I vote you name the car Raspberry!
That was exactly my first thought too
Ya know what they say about great minds.
@@jasgem76
I was going to say raspberry too lol. Another vote for raspberry
I never thought of that name
It's a 2 thumbs up from me
I agree this is a great name for the car
Happy belated birthday, Cheveo! Congrats on the new member of your crew. I vote to name her Raspberry!
Oh come on! You know she has to be named RASPBERRY ❤️
Absolutely RASPBERRY!
100%. That's exactly what I was thinking 👍
+1 for Raspberry
Reading all the comments and name choices, I think your new addition to the family needs her own identity from Blueberry so I vote for Ruby. She's a little gem.
'Ruby' would also tie in nicely with NZ's national game ('Rugby')
Yes Ruby!! Ruby Tui (rugby player) would love it lol
I agree here Ruby would be perfect .
yeah this is more creative then keeping it berry related
i agree with ruby.. first name that popped in to my head when you did the tour
Glad you are both feeling better and looking forward to seeing NZ through your eyes ❤
Call the car Cranberry Sauce! Good to see you both again. Happy birthday Cheveyo!
Enjoy this beautiful country. We arrived here a month ago, from Adelaide Australia, and we go home on Tuesday. Highlights all of it! Auckland, Paihia, Whitianga, Taupo, Waitomo caves, Wellington, Then ferry to South Island- Picton, Kaikoura (seal colonies) Queenstown (tons to see there), a magical overnight stay on Doubtful Sound, Franz Josef a long drive that day - extremely stunning I recommend a stop in between - then to Greymouth to catch the Alpine train, now in Christchurch - working out the best things to do before we leave on Tuesday. Stop at BBQ fish roadside place at Kaikoura for lunch. The Original Kaikoura Seafood BBQ. Enjoy rainforest walks and snow capped mountains ❤
have you been to the riverside market?
we loved it

Happy B'day Cheveyo!!
Happily birthday Cheveyo! I also thought Cherry for a car name, so I'll go a bit left of centre and say: Strudel.
I second Cherry 🍒
Happy Birthday Cheveyo. Thanks for video in New Zealand.
Happy birthday Cheveyo!! The new car surely has to be Strawberry
Happy Birthday Cheveyo and a very warm welcome to the two of you to New Zealand. Love the car and the colour. Cranberry or Scarlet instantly sprang to my mind when I saw her
Happy Birthday Cheveyo !!! ... hope you had the wonderful day you deserve !!! ... so happy to see you both again !!!
Happy Birthday Cheveyo! Welcome back - really hope you are feeling better. Love the new addition - I would call her raspberry. She is a great colour !!
Happy birthday Cheveyo. Wishing you lots more laughter and adventure for the start of your 33rd year. I don’t need to wish you love because with Tia you hit the jackpot. 🎉🎂 🎁
Happy happy birthday! Wishing you all the best and more awesome adventures with Tia!
Glad that both of you are feeling better now and ready to explore kiwiland
Happy Birthday, mate! Thanks for sharing your new adventures. We really appreciate going along for the ride with you both! I vote for the name raspberry. Take care and keep safe!
Great car find; good for you! Happy belated Cheveyo! Missed seeing your adventures but happy you both had some time to rejuvenate!
Happy Birthday Cheveyo! 🥳 You're back...Yay! Glad you're all better. You know that NZ has tonnes of camp grounds, usually with a communal kitchen, that are more affordable than rooms. Get yourself a blow up mattress, like you did in Oz, for the back of your car. Tia I love your jumper, great find!
Happy birthday mate! Looking forward to watching you go around NZ 🎉
yay so excited to see you guys back! Me and my mum always watch your videos together! I also cannot get over how much new zealand looks like wales in the countryside part!
They didn’t show the country side of Australia in some areas. They skimmed over quite a lot. Where I live looks a lot like this too.
You two are so cute! Glad I found your channel. I’ll be in Auckland in about 20 days from now. Cheers to you and your travels!
