sound she's gonna stick with, but I've always liked her songwriter focused tracks more than I like her pop music even though I do love pop music in general lol
IMO i think Midnights is a much better TS pop album than Reputation and Lover. It has more cohesion and has better songwriting than Reputation and Lover which are by no means albums i dislike, I just prefer Midnights over those. I got some folklore/evermore songwriting vibes on some of the tracks such as Anti-Hero, You’re On Your Own Kid, Snow On The Beach, and Labyrinth. As of now, I think her best album is Evermore.
I couldn’t agree more I love pop and there are quite a few songs on this album I love yet i still prefer the songwriter side of taylor’s discography way more
@GiRayne Well after listening to Evermore for the first time when it came out, it felt like Taylor went back to her early country roots but with a more mature quality. I loved the folk production and songwriting so much, and IMO I think it shows Taylor’s versatility within her music. I keep going back to that album loving it more and more.
*I wasn’t a fan personally - lyricism on track 4 was questionable to say the LEAST* … the line, “Tell your friends to pull up with sticks - if they got the stones - and we’ll see if names are the only thing that you hurts you soft n***as” is a line I never thought I’d hear Taylor sing.
sista - like I said “Track 4” it’s right at the beginning of the song after the intro of Taylor saying, “Ooooh I’m gonna have to get a little Shiesty on this one.. get a little disrespectful on this one **Sips lean cup** , Feds moving in blacked out whips making observations, They got a pic of me on a whiteboard labelled “Head of operation” Like I said - the lyrics are questionable.
@@officeaccount6319 😂🤣. What a child. I should feel bad just because you think my opinion is bad? Are you 5 years old? Opinions aren't right or wrong, that's why they are called opinions. And yes, music is subjective. ARTV and other critics gave this album 4/5 and 7/10 (Pitchfork). Only Anthony gave her so low rate. So obviously I think music is subjective. Most critics liked it a lot Anthony didn't.
The Recording Academy's Grammy are BOGUS for making this album of the year. Yes, I get that Taylor Swift was HUGE and important on a record scale in 2023, but not only was this album mid, it somehow won over SZA and Lana. WTF...
karma is camp and one of the best songs on the standard album and I will stand by it! I think it's supposed to be less of a direct this equates to that type of thing and more of an "all of these good things in my life are good karma and I'm unbothered while people who wronged me are getting their comeuppance" like ofc its not supposed to mean karma is literally manifested in her boyfriend, it's more like she's thankful to have found him in a bad time and sees it as sort of a reward. goofy lyrics but I find them cute and the song bops
Best album I’ve ever heard. Top to bottom with the drums, 808’s, hi-hats etc. the melodies are insanely catchy and every song on this album was a 10/10. I’m definitely getting this album cover tattooed on my stomach and instead of paying my mortgage for the next 20 years I’m gonna buy tickets to every single show on tour. All in all given how high the quality in this album is I’m gonna give it a mid to light 4
He definitely had a signature sound back in the Fun. days but he’s done so many different things since then, I don’t really have a sense of what his signature sound is now
Every song on this album sounds the same to me. I understand sonic consistency but my god, every single track just blends into the other to create this amorphous blob of dreamy, synthy 80s light pop. Watching all these people on TikTok analyze and dissect every line of every song as if it’s this masterwork magnum opus that blows their minds is so cringey. Swifties really need to broaden their horizons when it comes to music.
Taylor's lyricism is what set her apart from other popular artists for me. I love folklore and evermore for that reason, and I was hoping some of that writing would be brought into midnights (just with more of a pop sound). Kind of disappointing to instead have predictable and uninteresting lyrics with (sometimes) bland instrumentation. Granted there are exceptions, and I really liked a few tracks. It's not a bad album, but it's definitely not her best work.
Me too. The tracks that I love are only 3. Anti-Hero, The Great War and You're On Your Own, Kid. The other songs, meh. I'm a Swiftie since the Fearless era, loved 1989, reputation and Lover. Overall, Midnights was underwhelming.
Just coming here to say that I screenshot your comment and sent it to my friend because this is EXACTLY how I feel about the album. Very very very very ho hum. If anyone else had released it, it would be nothing special.
I never recognized it as Taylor’s best, but it’s an album that grew on me the more I listened to it. I genuinely enjoy these songs, even if they are lacking what makes Taylor Swift great
I liked the Sexy Baby part! Lol it made me laugh and I connected with it right away because I find it a very real-life way of describing what the beauty trends are looking like now. It was even an a-ha moment because that's the quickest, dirtiest, realest way of describing the filters with big eyes, tiny noses, round faces, rosy cheeks, and mega lashes. Sexy babies.
