Hi Dave, I’d like your take on the Eclipsmart telescope? I have purchased the 10x42 Eclipsmart binoculars. Could you help me out please. I booked a hotel in Hobbs NM. I have seen many eclipses including four totals. This will be a first using binoculars and maybe the telescope. Thanks for your input. Harry

I personal favorite is the add on EclipSmart filters with the nighttime scopes. It gives you the best of both worlds. Specifically with the StarSense Explorer scopes as they are a joy to use. The StarSense Explorer technology is like magic.

I want to know, where along the path of 2024 totality has the highest probability of clear skies. I'm guessing Texas?

I actually have a telescope 🔭. I got it for my birthday. And I got a question. why do they always give you glasses to wear during the eclipse I don't understand that❤ [I'd love to be entered for the drawing]
what will it do to the eyes if you do not have protection I guess is my true question.
And also do you do any school events educating younger kids about this? My daughter's love space and the sky just like me. Have a lovely evening.

Solar glasses are required when viewing the eclipse as it can permanently damage, your vision.
It is important to note that an ISO compliant solar filter is required in front of the optics when viewing through a telescope or binoculars.
Wearing solar glasses is only for when you’re viewing with just your eyes. They will not protect you if you use a telescope or binoculars.
I have plans to travel to view the eclipse with my own family.
