Fun fact: The paper one is the reason why "blueprints" is what they are called. Because when the photocopier was still not invented that is how they used to make copies of the drawing/plans.
It’s called cyanotype and you make it by brushing a chemical on a layer of paper adding whatever items on top then leave in our in the sun it will take longer depending on the weather but when the green chemical gets a bit muddier and browner it should be ready to take the items off and put it in water until the place where the items were turns white and the rest turn blue then leave it to dry and you're done!
It appears to be a perfectly balanced metal egg doohickey but it's actually very slightly heavier on one side. So it LOOKS like it defies physics even though it's using physics for a cool trick
Me too! I had a “pet tornado” that was a small container with water and sparkles in it to create a vortex. I still have it but half the water evaporated out of it now though lol.
same, whenever i fill my water bottle with the fountain in school i swish it round in a circular motion and watch the tornado. it's soo cool, i really want the 1st one.
My grandma used to have one of those lamps and it would be my nightlight whenever I was little and we used to go to bed. It broke a couple years ago and I still miss it.
@@OdisseuBR cyanotype paper. then you follow pretty much the same instructions as the video. a sheet of glass on top prevents things from moving if that’s necessary for you.
Only thing he doesnt tell you in tue video 8s that most of this stuff is cheap that globe is fucking stupid too I got one as a gift maybe if I was impressed by chea0 bullshit maybe.
That last one is basically the modern version of the "inverting top". You know, the one where after you spin it really hard it flipps over and spins on the handle.
As always, you can find links to these and more on my website CoolScienceFinds.com. Also, let me know here in the comments which one was your favorite?
The fly top has to be my favorite!
What if I put sprite in the vortex
I LOVE BALLS. :)
(Donot take that out of context)
That photo paper would be dope as part of an art piece
Hey guy, maybe pour the water out of the vortex lamp to get the snowflakes out instead of fishing them out
Fun fact: The paper one is the reason why "blueprints" is what they are called. Because when the photocopier was still not invented that is how they used to make copies of the drawing/plans.
Oh cool!
I never knew that!! Thank you

Nah this isn’t for science lovers it’s for LITERALLY ANYONE because everyone would love to have that
Eso pensé
Fr I love these
But everyone knows Earth is flat tho, and space is an illusion@Zedster1111

“It appears to defy physics”
No mate that *is* physics
Yeah
my dumbass thought it's spin from sbr
Sembra una supposta
Hence the use of the words "appears to" 🤦
It appears to be a perfectly balanced metal egg doohickey but it's actually very slightly heavier on one side. So it LOOKS like it defies physics even though it's using physics for a cool trick
This feels like walking through a science museum gift shop.

I JUST WENT TO ONE TODAY 💀
I’m a science nerd and these look absolutely amazing
I can see lots of potential with the solar print paper.
🤨
it looks very simular to cyanotype, so if you want to go a complete diy route that's the way, it's really fun and actually pretty easy and forgiving

I’ve always liked underwater tornadoes as a kid so the first one seems like so much fun

I’ve seen those videos 😂
i mean it is the same guy
“Hey! Here’s 4 cool gifts for science lovers!”
“Hmmm… fake”
Not just me, thought 'ok that's possible'
At the end I expected "And let me know which one you thought is fake"
Bro me too
i started guessing i was like “yeah that’s fake”
That Vortex lamp is awesome! I love it.
I have the levitating globe - and after about 2 weeks it started SCREAMING in ultra high pitch frequency like an old tube tv or broken phone charger.
Im sorry, you angered the universe
You angered it
You dare anger the floating globe!
I have one too, but I can't get it to float. I dont have that tool he used. So it's just a globe sticking on a magnet.
My daughter has one. About 6mo continuous use and no demons in it yet.
For the last one, I do that with a hard boiled egg as a way of cooling it down. It works the exact same and looks really cool
I've done it too.Very interesting
lmao my dad would do that all the time too
I colored them with a marker and arranged battles) Then I feasted😂
I just dip my boiled eggs in cold water. Boring but practical
Regularly, I think you spin eggs to check if they are boiled or not :D
This is the first time I'm seeing a short pop up twice, and 5 months later, their all still super cool, I like again
Electro magnetic feilds are so cool
Also lasers... Lasers are cool too
The levitating globe seems like it'll make a great bday gift for kids or any Cosmo's lover.
They should make a "flat earth" edition, just to sell more 😂
@@Dagrizzbyou mean a "non-fictional" edition 😊 ya I'd buy that!
Its the discovery lolgo

it would! i have it and its so cool
The levitating globe😊 I've been reading about mag-lev in sci Fi since the 80's
The third one with the paper is called a cyanotype, we did some recently in my art class.
How, please?
@@OdisseuBR cyanotype paper. then you follow pretty much the same instructions as the video. a sheet of glass on top prevents things from moving if that’s necessary for you.