Honestly this album grows on me with each listen there are songs that are very catchy and some songs I found very cathartic while more mild on the melodic end. This album has me listening to Taylor's entire discography as I tend to go through phases listening to different artists. These songs are great sprinkled in a mix of other Swift songs, if you like listening to artists like that.
Forgettable is a good description of this album. I can’t imagine 1989-era Taylor, who had been releasing banger after banner, ever letting any of these songs see the light of day
I'm surprised it got such decent reception over in the US. In Norway the best I've seen it get is 3/10. People are slating it lol. Maybe it's because we just have better synthpop locally here, but we did not receive this well at all.
I live in Asia and i am so sad that all my friends listen to is American pop instead of some European artists who can be so much better. Charli XCX new album though not as good as her previous ones is tons better than this mediocrity. Crash is such a bop and does not have that annoying thing where the pop artist takes themselves too seriously
Well the country that gave a-ha, it's no surprise. I'm it's too cold to sit on a porch and strum guitar most of the time. So indoor with electronics it is.
Taylor seems to have reached the point that Drake has now, where no matter the quality of her releases good or bad, she'll always see ridiculous success and numbers for any new release.
i mean, to be fair, i think most people would agree that midnights is way better than drake's recent stuff even if you're not crazy about the album. drake even flopped very badly with honestly nevermind.
I’d say they’re pretty comparable artists tbh. Both are very successful, top of their genre, and have pretty respectable discographies. However, they reached such a point of success that a lot of their releases don’t hold the same emotion or impact as earlier projects, yet will still be some of the biggest drops of the year regardless.
As a swiftie, honestly a respectable opinion. I saw people saying it’s the child of 1989 and reputation, and they weren’t wrong😂 as a swiftie, there’s moments that I probably appreciate more than a casual listener, but it’s not her worst though not her best:)
Taylor Swift might have the highest lack of talent to success ratio in the history of pop music. With that being said, the cover art on this album is absolutely stunning. I also love the electric keys on songs like Sweet nothing, reminiscent of Donny Hathaway or the Eels. Their sound is like wearing a wool sweater next to a fireplace.
I'm glad you liked Labyrinth, Snow on the Beach and Sweet Nothing because those are my favourites too. The album was disappointing on my first listen because I was hoping for more of the folk-pop, chamber-pop style of Folklore and Evermore but it's definitely growing on me. I think the poppier tracks are just fun pop songs - great for singing along to in the car but don't put too much weight on the lyrics.
i'm such a passionate taylor fan, and I totally agree. I hate the way swifties act like disliking a taylor album is akin to murder or something. Swifties are delusional for saying this is one of her best album; its an insult to her discography. She's capable of so much more and this album is full of embarassing lyrics and generic synths.
I completely agree with you. I have only listened to this album once and I haven't felt the necesity nor the impulse to come back to it. It's forgettable for the most part except for certain catchy moments that are often overshadowed by strange synths and very weird vocal effects. She can definitely do way better.
My fiancé is a big Swiftie and so I've been slowly going through her discography for the first time. I haven't heard folklore or evermore yet, but this has honestly been my favorite album from her after the first listen. Maybe it's just more my style, but I enjoy the production on this album much more than the majority of the other albums I've heard, (namely Reputation and Lover). I'd say its a solid project
@@thenegotiator1630 no, it's inmersive af, the sound are so unique In her discography, and a lot of the lyrics are inspiring, you're just hating for nothing

I listened to it in a Spotify group session with my friend while we played video games. It made great background music, although I don't think I remember any of the songs specifically.
i really appreciated anthony's take on his review (and i am a die-hard swiftie); i think a lot of swifites can be really aggressive and obsessive with their opinions and vehemently disagree on other's opinions that don't match our own. i think this album is really meant for people who unapologetically love taylor swift, and i wonder if that's who she made the album for. sure, there are a LOT of anthonys takes i agree with (ie vigilante shit - imo its giving billie eilish vibes and may not fit cohesively with the rest of the album, etc) but there's nothing wrong with that whatsoever. i love that anthony took the time to listen to it and gave us his opinion cause that's why were all here!
I can't believe how brainwashed are the swifties pretending this is a good album. And the numbers this is making... No words. Literally worst Taylor's proyect ever. She didn't even try.
When I first heard the album I didn't know where to put it. There were songs that stood out, but for the most part I didn't love most of the songs until multiple listens and seeing Taylor herself, and other people explain the lyrics, then the whole album just made more sense and it made the album better.
