Just felt I should point out that no kid in the 80s would just come out as gay. A gay guy would absolutely dance with a girl if she asked him, because he wouldn't want to be be tormented by his schoolmates for the rest of ever. Not sure if Pateron let you know already, but one of the reasons the Russian plot is so prevalent is because the show takes places in the 1980s and back then there was nationwide concern of a possible pending nuclear war with Russia so this show kinda feeds into that a bit Great reaction though as always! The whole Will thing is extra sad when you consider that for a year of their childhood he was running for his life in the upside down, and then for another year he was battling with being possessed by the mind flayer. Of his entire friend group he’s the one who missed out on their childhood the most so it makes sense that he wants to hold on to that longer

This season takes place in the summer of 1985. Jonathan & Nancy are still in high school, the newspaper jobs are just internships. Steve is the only one of them who has graduated.😊
I can totally see what Vince means when talking about Hopper and him fighting off the Russian. It’s like you guys were saying, El’s strongest person in the show and she would be able to defeat the guy. It would make sense for Hopper to die but they wanted him to be alive and all of that.