I remember my cousin getting that lamb because he was into tornadoes and one time we put a roach inside 😂😂😂
@@GamingLegendsGG I remember putting a rolly polly into a toy

Me thinks he is referring to "TESTICLES". But is the glass enclosure supposed to represent the "SCROTUM"?
😂
This is making me think of the meme with "PPTINY" on one of the ice creams 💀

As a science lover i loved the levitating globe and the underwater tornado and the magnet thingy
That fidget spinner was damn near an ancient artifact 💀
Looks like smth that fell out of Gwyneth Paltrow's candle maker.
Tusk rotate his balls
i thought i would get weezered when that specific sheet of blue paper came on screen
actually, making a replica of an album cover with that paper would go hard

Hecking heck, this entire comment section is so hecking wholesome!! :D
Fckin fck
hecking heck, science is heckign coolk!!!!
the vortex one I had as a kid. I was obsessed with it. this was so nostalgic
wait i accidentally starting guessing which one was trash… 😭😅
Fun fact: The solar paper is actually called cyanotype paper, and is an old analog form of photography
the levitating planet is a must for sci-fi space fans the black and silver look is a nice touch
Wow so amazing idea
Fun fact: i got the magnetic globe one for my birthday one year. Its soooo cool and it even helped me win two of my school's science fairs
I also want to 'defy physics' like that :c
For the record, I'm not a science lover, but I would LOVE a gift like that
the first gift-
so majestic :0
I love the vortex thing and the globe 😍
As a science lover, ive never felt so much happiness in my life.
I hope you are still relatively young.
If you truly were a science lover you would see all of this for the cheap shit it is.
The first one is really cool.
Fr I want it
i have that levitating globe and i love it!! its so fascinating to watch it js float right there
Solar printing also works with construction paper! I did it as a kid a lot. But you have to wait a few hours with it in the sunlight
I love the tornado one because it's so good like look at it like it's so cool I want to buy them
The last one would be a perfect fidget toy
i love art so that solar paper looks rlly cool to me
im not a science lover but i would still love these 💖
I love them all, but the vortex lamp was really neat
My favorite is the paper with the shades!!!!!! 😄😄😄😁😁😁😉😉😉.
Im Not a science lover but these look so cool I’d buy it
I absolutely love your channel. The 2 true 1 lie is definitely my favorite. My mom and I always love to try and figure it out
Thank you so much for your amazing gift ideas but first one is very attractive as well as impressive
I have the vortex thing!! I love it!
Whats it called
The 3rd one, feels more art related since what you've made was cool
OMG THE GLOBE FITS ME SO GOOD(as a scince and and geography nerd)
My favorite is the vortex one that's why I want it right now
Cows and houses silloets would look amazing in the tornado❤❤
From the movie Twister:
"Cow"
"Actually I think that was the same one"
Twister or Wizard of Oz themed vortex lamps would be neat!
i like it. It is a magnetic phenomenon, these experiments help children explore and stay away from TV phones.
The last one can be done with an easter egg as well
Shout out to the solar print paper, gotta be my favorite modern art piece
It's just a blueprint, nothing modern or new about it.
Tornado lamp was amazing that’s my Favorite one
Not me thinking you just secretly hypnotized us with cool spinning and swirling things....
The globe earth is the coolest! I WANT GLOBE EARTH MAGNET!!!!!!!
its really cool i have it!
The vortex lamp looks sick as hell
these are really cool!!

Fun fact eggs do the same thing as the last one if you spin them fast enough
So do american footballs
Only "Hard boiled" eggs will do it. If the center is still liquid, it won't spin upright. It's how I check if they are done.
I like the vortex lamp. 😉🤩
My Social studies teacher has that levitating globe.
You dont even need to love science to like these things. As a kid thinking its magic is even better.
Second One was the best in my opinion.
I tried creating a levitating globe that would appeal to flat earthers but ended up building a flying saucer.
"It also comes with tiny balls" -My friend trying to introduce me to someone new
The last thing reminded me how I used to spin the silly puddy eggs on their side and they’d make themselves go upright
Levatiating globe,
solar print paper, and
Vortex swirl thingy
I cant be the only one who thought the globe looked like the discovery ed logo
It sure does.
That last one is basically the modern version of the "inverting top". You know, the one where after you spin it really hard it flipps over and spins on the handle.
Every single one is my favorite
That last "toy" makes your girlfriend stand up straight when installed correctly.
Why gf? I'm already imagining it in mh my own bum. Looks so nice and smooth
we've had all of these toys since the 90s
First time, young Sheldon is on shorts

Some kids that wants it:
Hey, my blender does that, too! 😮

the solar paper I remember playing with it in Art class in Elementary school.
“Tiny balls” 😂😂