Happy birthday. Good to see you both back fit and healthy
Great to see you back with a new video, and happy birthday Cheveyo! Love your new car, either raspberry or cherry would be great names. Enjoy your travels in NZ, it's a stunning country.
Happy birthday mate 🍻🍻🎉🎉🎂 it’s good to see you both back up and around again stay safe and enjoy yourselves 🍻🍻
Happy belated birthday, Cheveo!
And I won't judge you for the BMW, a good used car within budget is a good used car no matter the brand as long as it's a reliable car, that's what counts 👍
If the reverse chime is something added for compliance (either NZ or Japan) then there should be a fuse for it and if the fuse just happens to "fall" out......
Since the new car is a Bavarian beauty, the most appropriate name is Himbeere (Raspberry) or Moosbeere (Cranberry)
Nice to see you both back in our Hemisphere. Look forward to your next post.
From an Australian - New Zealand is an excellent choice to visit with quite a few natural wonders and a laid back very friendly population. Happy Touring.
So happy to see another video! We missed not having your videos to watch for the last couple of weeks
Did I see Vegemite in your shopping trolley? A hang-over from Australia? LOL
Good to see you back, we have missed the two of you.
Great to see you guys have bonded with our Aussie Vegemite. 👍
& my car name vote is for either Raspberry or Cherry.
Happy birthday to Cheveyo. Hopefully you feel better now.
Travel well. Looking forward to the virtual tour😊😊
Hi guys, glad to see you are up & at it again.
OH - Happy Birthday Cheveyo - hope it was bonzer! (Loved to see the Vegemite going in the cart!!) Safe travels.
Happy Birthday Cheveyo! So glad you found Pak 'n Save 😂. New Zealand, along with most of the South Pacific, PNG, Timor Leste etc. allow imports of used cars from Japan to give their citizens access to cheaper cars. Here in Australia, cars must be built to Australian specs so it's not a thing! I get what Cheveyo was saying about copping it for choosing a Beemer. Here in Australia Japanese cars have a very good reputation and sometimes mechanics say European cars are not as good as Japanese. That view with the cows looked stunning! Another thing, in the South Island there are lots of microclimates, some parts are very dry due to rain shadows from mountain ranges, some have very warm summer days due to being in valleys or being on the east coast! For example Christchurch is on the east coast so can get very warm summer days! In winter on the other hand, going south definitely means colder!
Welcome to Auckland and Happy Birthday Cheveyo! If you are coming back through Auckland and weather is good I highly recommend Piha beach. It’s a short drive from the city (depending on the traffic!) and it is stunning. Some good waterfalls around there too and lovely sunset.
You were missed, but so glad you took some time for yourselves! I'm thinking the car should be named some sort of berry. Cranberry is what came to mind for me, but comme ci comme ça. I know you two will have fun with it! Enjoy exploring NZ and thanks for taking us along for the ride! Last but certainly not least: Cheveyo, I hope you have a great rest of your birthday month! 🎈🎂🎉🍻🎈
Happy Birthday Cheveyo!🎉
You can buy those tent attachment things that attach to the back of cars to give you extra room. Not sure if you've seen them before and it would give you both extra room 😃
My vote is for raspberry to go with the fruit theme 😜 or Whero (means red in Māori)
Oh I thought Raspberry too but Whero is a winner! Great suggestion.
Great to see you again and glad you are both feeling better! I think Ruby would suit the car! ❤
Love the vibes and nature! Happy to see you again guys!😊🎉
Happy birthday Cheveo 🎉
Great to see you both ❤
STRAWBERRY... I am putting in an extra vote... it has a nice ring to it. And it looks like it's an automatic transmission... NICE!
Happy birthday Chev. Looking forward to this series. I did a road trip around the South Island back in 2018 a day loved it ! So looking forward to seeing what you guys get up to. Red in Māori = Whero...so that's my car name suggestion. Have fun !
