I watched this video to see if he could hit that note live and I was not disappointed. He started out a tiny bit flat but with a little help from that guitar he got up there and it was glorious
They practised a lot, they knew they played well together and wanted to show us all a new path. . . they went on stage and ripped up the 1990's right then and there! The rest is history...
This performance was the high point of mid-1990's rock. All the fundamentals are there but the absolutely brutal execution really makes it something special. Thom's voice is transcendental, an otherworldly warning of the pitfalls of emotion and the human condition. This is a performance for the archives, to be sure. When someone asks you what rock was in the 1990s, show them this and say nothing. Let the music move them.
You: You are the sun and moon and stars are you And I could never run away from you You try at working out chaotic things And why, should I believe myself not you? It's like the world is gonna end so soon And why should I believe myself? You, me and everything caught in the fire I can see me drowning Caught in the fire.
Ryland Cook King of Limbs is a million times better than Pablo Honey. Fucking objectively so. I would even go as far and say that King of Limbs is an extremely underrated album.
I believe Ed and Phil were the ones who enjoyed their old school rock band days the most... Ed wanted to make another OK computer/ bends but the band went in the Kid A direction. And obviously their new direction didn't have as much room for a drummer.
Man, I love the drums on this song. It's one of my favorite Radiohead songs. I mean, yeah, Pablo Honey is objectively speaking their weakest album but this song, man... a true gem.
I love this song! It sounds so much better live and I thought that the album version was great! Awsome song by an awsome band! Thom still had his bright blonde hair there! Wonderful song by a wonderful band!
going to reach 2 decades since this performance soon and this song never dies. Though I have one wish, that is to see that massive amount of crowd coming here just to watch a live performance of MUSIC
imo my favourite radiohead album, and to people who say you can't like pablo honey, this song alone is proof it's one of the greatest albums - and creep is a good song don't @ me
Definitely my favorite from Pablo Honey, this and Creep are the only songs from that album that really stick out to me. Radiohead is very much the antithesis of a sellout band, as they only got better with time hahaha.
You are the sun the moon and stars Are you and I could never run away from you You try at working out chaotic things And why should I believe myself, not you It's like the world is gonna end so soon And why should I believe myself? the opening and the closing of Pablo Honey, You and Blow Out, are true masterpieces.
Exactly!
I agree
100% truth
true!
I agree but there 's a lot of mastepieces at Pablo honey. I can add Proove yourself, Vegetable and Stop whispering also
In my opinion, better than creep!
Absolutely!
100%
GiiGii lozada yesss!
Fucking yeessss
every song is better than creep, including pop is dead! creep is for fangirls
Man, their grungier stuff was phenomenal.
yes. thom yorke's highest note he can hit without changing registers: a B4. so glad to see he didn't shy away from it live...so much talent.
it’s crazy
What does changing registers mean?
@@jakeben3330 it means going falsetto
I watched this video to see if he could hit that note live and I was not disappointed. He started out a tiny bit flat but with a little help from that guitar he got up there and it was glorious
@@user-bu6nq1ve6m holy shit
This, and especially Blow Out, are two of Radiohead’s most underrated songs.
Still listening to this in July 2024! Who else with me? Click like!
Ah, the early 90s: Back when Ed was still contemplating keeping his job as a pirate before fully committing himself to Radiohead.
Was it "ARRRRR" before "EEEDDDDD"?
Can we all just take a moment to appreciate Colin's amazing bass playing
1:51 has to be the best part of this whole song always gives me goosebumps
It really is maginifcent.
i knowwww right! that belt 😮💨😮💨
few things are better
The drummer is going so hard, I feel it in my soul.
That's Phil Selway
He has a name yk
@@notforresale1 don’t we all
He's great! I love his solo stuff.
They practised a lot, they knew they played well together and wanted to show us all a new path. . . they went on stage and ripped up the 1990's right then and there! The rest is history...
bravo !!
indobleh no the rest wasn't history. Everything was amazing.
@@lcddrownd874 some might say, everything in its right place
what's especially cool about this song is the time signature. it's 6/8 three measures in a row and then 5/8 once
Doesn't that make it 23/8?
@Jacob Macpherson 23/32 has entered the building
Hey look, Phil had hair!
Omg this song is literally phenomenal
This performance was the high point of mid-1990's rock. All the fundamentals are there but the absolutely brutal execution really makes it something special. Thom's voice is transcendental, an otherworldly warning of the pitfalls of emotion and the human condition.

Well said.
Watch Jeff Buckley’s performance of “what will you say” live. That could contest this one imo
I've never wanted a time machine so badly
literally
That was fucking class. I loved his vocals in the 90's
You:
You are the sun and moon and stars are you
And I could never run away from you
You try at working out chaotic things
And why, should I believe myself not you?
It's like the world is gonna end so soon
And why should I believe myself?
You, me and everything caught in the fire
I can see me drowning
Caught in the fire.
I'll never forget the woman who turned me on to Radiohead, she was one of a kind.
I met one of those too, truly one of a kind.
To anyone who thinks that 'Pablo Honey' isn't worth bothering with, just watch this!
do people actually think that?
Pablo Asrin yes they do. It's not not worth buying but it's definitely there worst album.
the album sucks but this song is goooood
Rolling Stone I actually do think it’s their worst album, compared to all of their later work. Except probably King of Limbs.
Ryland Cook King of Limbs is a million times better than Pablo Honey. Fucking objectively so. I would even go as far and say that King of Limbs is an extremely underrated album.
This is some of the GOLD Of Pablo Honey. along with prove yourself too NOT JUST CREEP!
Miss Not Of This World think about you ?
Miss Not Of This World blow out?
Miss Not Of This World I agree, You, Prove Yourself and Vegetable are really good songs!
