It’s the moment when el is looking for hopper that hurts the most for me and Joyce is just looking at her in whilst she can’t do anything
They do a 1,2,3 punch here. Explosion, Hopper disappears, El's face when she realizes, then Hopper's speech. I can't with the speech.
The Steve and Robin bathroom scene is my favorite in the season. In the 80s being gay was a big deal and a lot of people judged it. The fact that Steve not only accepted it but also joked around with her shows both his strength as a character as well as his overall growth. Beautiful scene.

When Lucas and the boys had that conversation about Coke, it was about New Coke, a change in the recipe that caused a LOT of controversy. It wasn't just an ad for Coke. It was an era-specific reference.

I cried so much for Billy and Hopper. Ive watched this season 1000000 times and I cry everytime. My favourite Season.

Lucas was such a MVP this episode. He knows he doesn't have powers like Eleven, but that doesn't stop him from protecting/defending himself and others, and he knows he can be powerful like Eleven in his own way, like using his wrist rocket and the fireworks. I love that he never gets rid of the wrist rocket despite having Eleven around. Like yeah he's a typical human, but he can definitely do atypical things in his own way.
Lucas would be a ranger
Lucas went from being the hated character in S1 to the best male character of the series.
He really didn’t deserve the hostility even in season 1; his suspicions about El turned out to be wrong, but they weren’t _a priori_ unreasonable, and once he had compelling evidence to change his mind, he owned right up to it and apologized to her.
One of my favorite small character beats in the show is the bit after El uses the sensory deprivation pool in the gym where she’s sitting on the bleachers, resting her head on Mike’s shoulder while Lucas wraps a towel around her and Dustin reaches over from Mike’s other side to pat her on the knee. Seeing all three of the boys caring for their new friend after a particularly scary and exhausting use of her powers is heartwarming.

@@NeBojSeJaSam13 I’ve been calling her that since season one! A naive young woman turning into a capable bad ass when the occasion calls her. I wouldn’t be surprised if the character was influenced by Conner/Ripley (80’s heroines). Nothing about her says Croft (90’s action) to me.

I loved how you did not understand the "New Coke" joke and thought it was a promotion. Coke changed it's formulation and was not well received by most. One reason why they developed Coca-Cola Classic later.
Not only that, the consumer rejection was a huge disaster for Coca Cola. Considered one of the biggest advertisement and product failures ever. Hence, the inside joke and hate by most of the group
Coulda been worse... could've been Coke Clear/Crystal Pepsi, lol.
And yet to promote season 3, Coke re-released New Coke for a short time.
@crewsayer I got two of the Stranger Things boxes with the branded new Coke. One to keep sealed and one to let the kids taste regular and new Coke. And for me to remember. Just way too sweet.

Neverending Story is one of the most awesome moments in ST history, i nearly died from laughter back then. Season 4 is even more awesome though with possibly the best moments of the show to date ( both also music involved).
Yes, it was funny in a way, but totally destroyed the tension. It all seemed so unnaturally worked in. Usually, the humor throughout the series comes in a flow, so everything fits naturally. This one was so outside, really ruined the end for me.

El made him remember his innocent happy memories instead of being bitter all the time and it knocked out the mind flayer and he was done doing all the evil things that thing made him do the whole time he got protective over the kids especially the girls like how he always tried to protect him Mom from his dad when he was a kid

It wasn’t just a promo for Coke. The Coca-Cola Company came out with “New Coke” in the 80s. It was a new flavor, and there was huge controversy over it. Most people hated it. The product ended up being discontinued. That scene was a nod to that happening during the 80s.
Remember Crystal Pepsi? I can't remember if that was late 80s, or early 90s. It was popular for awhile, but didn't last.