Happy Birthday Cheveyo! Lovely to have you guys back, in beautiful New Zealand! Wow, you bought a BMW from Japan....it should be reliable!
Happy Birthday Cheveo. Looking forward to this series. I'm heading first to Vietnam in Jan-Mar and will do the Ha Giang Loop but not like you guys. Love your videos!!! Oh I think your new car should be called "Cherry"
Missed it! Looks like you had a great Birthday Cheveyo! 🎉🎂🤙
Happy Birthday Cheveyo! Looking forward to your adventures in NZ. Very wise to pick up some warmer clothes - the first time I went to NZ was in January and I still was wearing fleeces and jackets some days. It should warm up as you head into summer though. Surely the car has to be Raspberry.
A belated Happy Birthday Cheveyo! Best wishes.
Happy Birthday Cheveyo! Glad you're both feeling better. Good luck with your road trip guys, this will be inspiration for us as we hope to do something similar next year. I also vote to name your new team member Raspberry, just to keep with the theme of berries. 😊
oo~ New Zealand. Awesome. Great place. This is going to be a fun adventure.
Happy Birthday, Cheveyo! Love your sweater, Tia! I say name the car Cranberry !! Lol.
Welcome back guys and a happy birthday to you Cheveyo. Good to see you back on the road again and looking forward to your take on NZ.
Smack talk is always good for a laugh. Strawberry was the first name that popped into my head when I saw your new car. Fingers crossed it doesn't give you any grief along the way.
Take care and travel safe
I'm really interested to see your travels, I'd like to motorhome around N.Z. Hope you had a lovely birthday.
Hi guys, great beaches in the far north - Matai Bay, Rangiputa, Matauri Bay, all epic. Also Coca Cola Lake is awesome. Enjoy!
Great seeing you both ago. A new car wow what can we name it. We had a pie from one of the service station pepper pie it was delicious. Happy birthday enjoy with your beautiful partner.
Happy Birthday Cheveyo!! Enjoy the adventure, I vote Raspberry
I love your car. Immediately, before I saw the colour I knew it was red, then straight away I knew you must call it Raspberry!! Both cars are berries. Happy Birthday Cheveyo!
The Kiwi naming convention would to to name the car "All Red". As a bonus, "All Red the Stout" sounds like a Lord of the Rings character.
Happy birthday Cheveyo! welcome back guys. BMW - Chokecherry, currant or buffaloberry, if want something different to strawberry/raspberry/cranberry.
Happy Birthday Cheveo! 🥳 it’s great to see you both again, hello from Australia 🇦🇺 I have never been to NZ so really looking forward to your road trip adventure 👍😃💜
Thank you! 😊 And hello to Australia 🇦🇺
You will love NZ especially the South Island . At every corner there is something picturesque you can see . Everybody loves it because it is so mountainous . Enjoy !
When you're in Australia and NZ, you have to say jumper 🦘🤭 Happy birthday !
Haere mai (welcome) Team to Aotearoa. Hope you have an awesome visit and look forward to seeing / sharing your experiences good / bad. 🙂
Welcome to NZ. It's actually a bit warmer at the moment for this time of the year. Must do when up north is the sand hill near cape Rieanga and Waipu forest see Tani Mahuta NZs largest Kauri tree. Tale care.
We just left NZ and loved it sooo much! We didn't get to spend much time in Auckland but hopefully you make it to Quenstown! It is one of my favorite cities in the world!
Auckland is a really cool little city. As someone who comes from Sydney, I saw a quote in the Sky Tower that resonated; "Auckland. Sydney for beginners".
I was there in September for first time and thankfully appeared to be warming up. I arrived after a busy two months in the US, New Zealand was immediately calming. The people are so charming and the countryside is very relaxing. Nothing needs to be fast in NZ.
Now that I am back in Japan again, another comparison I always draw to NZ is Japan. New Zealand is Japan with significantly less people. In fact, a lot of Japanese companies will film commercials in New Zealand in lieu of Japan, simply because the countryside can easily pass for Japan. Their driving manners are often similar too.