Blow out, you, prove yourself, ripcord, anyone can play guitar, creep... these are all GREAT! Thats why I love pablo honey equally as the others
Lol the video description is laughing in your face (says this song is creep live)
Aggressive radiohead is my favorite radiohead ❤
1:51 The scream!
try to figure out the timing.. 6/8 6/8 6/8 5/8 and he doesn't miss a beat on the guitar while singing.. this is art :-)
It's more like 15/8
Remind me of edvard of muench
That scream rips me up inside in all the most perfect ways lol 😍
Brilliant.
Thx man 😃
absolute chills every time i hear that scream after the second verse. one of their best & most underrated songs
i cannot believe none of them miss playing stuff like this, except for thom of course,
dosquest thom misses it? I thought he hated all of pablo honey
u clearly suck at understanding
@@roycelim9822 The sentence was written in a way that could be taken two different ways.

i wish they would do a bends/pablo honey tour again.
This performance is so great,I can't think of a word to describe it.The singing, the guitars, the bass and the drums.Everything about it... outstanding.
Go and listen to "Blow Out " another amazing gem from they start.
Man, I love the drums on this song. It's one of my favorite Radiohead songs.
I mean, yeah, Pablo Honey is objectively speaking their weakest album but this song, man...
a true gem.
The reason that pablo honey is their weakest album is because all their other albums are waaayy too powerful
How is KidA better than Pablo honey? Has couple interesting tunes but also a bunch of crap too. “Different” does not = good.
Same
Yeah! The boys I originally fell in love with .. This song is great live- they should resurrect it.. Definitely the gem of PH
this is SOME GREAT PIECE OF MUSIC
describes the early Radiohead so well
2:25 Such a sexy look...
WIsh I could be in a bad ass band like this!!! I dropped to the floor first time I heard this song in 94
the big high note thom hits in the middle gives me shivers :D
Jonny's bend @2:08 is insane!
3'07 and 3'09 are better ;-)
pablo honey ...underrated, so many great songs on that record. Their body of work is so immense it makes these songs seem average.
woke up with this song stuck in my head
Same.
Pablo honey one of the best albums ever made
OMG THOM WAS SO HANDSOME
I love this song! It sounds so much better live and I thought that the album version was great!
Awsome song by an awsome band!
Thom still had his bright blonde hair there! Wonderful song by a wonderful band!
That ending at 2:22 with a flash of light off the guitar -- Transcendental!
"You" is the best song of Pablo Honey! But.... Vegetable, I can't, Lurgee, Stop Whispering, Blow Out and Creep are Great songs too
going to reach 2 decades since this performance soon and this song never dies. Though I have one wish, that is to see that massive amount of crowd coming here just to watch a live performance of MUSIC
My favorite Radiohead song
Favorite song off this album. Masterpiece.
My favorite song from the album :)
imo my favourite radiohead album, and to people who say you can't like pablo honey, this song alone is proof it's one of the greatest albums - and creep is a good song don't @ me
It’s crazy that Jonny still plays with that same guitar.
Such a great song. My cover band that never played in front of anyone played this song (horribly...but it was still fun).
What a guitar work!
1:52. That scream
I would not call that a scream
Radiohead's guitars are an orgasm for my ears
They were really feeling themselves with this set! They went off🔥😭
i just wanted to see what this song looked like live, didn't disappoint
The english are still unmatched in rock. Everyone was secretly learning from them. No one's better than them in technicity and musicianship.
thanks for putting this up, it was up before but got deleted and nobody else had it
oh how i wish i was here for this
This is the quintessential 90's sound right here
Wow...I get chills from this footage. PEACE AND LOVE!!!
This song is such a masterpiece
Wow that part starting 1:50
Insane solo btw, way different from the original one
They were so young :O
My fave song on Pablo Honey! At 1:50 when Thom just rips into that "YOUUUUUUUUUUUUUU"
My favourite band since I was a kid
Gloriously raw
ED'S HAIRCUT
He looks like 90s Hugh Grant lol.
ellystripes COLIN'S OUTFIT
Best pablo honey song
So glad this was live... that energy!
just got blown away
Holy Crap amazing!
23/8, ftw!
thanks for the post, fabiocchi.
How could you not like this ?..
Definitely my favorite from Pablo Honey, this and Creep are the only songs from that album that really stick out to me. Radiohead is very much the antithesis of a sellout band, as they only got better with time hahaha.
I like blowout and Anyone can play guitar as well
non smetterei mai di ascoltarla...
This is one of the few tracks on Pablo Honey I absolutely love
From 2:55 that ain’t no pop chords. Sick.
absolute tune, what a great band!!
Jonny is the most energetic guitarist eveeeeeeeeer
Phil and hair, a love story that went wrong :(
You are my favorite 🧡
It's called the "Ed-1" I think, custom made by Ed's guitar tech Plank. They're not commercially available unfortunately.
whoa is any of this even real holy crap
Espetacular... sempre!
I would have killed to see this live!
Ed is frickin awesome!
Colin's bass is cranked in this performance. 2:31 Such a groovy bass player.
I love this song!!
You are the sun the moon and stars
Are you and I could never run away from you
You try at working out chaotic things
And why should I believe myself, not you
It's like the world is gonna end so soon
And why should I believe myself?
Yeah
You, me, and everything
Caught in the fire
I can see you drowning
Caught in the fire
You, me, and everything
Caught in the fire
I can see you drowning
Caught in the fire
Раньше они просто были супер бравоооо
согласен .
Radiohead changed in 2000 because they completed all the rock genres
Beautiful! x
I dare anyone to find a video of this show where one of the highest rated comments isn't about Ed and his magnificent shirt. :P
sso fuckign awesome
holly fuck!!