@@popoff7808 Her songs are mostly high level English lol with shakespear like language so yeah they do need explanations sometimes. Personally I only needed explanation for the song August in folklore album. Midnight's was pretty easy to understand. The language was pretty easy in this one's lyrics
@@popoff7808 Far from it. Context can make a song or album better. If you want music you can get on the first listen then Taylor isn't that kind of artist for you
Is it just me or does Tony seem a bit worn out from uploading? Reviews have been much shorter than in the past even for big name artists like Taylor Swift. I’m not really against it I just don’t want melon to be tired of uploading but doing it anyways for our enjoyment. We may poke fun at the man but I very much care for his mental state and I don’t want him to do anything he doesn’t want to.
The only hopes I have are that either this album is a filler leading up to a greater one or that Taylor Swift will now release an album for each segment of the day, ultimately ending at "Suppertime", which will be a compilation of sounds of her eating various soups.
Is it me or does Taylor's songwriting suffer from a kind of narrative problem where the songs all tell a literal story and she's hamstrung by her insistence on telling a story from start to finish? does that make sense?
I don't think that's the problem. She is actually at her best when she is telling a story. When she tries to make a pop song (focused more in the chorus rather than storytelling), that's where she fails.
Maybe it her co-writer. I think her best songs are the one's she writes entirely herself. The read the most cohesive as if though person wrote it (which duh). Many time in her lyrics I hear two different voices. Also I wish she'd work with a female producer and songwriters.
Pretty much how I felt lol. Was listening to it on the way home from work on release night. I liked some aspects of each song but nothing truly grabbed me. Crazy how she sold 1.4 million first week though, insane in this era of music.
She has a devoted fanbase and that's not nothing. No other star I can thing of with as devoted a fanbase. Also a lot of her album come with perks so there is more incentive for the compleist. This woman is a master business lady.
The bonus tracks are all superior to the original album. High infidelity/ Would’ve, Could’ve, Should’ve/ Bigger than the whole sky- are all bonuses and also the best on the whole record
Since she revealed the name for Vigilante Shit i knew we were gonna reach new heights of cringe, and she delivered right off the bat with that first line
personally i think this album is some of taylor's best work because it's her first time she's really tried to create a conceptually tight tracklist while also leaving behind obvious cash grab singles. but it's also her least polished album, and i think it's because taylor and jack no longer know how to critique each other. they're really close friends and tend to just automatically accept each others' work as it is. there's lots of places on the album where taylor should've had a higher production standard, and others where jack should've known to refine taylor's lyrics. (i will defend the sexy baby line until the day i die though!) personally i think taylor and jack are such a great duo that the album still works for me, but it does sound a little unfinished. if they'd just spent a little more time refining everything, midnights would be truly incredible.
@@f4gsforpele okay let me explain lol. first of all, you might be aware that it's a reference to a scene from 30 Rock, so by a "sexy baby" she's talking about the societal stereotype of what women should be like, both in terms of appearance & charisma, etc. also it's really important that you pair the lyric with the next line, "and I'm the monster on the hill." basically the whole lyric is about taylor feeling like the ugliest, least charming, & least human person in the room. it's immensely relatable for me and that's probably the main reason i love it so much. but also, when you take into consideration that full meaning, i haven't seen any objective reason why the lyric is *bad*. some people think it just sounds bad, which is a valid opinion, but also completely subjective.
@@f4gsforpele it’s a commentary on our pedo culture. Women are all taught to act like sexy little babies. Women are told by Society to be hairless to look young for men. Like we’re constantly made to feel like we’re competing with young girls.
Midnights isn't her best work for sure but essentially saying that Maroon and You're on Your Own Kid are crap is mindblowing to me. These are two of the most favourite tracks of the album from within the Swiftie "community" lol. I also disagree that Reputation is a bad album. It's actually my favourite Taylor album only underneath 1989. But everyone has different tastes I get it. I should say that Midnights is a grower. There were a lot of songs I wasn't that fond of first listen but after listening to them over and over I love them now. I really love Midnight Rain, Question, Mastermind and even Vigilante Shit now whilst I didn't when the album first released.
Midnights' teaser “We lie awake in love and in fear, in turmoil and in tears. We stare at walls and drink until they speak back. We twist in our self-made cages and pray that we aren’t - right this minute - about to make some fateful *LIFE-ALTERING MISTAKES!* ...The floors we pace, and *THE DEMONS WE FACE.* 💀 ...ngl, i'm kind of cringing now reading that foreword knowing that the album really isn't that dark, or really explored the depth that she's written on that paragraph. Only applies to the standard tracks 'cause that's what she wrote - 13 SLEEPLESS NIGHTS.
