I know this is an old video, my wife dropped her iphone X Max. The touch screen stopped working. The screen is intact, but this video explained perfectly why it stopped working.

when checking the diodes and pressure was applied to which presented correct or near enough diode readings, wouldn't it have saved a lot of time to simply resolder at the pressure point that was applied to the connector?

over time the heat from the battery as it deteriorated is going to be one of the main cause for the weakening of the solder bonds.

My gf’s X is 4y/o and looks just perfect. Yesterday her touch stopped working for a couple od minutes and than just stopped forever. Do you think there is a quick solution, just so we can make a itunes backup for the new iphone? Without opening the X since I don’t have the tools.

No touch on iPhone X is usually pretty bad damage that severs connections in the board. You could try pressure on the board but if that doesn’t work it needs a big surgery
how we could identify if there is an IC problem rather than a bad connection between layers?
Try a new screen. The touch ic is on the screen. If you have an iPhone X with no touch that’s not water damaged-it is ALWAYS layer damage
I have not seen the entire video, but my Iphone Xs currently have no touch, i can connect the bluetooth headset, i can answer incomming phone calls, but then all out of suddenly restarts it can turn on and work as normal. Then suddenly turn of touch.
Every night i got it to work, so i can set alarm, but around 9:30 AM every day it shut of and stop working. If it was something wrong in the motherboard, should not that be constant ? I seen lots of post about just X models and this problem, but i dont see people say they got a phone that goes on and off over the day. Is the fix just to buy a new phone ?

I had a IPhone X and took it to a third party told me it had 3 layers of damage but would say it was charging before it went in and now is completely dead same thing happens to my iPhone XR
I have a third party repair shop, It means exactly what you think it means, something was damaged during repair. Not ALWAYS repairperson's fault, but mistakes do happen and it could very well be their fault

not really an apple person, and sorry to butt in but I saw a video on the brightness sense problem when changing out screens on X. It seems the screens are programmed to work on each phone and you need to read and write the eprom to get brightness sense to work. Is that really so?
just had a thought, should there be a second grey piece of lego on top to simulate the top board?

Hello, there is a problem. There are two x IPhones, one of the locked second works. Changed the motherboard and the face of the certificate. When you connect the displays on both stops working touch from the middle of the screen to the top. If you place the displays and motherboards as they were originally touch works. When tossing the third display to both boards also works touch. Rang tacha connector on displays and boards, as required. What could be the problem?
What can I do so I have stands up my phone because I cannot do what you do

I have no knowledge of this stuff, but wouldn't it be easier to remove the memory and place into another device for data recovery or is this not an option?
Far easier to fix the board in most cases, but as a last resort we do sometimes transfer the double stacked CPU/RAM, logic EEPROM and NAND chips, but of course if anything damages those chips it is not recoverable.
Why only 480p?
Do you find it difficult to understand in 480p or is it just because it's more aesthetically pleasing at a higher resolution? Personally, I value the message far more than the delivery conveyance.

I have a question. i know this video was over a year ago.
I currently own an iPad Pro 11 (2020). I played this game F1 Mobile Racing a lot. To play, the steering wheel is on the bottom left and the brake on the bottom right. The problem i have is during the game which is fast action and requires fast response. Every time i make a right turn, somehow i lost the steering control. The touch control no longer response and the cursor repositioned itself to the very bottom right corner of the screen. I had to re-tap on the screen to take control. By then, my car went off road or crashed. The funny thing was i tried play this game with my same player profile on an olde iPad and i had no issue at all.
I brought this problem to the game developer and they are looking into it. But i suspect it could be with the hardware on my new iPad Pro.
Any suggestion? Please help.

I had in the pas an old Compaq Armada 1700 laptop with a similar sandwich board design, and it was not that much reliable, due to bad contacts between the layers. This is a poor design.

What do I do if the touch registry works on the bottom part of the screen and the middle but the top of my screen doesn’t register touch ?
This is a parts problem -some devices only work with a subset of screens.

Hi any advice on what to do for my Iphone Xs? about half an inch of the left side of my iphone Xs does not register touch input. I dont know why. I cant press Q, A and I cant even press back arrow button on the top. Im afraid to go out during this Pandemic time. I got an iFixiT precision tool and I want to open up my phone but I really need to find someone who had the same issue. before I go request a replacement screen.

2. cant you boot into recovery mode like on android and use adb (does iphone has something similar to adb?) to copy data off or make image of the phone ?

When will Apple finally have a removable back to house the battery AND the sim card? It will solve about 9 issues. A removable door can have a gasket and screws. I know Apple does not like screws, but neither do people like to be screwed.
