First impressions of Auckland, New Zealand's largest city (vlog 1)

- New Zealand is one of the most naturally beautiful countries in the world! We start this trip by visiting Auckland, the main and largest city. In this first video, in essence, we walked around our hotel in the Central Business District. We went directly to the waterfront to see the Wynyard Quarter, the Harbour Bridge, and Viaduct Harbour, then we headed straight up to the tallest structure in New Zealand (and former tallest in the Southern Hemisphere), the Sky Tower. All places offer outstanding views!
You can combine the Sky Tower ticket with other attractions, and we chose the All Blacks Experience. New Zealand is famous for its National Rugby Team, and as there were no games we could attend, this was the closest we could find. I wish we could have shown the real experience when they play the haka in front of you... You get bumps all over! Unfortunately, video is not allowed.
We closed the day at Elliott Stables, a nice area full of restaurants. They offer several eating options with international cuisine, and it was great to escape the rain!

Finally you are starting the New Zealand video series! Nice to see Renata and Gordon walking around in my city. I smiled through the whole video. Yes we have had an extremely wet year last year. It broke records. This year has been much better though. Auckland is a volcanic city. Over 50 of them with Rangitoto being the most impressive and distinctive in the harbour. Hopefully it doesn't erupt again soon. If it does...it was nice to meet you! Yes restaurant prices in NZ are slightly cheaper than Australia but almost everything else is more expensive. And you will get 4 seasons in one day here. Was impressed with both of your rugby kicks!

Wait till you get to the South Island. Totally different from the North, another beautiful side of NZ, but has stunning views. Pity you arrived during autumn/winter. I have sub to watch your journey. All the best!

Hi Renata, Wow, first impressions of NZ, Beautiful, definitely on my bucket list of places to visit, The highlight of your video for me is the observatory, also on my to do list if ever I go there. The glass walkway reminds me of something similar at the Dubai Sky observatory I went last year with friends and Eureka Skydeck 88 in Melbourne Australia. Obviously, people with vertigo, I do not recommend they go there. Other than that Beautiful place indeed.
Don't bother, our country is a shit hole if you come here you'll probably get robbed , assaulted, and abused 😂😂 don't be fooled

Absolutely amazing nice sound. I recommend you visit the himalayan mountains k2 and Nangaparbat view point from one place moses peak. Add this sound in your bucket list.

Be sure to take the ferry over to Waiheke Island, while in Auckland, if you have time. You could actually do three months in New Zealand and not do it justice.

Isolated for sure. Nothing fun...it has nature at its best. Lots of it and unspoiled. With fantastic cities, very walkable with great restaurants.

Shame on them, Big Ben indeed, it's the Elizabeth Tower. The weather in NZ is very similar to UK as almost exactly the opposite side of the planet only a fraction of a degree off. Just a slightly different oceanic climate.
NZ is not exactly the other side of the world than Britain. The North Island falls in the middle of Spain and the South Island through France.