I don't like to comment this but I honestly don't think you've listened to it enough. You heard it for the first time on stream less than 48 hours ago. It's a slow-burn pop record with much sub-text to be examined, it's not the album that's underwritten but rather this review.
I feel like Taylor Swift needs to grow up a little bit. Her music and lyrics sounds kind of childish. I mean, when Madonna was making music, she switched it up and was very versatile. Taylor Swift just seems like she likes what works for her right now because she knows that her fans would buy anything that she puts out
My inner Swiftie is screaming “She had to call karma a cat so she could say it was flexing! It’s a play on words!” But really there is no valid defense
Same here. I loved her last two albums but this one is objectively subpar in production, lyrics, cohesiveness, and vocal performances, so it's headscratching to hear so many people say they absolutely love it. It's an interesting polarization anyway.
Yep definitely expected a mid score. It's more of a personal Taylor album than an album that would be more relevant to the fans, if that makes sense. Props to her for showing vulnerability, but reasonable for it to have gotten mixed sentiments because it's less "story songwriting" but more raw "emotional messy midnights vibes". I liked it for its honesty.
I can get behind the emotional messy midnight's vibes you pointed out. Thanks for that. It puts a new perspective on the album. Yet I've got to say she HAS explored all these subjects numerous times already, like @supernova mentioned. The only tracks which have new concepts are Anti Hero, You're on your own Kid, Mastermind. The 3 am tracks are better.
Damn, Melon, dude 😅 - u gave Lover a light 6! And that album had ME! & some more boring lyrics than in this album. “Hosted parties & starved my body like I’d be saved by a perfect kiss…Looked around in a blood-soaked gown”, etc. & lot more vulnerability in this album. Agree with some points, I really like her country/folk work, but I do think this album may be her best pop album or at least tied with 1989. At least a light 6, maybe light 7. But a 4-5??
As someone who is definitely NOT a Taylor Swift fan, I find this record quite enjoyable and right up my alley sonically, with probably the best songs I've ever heard from her. Way more mature songwriting, it definitely beats drivel like "We're never ever gonna get back together" etc.
To be fair, as a taylor fan who thinks the lyrics on Midnights are meh asf, her lyrics have been incredible and quite mature for her age (she started when she was 14!) since her first record. But people only remember her singles. Like you mentioned "we are never getting...". You should try other songs from her early discography :) I think you might be surprised by her lyricism
probably cause ur not a fan she has better works than the known singles she’s released over the years like afterglow, clean, daylight, and you are in love
I gave it a listen last night at around 3am to enhance the experience but even then I still only got like 1 or 2 songs playlisted from the whole album. Truly a mid midnight
None of the songs on the standard edition are even worth listening to. Would’ve Could’ve Should’ve is the only banger associated with the entire album.
I'm a through-and-through swiftie, i also had these problems but I still listen. The better parts are the 7 songs in 3am version. Bigger than the whole sky has what makes up a sad song.
Disappointed you didn’t cover any of the 3am tracks. Would’ve, Could’ve, Should’ve was a huge highlight for me (and I was stoked so see more from Aaron Dessner since he was absent from the main record)
this album kind of felt like an album of cut songs to me. a lot of her lyrics keep a very similar theme; a song about karma, a song about kissing in a crowded room, a song about taking revenge on a lover like no body no crime, and bejeweled kind of sounds like it belongs on lover to me? i enjoyed listening to the album but it just didn't feel like anything new that would stick in my head. and while I don't think sexy and baby should ever be in the same sentence I do get her intention with that line and I don't think its too awkward or weird. teenagers are getting exposed to beautiful people to compare themselves to earlier than ever & there's a common thought that the type of woman men want is an infantilized one. no body hair, short, listens to them, sweet/soft spoken, soft features etc. so a lot of times that's what it feels like you need to comply with
Bejeweled should have been on Lover. Karma and Vigilante shit were kind of redundant after Reputation. Question? Sounded like Fearless vault tracks. The album was hyped too much and that's why I'm so disappointed. Maroon is okay but we've better Maroon like tracks already. Snow on the beach is a folkmore- ish track. Mastermind has great writing though.

Agreed. I guess you and I prefer Aaron Desner cuts over Jack Antenoff ones
Agree 💯
Oh I got a first class ticket for this bus. She has reached the end of the road for her time with jack.
