I really don't like repairing something that the customer has already tried to repair.
A friend asked me if I could resolder an HDMI port. He brought me just the board. It didn't take me long to see that someone had already been at it, and had removed more than half the traces under the connector.
I asked my friend if his neighbor had tried to repair it himself. After a very long delay, he said "Yesss..."
Translation: my friend tried to resolder it and damaged it.

I tried to fix an old Lumia 900 many years ago.. It had a flex cable between main and daughter boards. I applied too much heat and the traces just came up from pcb. I still feel bad about batching that repair.

you cant blow a part away thats soldered on the board with hot air (i mean its possible but even with 100 airflow i never blowed a component away :o he fucked it up through shaky hands in my opinion
I've seen videos of people blowing small components across boards with hot air (mainly tiny resistors). This one looks pretty bad though.
For the normal business just append the name with something like phone & computer repair & recovery (or something shorter that still covers the contents).
"JJ Forensics"? Or "JJ Forensics & Repair"? Just thoughts. (Could expand the name, or add nouns-used-as-adjectives (like iPhone, referring to repair and/or forensics.)
