Bigger humor, darkness, emotion, special effects. Heard it going into this season from several people, and Good Baby Jesus were they correct. I absolutely loved this season. Man tears were shed.

I also zipped right through all 8 eps in one sitting. I thought it was a bit of a slow start, but DAMN, this season gets crazy. The visual effects are unleashed & amazing!

They took a scene from Fast Times at Ridgemont high playing “Moving in Stereo” when Billy enters the pool area. Phoebe Cates (whom they reference a lot) had a similar scene with same song.
That bit with Hopper and Mike in the car had me dying. I feel when Hopper said "Crazy? You wanna see crazy?" With that quiet demeanor and bulging eyes, i feel that ranks up there alongside when Michael Keaton asked Jack Nicholson "If he wanted to get nuts" in Batman. So epic and too funny.

Hopper was right though, Mike was being a douche, and so disrespectful, he's still a kid, him and El, and Hop tried to talk nicely, Mik'es attitude pushed him, and he was already struggling with the whole thing, I loved it when he layed down the law lol

I haven't finished the whole thing, but I will finish it today. #1. Billy.... with a B! There ya go. If your name starts with a B in Stranger Things, you are pretty much a red shirt. #2. I laughed my butt off with the "Hopper dealing with Elle's dating" storyline..... and all I kept thinking was... OMG... this is Steve's future. LOL! However, I think that future prospective dates for your girls might have to be more afraid of Nikki! Lol... Ohhh... boy that's gonna be a whole situation when the time comes. I feel bad for your girls future dates! Don't poke momma bear! Lol 😉 And yes, my niece is 11, almost 12, and the interest in boys thing is already happening. By 13 or 14.... they will be dating. Soooo.. yeah... time goes fast. I remember that age, I remember how holding hands was a big thing. You'd see all the 13 and 14 year olds pairing off. Actually it was around 7th and 8th grade. These days, unfortunately, are a bit less innocent. Although .... back then people said the same thing though. 🤷♀️ I am surprised that you edited out the first glimpse we get of Nancy and Jonathan! Lol That was hilarious to me. It's a long way from the first glimpses of Nancy and Jonathan that we had in the first season, lol. It's so relatable and true to life. That's one thing that I really love about this show, is that regardless of the supernatural things happening, you also really just relate to these characters because they ARE so real. They are just a normal group of people living their everyday lives and all that entails, that just so happen to be thrust into these situations. It has a very strong foundation- both in the time setting and in is characters, and I think that enhances the whole supernatural or paranormal aspect of the show.
I have major issues with this season, and I really wish I didn't. It has it's moments though I guess... Season 1 still reigns supreme, with season 2 as a close follow up.

Guys, please please watch the TV show "Dark" on Netflix! It's German, but just make sure to watch it with the original German audio and English subtitles! It is absolutely amazing, at least on the level of Stranger Things. Some of the best storytelling I've ever seen. Other Dark fans, up-vote this comment so that they might see!

The younger kids are around the start of high school, and Erica, Lucas' sassy little sister, is (maybe not coincidentally) around the age the kids were at the start of season 1. -- So yeah, Mrs. Wheeler and the other housewives eyeing Billy, well, it's kinda creepy but legal, and well, both sexes are known to do that. (They show people being good, bad, some of both, or with conflicting or complicated reasons, throughout the show.) Even the kids and our heroes aren't perfect in this show. They can mess, up, make mistakes, and have to try to fix things. It's part of the show's message or commentary on life and personal character. -- This show offers fun and laughs, sorrow, thrills, some horror, and runs through nearly every emotion. Really quality stuff still.

The magnets falling show there is something interfering with the electro-magnetic spectrum. The power went out before, the magnetic field is correlated with the electric field.
There's a line between overprotectiveness and going too far and Hopper crossed the line into too far territory. I had no other problems with any other characters in this episode. 8 hours after midnight on the 4th of July I was finished. That is how great the series and this season is.
Oh, I loved this season too, though it's different than the first two. I binge-watched over part of one day and the next. I'd comment, except I'm afraid I'd spoil ahead, since it all kinda merged together. But watch all the way through the end credits on chapter 8, so you don't miss something potentially important! -- I've got a comment for one or two episodes but I'll need to rewatch so I'm sure which chapter they pertain to. You're gonna love this season!

The beginning was in July 1984 and season 2 was in October-November in 1984. They’ve been trying for a year to open it, because season 3 is July 1985.

Guys, please please watch the TV show "Dark" on Netflix! It's German, but just make sure to watch it with the original German audio and English subtitles! It is absolutely amazing, at least on the level of Stranger Things. Some of the best storytelling I've ever seen. Other Dark fans, up-vote this comment so that they might see!

Note: Steve, Nancy, Jonathan, and Billy have graduated high school, so they/re 18 or 19 now. (It's established by a line between Nancy and Jonathan, and later between Steve and Robin.) The younger kids are around the start of high school, and Erica, Lucas' sassy little sister, is (maybe not coincidentally) around the age the kids were at the start of season 1. -- So yeah, Mrs. Wheeler and the other housewives eyeing Billy, well, it's kinda creepy but legal, and well, both sexes are known to do that. (They show people being good, bad, some of both, or with conflicting or complicated reasons, throughout the show.) Even the kids and our heroes aren't perfect in this show. They can mess, up, make mistakes, and have to try to fix things. It's part of the show's message or commentary on life and personal character. -- This show offers fun and laughs, sorrow, thrills, some horror, and runs through nearly every emotion. Really quality stuff still.
So, I was gonna just wait and watch it with you guys on Patreon, have the TV going at same time.... BUT I failed, succumbed to the drug that is the binge. 😂 You'll love it. M + L = 💟
@8:00, it's reminiscent of the movie "Fast Times At Ridgemont High", a very famous 80's movie btw, where Phoebe Cates climbs out of the pool per Judge Reinhold's, um, fantasy. And like that scene, she eventually was topless.
Even when Steven reads the title of the episode and nikki is kinda annoyed, she looks at him like he is the man of her dreams.

There's a line between overprotectiveness and going too far and Hopper crossed the line into too far territory. I had no other problems with any other characters in this episode. 8 hours after midnight on the 4th of July I was finished. That is how great the series and this season is.
Lately I've been just not watching trailers. I skipped Stranger Things season 3 trailer, and i'm glad I did.

Oh, I loved this season too, though it's different than the first two. I binge-watched over part of one day and the next. I'd comment, except I'm afraid I'd spoil ahead, since it all kinda merged together. But watch all the way through the end credits on chapter 8, so you don't miss something potentially important! -- I've got a comment for one or two episodes but I'll need to rewatch so I'm sure which chapter they pertain to. You're gonna love this season!
Hi kids! On July 4th I was sitting around, not watching parades, military or otherwise. Took that time to binge watch Stranger Things and enjoyed the hell out of it! I will not give away spoilers but it was well worth my time. I've missed y'all. Have fun!

Thank you for voicing the problems with trailers. I hate them. I mean, I understand the joy of seeing bits of something you're excited about, but if I have any idea that I'm going to watch something I make people angry with how adamant I am that they not tell me anything about it. Trailers usually touch on 60% of the story arc.