Agree
That's a clusterfuck of a second sentence but I agree.

However, I know that's not the sound she's gonna stick with, but I've always liked her songwriter focused tracks more than I like her pop music even though I do love pop music in general lol
ok warren

Ooo I definitely feel like the 3am tracks make this album a better experience. Would've could've should've on its own is a fantastic song.

Carly Rae Jepsen, Ed Sheeran, Justin Bieber and probably some others I'm forgetting certainly have a larger ratio

I'm glad you liked Labyrinth, Snow on the Beach and Sweet Nothing because those are my favourites too. The album was disappointing on my first listen because I was hoping for more of the folk-pop, chamber-pop style of Folklore and Evermore but it's definitely growing on me. Wtf 😂😅
The production is exhausting. Makes me feel like I’m under a stack of blankets and everything is muffled
Is it me or does Taylor's songwriting suffer from a kind of narrative problem where the songs all tell a literal story and she's hamstrung by her insistence on telling a story from start to finish? does that make sense?
It suffers at times when it's about herself. She makes better songs when she's truly emotionally invested or it's about fictional characters.
Crazy how she sold 1.4 million first week though, insane in this era of music.

personally i think this album is some of taylor's best work because it's her first time she's really tried to create a conceptually tight tracklist while also leaving behind obvious cash grab singles. but it's also her least polished album, and i think it's because taylor and jack no longer know how to critique each other. they're really close friends and tend to just automatically accept each others' work as it is. there's lots of places on the album where taylor should've had a higher production standard, and others where jack should've known to refine taylor's lyrics. (i will defend the sexy baby line until the day i die though!) personally i think taylor and jack are such a great duo that the album still works for me, but it does sound a little unfinished. if they'd just spent a little more time refining everything, midnights would be truly incredible.
How can you defend the sexy baby line-
@@f4gsforpele how do you not get it? 😂
@@molls91 ??? What is there to get. It’s just awful and gives p3do
@@f4gsforpele okay let me explain lol. first of all, you might be aware that it's a reference to a scene from 30 Rock, so by a "sexy baby" she's talking about the societal stereotype of what women should be like, both in terms of appearance & charisma, etc. also it's really important that you pair the lyric with the next line, "and I'm the monster on the hill." basically the whole lyric is about taylor feeling like the ugliest, least charming, & least human person in the room. it's immensely relatable for me and that's probably the main reason i love it so much.
but also, when you take into consideration that full meaning, i haven't seen any objective reason why the lyric is *bad*. some people think it just sounds bad, which is a valid opinion, but also completely subjective.
@@f4gsforpele it’s a commentary on our pedo culture. Women are all taught to act like sexy little babies. Women are told by Society to be hairless to look young for men. Like we’re constantly made to feel like we’re competing with young girls.

I don't dress for women
I don't dress for men
I only dress for they/them
As someone who is definitely NOT a Taylor Swift fan, I find this record quite enjoyable and right up my alley sonically, with probably the best songs I've ever heard from her.
You should try other songs from her early discography :) I think you might be surprised by her lyricism
she has much better songwriting but you won’t really see it if you only listen to singles, definitely try and hear all too well 10mv
probably cause ur not a fan she has better works than the known singles she’s released over the years like afterglow, clean, daylight, and you are in love
Yet you will wax prophetic about some shitty mumble rap album
I gave it a listen last night at around 3am to enhance the experience but even then I still only got like 1 or 2 songs playlisted from the whole album. Truly a mid midnight
I hope you got a good sleep cause that album was boring af
@@kahn5234 💀
Like apart from the fancy words she used don't really get the hype it's boring af
Tasteless
None of the songs on the standard edition are even worth listening to. Would’ve Could’ve Should’ve is the only banger associated with the entire album.
another L for the Grammy's
glad someone said the truth about this record. sometimes fans are so blinded who do not realize that there is nothing new or interesting here
Or we just simply love and enjoy it?...
"Anti-Hero" is "Look What You Made Me Do" if she were passive aggressive and mopey.
@@TuesdaysArt how does that even make sense...
5/10 is too high
I'm a through-and-through swiftie, i also had these problems but I still listen. The better parts are the 7 songs in 3am version. Bigger than the whole sky has what makes up a sad song.
midnights wasn't self released, it was released on Republic Records btw
Mastermind has great writing though.
i feel like taylor thought more people would be familiar with the "sexy baby" thing (from 30 rock) it's definitely not serious