He in our neighbourhood of Fukuoka, we drive a mere 30 km/h and have so many single lane roads. It's easy does it with no one in a real rush. Although due to population, while I'll happily avoid driving long distances in Japan for sake of the existence Shinkansen, in NZ there is no such choice.
But something about driving in New Zealand is magical. Sure, lots of one lane roads.... but the sights are amazing (particularly in south island).
You'll love it! And we'll love watching your videos!
Little in population but not size
Little? It's 1.6 million people. I know compared to a lot of cities that isn't a huge number but it's still big. Comparing it to the USA, Auckland would be the 6th largest city (based on census population).
@@CreedBrattonTheOffice although this comparison is true, you must not a slight technicality in the way the US uniquely lists their populations.
The US census always counts the city centre (e.g. downtime or CBD) rather than counting the metro population like almost every other country does.
So it's impossible to make this comparison fairly as Auckland's population of 1.6 million is a metro population and the list of US cities (which you're right, would make Auckland 6th) are not metro populations.
It's like comparing apples and oranges.
Instead, you need to look at metro populations of US cities.
Using this US method of calculating the downtime or CBD only, Auckland city is actually around 60,000 people; which if then put on the list of US cites, would make it 400th and justify it as a small city.
That's not really fair or correct for Auckland.
The best way to get a true comparison is to look up the "metropolitan population of "
When inserting Auckland metro among US metro city populations would make it approximately 40th.
This would make slightly larger than Raleigh, NC (one of the US's fastest growing cities). Raleigh's city population is about 470,000 but metro population is 1.5 million and growing.
I split my time between the US, Japan and Australia. I really loved the scale of Auckland. Felt like a "just right" size for quality of life. Cities that are too large just get in their own way :)
I think it's certainly easy to compare Auckland to Australian cities.
Population of Australian cities (unlike the US) is the same as NZ in that metro populations are usually used for describing the population by census.
If Auckland were an Australian city, it would be ranked 5th. Sydney and Melbourne alone, have more population than all of New Zealand. It would be larger than Adelaide (which feels small compared to Auckland).
If I were to compare to cities in Japan instead, Auckland would actually come in around 10th being roughly same as Okayama's MMA (Major Metropolitan Area).
But to make the point about how different metro populations can be, Auckland would fit into Tokyo's (Kanto MMA) 23 times.
Then again, Tokyo Metro population is still currently the world's largest at 37 million.
My family uses our car when we travel. Particularly if we wiki camp. We put our older two in the car and our youngest and my husband go in the roof top tent. The kids pile up the luggage on front seats, they put some luggage between front seat and the folded down back seats (into the gap). They have air mattresses to lie on. My daughter prefers a thick cuddly blanket (she can sleep anywhere though), but that can just because it is easier to set up and pack than her airmattress. We block out the windows with black out blinds and put netting on the windows as bug netting (they are actually window shades). I recommend have a window open slightly to help with condensation (hence the use of the net shades as bug netting).
Have fun. I love NZ as an Aussie Maori. It is beautiful. Enjoy.
Happy Birthday Cheveyo. I'm glad to see you both back on your feet. Have a good, healthy time in NZ.
Great car. I would choose Ruby or Scarlet.
Great to see you back. Hope you’re fully recovered. Happy birthday Cheveyo! Am impressed with the great car deals you score😊. Ruby or Berry for her?
I woke up early, upset from a bad dream, discovered you two had uploaded your first NZ video only five minutes before, instant cure! Happy now 😊 So good to see you both healthy and on your feet again. How about "Scarlett" for your little car? Yes, Japan has an official Government Ministry of Beeps, so many Japanese cars have annoying beeps for everything, not sure why, or the relationship with BMW? Now that's a mystery. Good thinking, getting something that you can sleep in the back - you will find that very useful, guaranteed. Your cinematography is great, made Auckland look good. So happy you two are here in NZ 😊🎉
HAPPY BIRTHDAY 🎉 you’re going to love NZ, must do a couple of touristy things like Hobbiton, all things LOTR and the Caves. It’s such a beautiful country from north to south.
