New Zealand's beauty is a harmonious blend of majestic mountains, pristine lakes, lush forests, and stunning coastlines, creating a picturesque paradise that captures the heart and soul of every traveler.
I've just completed an incredible 3-month adventure in New Zealand. We drove from the South Pole to the North Pole and back. The South Island is filled with the most incredible scenery. If you ever find yourself back in Wanaka on a sunny day, you need to take the drive to Wishbone Falls. We're in Fiji now, working our way up towards Japan. A few years ago, you inspired my wife and me to travel through your videos, and I'm not sure if we'll ever return home.
Wow that’s is a adventure! I’m sure you saw so many incredible places in 3 months, we only had 2 weeks! I’ll have to visit Wishbone falls next time. That’s awesome you guys are in Japan now
@@sonminorimitsuu2838 3 months should be fine to see the best of nz. We live in Auckland and just got back from Queenstown, we were there for 4 days but it was too short, I’d love to stay in the South Island for at least 2 weeks. Definitely come between November- March. The rainy season isn’t good 😊 unless you want to ski!
We love NZ. 7 months ago we went over (from AUS) and found Glenorchy to be the most stunning place. The drive from Queenstown to Glenorchy was the best drive we have ever done. We stopped for walks along the way including at Bob's Cove where we walked to the lookout for 360 degree views of the lake. We also did a walk (well, run because we were running out of light) at Glenorchy to Sylvan Lake. We were lucky to have very little wind and saw the reflection of snow capped mountains reflecting in the lake. We heard there are a lot of good walking tracks out there also!
I´ve lived in NZ for 3 years. It was the best time of my life! So many amazing places to visit and things to see. This clip brought those memories back, thank you. Hope to be back one day!
It's finally here! Seriously, I am so happy you made this video, the scenery and endemism of New Zealand truly are one of a kind. What amazing place do you plan on featuring next?
@@RyanShirley You will have so much fun, the landscapes of Australia might not be as tall and dramatic as NZ, but the whole atmosphere of Australia's countryside is unparalleled in the best way possible. I highly recommend the Grand Pacific Drive and the various old-growth giant eucalyptus forests dotted throughout Australia's coastal regions. Australia is a country of pure adventure and exploration.
Aotearoa New Zealand is the most beautiful country on earth ❤ I spent a year in nz and it was incredibly hard to leave, it feels like home now. Thank you for bringing me back through your video! A few of my favourite places were West Coast, earnslaw burn track (waaaay more challenging than Roy’s peak) Routeburn track, Abel Tasman and bay of islands. Truly an incredible country and I can’t wait to go back ❤
Thanks for re-inspiring the regular kiwi people. It’s so beautiful here and I don’t know which fairy is going around creating all these new scenic walks through forests, mountains and everything but it’s awesome! We just went to a new high rise walk through the forest on the North Shore (near central Auckland), it was amazing.
New Zealand seems like such a naturally beautiful and majestic country, that’s awesome you go to visit Ryan! It’s on my bucket list of places to visit someday!
@@RyanShirley thanks bro I really hope so too! Milford sound especially looks like another world it’s so beautiful! And I want to see the glow worm caves too!

Wow, another place to add to my list. love the looks of Hooker Lake. So cool with the ice chunks. Place looks so peaceful. These videos are getting me pumped to see more and more. Best drone footage of any travel videos. Another superb video Ryan !
Thanks so much brother! I think you gotta go here after Iceland! NZ really had almost every landscape from incredible beaches, mountains like New Zealand, and fjords like Norway

Your videos are great, I think that most people who watch you would like to visit the places you post on your channel, but a lot of people think that the costs are too high, could you post a range of travel costs or how you travel?
Thanks friend, I spent about $1000 on flights and the rental car was about $1100 for two weeks and I averaged about $100-150 a night for lodging. You can do it cheaper and also get a van and sleep in that instead. Food ranged from $30-60 a day. Hope this helped
@@RyanShirley Both islands. There’s so much I’ve missed that you’ve mentioned I need to go back someday. Glenorchy and Cape Reinga is two I’d recommend. Love the videos man.
To fully enjoy the beauty of NZ you need to have at least 5 weeks. Rent a car and start travelling from North Island to South Island. Visit around end of November up to end of February. I've been to most parts of NZ and I visited NZ 4x already.
You need to do the Tongariro Alpine Crossing when you go back to NZ. The views you get to see are epic, especially when you see the Emerald Lakes and the Blue Lake. 😊
Cathedral Cove was where they did the opening of the second Narnia movie Prince Caspian. You can also airbnb hobbit houses in that film set now. You left out Mt Sunday for Edoras, or the outdoor set of Rivendell, somewhere outside of wellington. What about Mordor and Emyn Muil? Weathertop?
New Zealand is one of my favorite places. The scenery is incredible and the people are very friendly. Milford Sound and Fjordlands is my favorite area for scenery. Looks like you lucked out with sunny weather - all of the South Island is often chilly, cloudy and rainy. You know, the original Hobbiton was torn down as were all real LOTR sets after filming per agreement with the government, but it was rebuilt afterward with sturdy materials (the original was polystyrene). Did you go to the Green Dragon Inn? I'm late today due to time change.
Thanks so much John! I agree with you regarding the Milford sound, I would love to visit more of the fjords by boat next time. Did you visit any of the other fjords in Fiordland? And that’s crazy Hobbiton was taken down and rebuilt for the hobbit. The farmers knew they had to capatilize on it the second time.
@@RyanShirley I've only been there twice so I'm no expert and a lot of it requires multi day hikes and reserving huts in advance. I've only otherwise seen Doubtful Sound, but that requires an expensive overnight boat trip (includes dinner and breakfast) about $500 per person and you have to share a room for four people (not much luxury for a luxury price, but it's much quieter and less touristed than Milford). At Milford Sound I recommend hikes to Lake Marian or the shorter Lake Gunn Trail. Hope you didn't run into any sandflies!