I think at the time, they pretty much confirmed Hop was still in season 4 because people kept taking photos of them going to film season 4, so they couldn't keep it under wraps. It was all over Twitter at the time. Glad you guys didn't get that spoiled tho (they already almost done with s4 if people come here thinking im spoiling something).
I hated that they put the scene after credits that implies Hop is alive :( When I was watching with my boyfriend in his first time, I begged him not to watch but he didn't trust me. I'm still mad LMAO we argued during the scene and maybe he didn't pay attention that they said "not the American"🙃 at least he wasn't curious enough to watch season 4 trailers ☠️ wtf were they thinking putting so many spoilers there??? I'm not watching season 5 trailers at all😭

You guys should definitely give "The 100" a try. It's a show where humanity lives on a space station due to a doomsday event on Earth leaving it uninhabitable for years. 100 kids who were born in space are sent to the ground as a sort of "experiment".

This episode made me cry so hard! As soon as I saw what was happening with Joyce trying to turn those keys I remembered the first scene of the season I knew Hop was dead.
When Eleven was reading that note I had full blown ugly cried. Because I was having an emotional week that week already with some not so great things in real life. And I don’t know why but seeing Will balling his eyes out not wanting to leave his friends was the final straw. I couldn’t take another sad thing.

I cant help it but just love and feel sympathy for Billy.
In season 2 i obviosly didnt like him but in this season he became one of my favorite character’s , this whole time he was nothing but just a broken boy who missed his mom , he wasnt an evil person , he only acted as an asshole as a way to hide the pain he had inside , and Eleven showing him kindness was enough for him to shie his good side and he redeemed himself by saving her and apologizing to Max.
I dont care what some people think , i have respect for Billy.

re: coke-ad during episode, back in 1985, Coca-Cola lost their minds, and released 'New Coke', and discontinued 'old coke'. IIRC, new coke tasted kinda like Pepsi, and so many people hated it that they brought out/re-made 'Original Coke' a few months later, which is what we still have now.

When I initially came across your channel and saw you as reactors, I thought you might be just another young couple offering uneducated reactions that could be frustrating to watch. I figured I'd try you as another adorable girl with her boyfriend for the laughs. However, I was pleasantly surprised to find that you both are incredibly insightful and knowledgeable. Your reaction to Loki Season 2 impressed me and showcased your insightful perspectives. Also, your release strategy stands out as superior compared to other channels. It's frustrating when you can't wait for someone to get through to the later seasons but I LOVE how you release multiple episodes at once AND often. I usually give Stranger Things reactors a chance, considering it's such a top show. The same goes for iconic movies like Back to the Future, Forrest Gump, etc. Also, I extend that courtesy to almost every Breaking Bad/Better Call Saul reactor. However, if the reaction doesn't meet my expectations, I drop them like a hot potato. You guys have managed to become one of my favorites. If there were an award for the Best Reactors, I would undoubtedly vote for you to receive a nomination.😃

This whole show is just beautiful
Concerning Smirnoff: famous vodka brands in the world are, besides Smirnoff, Stolichnaya, Absolut and Finlandia plus a whole lot of others like The Grey Goose, US no1 vodka from France. The good thing about clear alcohol ('voda' means 'water' really and 'vodka' is 'little water') is that it gives a smaller headache usually than brandy or whisky or other coloured drinks. Like organic red wine is easier for the body than non-organic brands.
OH Man!!!! This was such a great finale!! I am looking forward to the next season from you all already! Also, remember that David Harbour went from Stranger Things to playing Red Guardian/Alexi in Black Widow. Also, Russian "terminator" was intentionally modeled after Arnold's Terminator! If you notice, even the wounds he had at the end were similar to the cyborg's damage. And if you haven't already, The Never Ending Story bears a watch, even if you don't react to it.... Great reactions!! So much fun! Thank you both!

This season has been great, even if I’m still tied to the first one more. Anyway the last episode is epic. Hopper is one of the best character of any series.
And when they sing “neverending story” it’s one of those special moment (at least for me, I saw the movie in theaters when I was a kid younger then them) and you can’t hold up singing with them!!

I don’t understand how people hated on this season?!! This season is one of my favorites!! I love how they form new groups and relationships. Getting to see new characters interact. And then how it builds up to the end with them each overcoming their own big obstacle that leads to them meeting up at the mall in the end is just sooo good!