Happy Birthday Cheveyo! The car is a lovely raspberry color, so I vote for framboise (raspberry in French). It sounds more bourgeois than raspberry.
Great to see you two back and I'm sure you'll love NZ our across the ditch neighbour. There have been some great suggestions for naming your BMW. I suggest Rosie. Enjoy! Oh nearly forgot. Happy Birthday Cheveyo.
Oh my gosh I just came back from a holiday in NZ!! I am Australian and loved watching you go across my country. Now I’m so excited to see what you get up to here😁😁
Happy birthday Cheveyo!
Wow! Been a while, welcome to my hometown, OMG the Paknsave in Glenfield is 1 minute from my house😮 beautiful weather this long weekend! Enjoy 😊
Happy Birthday Cheveyo! Looking forward to watching you travel through New Zealand! Love the colour of your car, you should name it Cherry or Ruby! Safe travels! ❤🇦🇺
Happy birthday Cheveyo! ❤
When get up north and park the car in a remote spot don’t leave luggage or valuables in the car as break-ins and thefts happen unfortunately but you probably already know that. Happy travels.
good to see you both recovered
Happy Birthday Cheveyo
Happy birthday Cheveyo! 🎉🎉🎂🍰
I vote for Raspberry!
Yay! You made it to my home country. 🇳🇿 Happy Birthday 🎉
Happy belated Cheveyo. Glad you're in NZ. The south island in particular is concentrated beauty.
Absolutely!
Welcome! Such a small world... your video randomly showed up on suggested and then I drove past in the background during the video haha! Make sure you see Queenstown/Wanaka and the Milford Sound. That's the best part of New Zealand. Enjoy your stay
Happy Birthday Cheveo. Your new addition has to have one of three names..... Cherry Blossom, Strawberry or Raspberry. I vote "Cherry Blossom"! Enjoy New Zealand - it is a wonderful country to visit.
Great to see you both well and travelling 'across the ditch' in a BMW no less...Raspberry?? Enjoy the Nth Island and the Bay of Islands will be a highlight of the North Island. Happy Trails :)
Happy birthday bro, great to see you guys back 🤙
Welcome back 💕 - Happy Birthday Cheveyo - I vote for Ruby 😊
N.Z. is a great place for scenery and volcanic places, hot springs etc . In saying N.Z. is a great place half the country's people have moved to Australia ( KIWI windup) . BMW's are good but expensive to service and very expansive to repair if it go's kaput but you may be lucky and got a good one . Oh yeah HAPPY BIRTHDAY Chevy :-)
I've done it, I've watched every single video from the start after discovering you on the Australian roadtrip!
Heyo! We occasionally watch some older videos. And, man…. 😬
Happy Birthday Cheveyo. I think a name could be Rose, Rosalie, Roseberry or Cherry. I loved NZ but I only roadtripped the South Island (Milford Sound and the area approaching it was outstanding). Also Queenstown was lovely but a little expensive. Looking forward to see the North Island. Have fun.😊
Looking so forward to NZ adventure 👏👏👍
happy birthday, Cheveyo!!!! 🌹
So pleased to see you both back and looking healthy & happy! Love the vegeMOIT in your trolley & the australian accent is back, yay! I am so envious, ive never been to NZ & cannot wait to see this beautiful country.
Happy belated birthday Cheveyo 🎉
A car tent which fits on the hatch back door will give you so much more room . Cheap as chips!! Sell everything when you leave.
So......which pie was better?
😀✌️❤️
You popped up on my feed. I'm a Kiwi live in Whangarei. Quite enjoy watching tourists travel here. Don't just stick to the well-known tourist routes.
They’re called op shops in Australia too. It’s short for “opportunity shop”, because that’s what they’re meant to provide disadvantaged people.
And happy belated birthday!!🎉🎉
