Random fact, at 16:30 at the intersection on the Blvd. of the Allies and Grant Street, you can see a red building with turquoise details on the roof, on the left hand side of the road. That is the last remnant of Pittburgh's Chinatown. Most of the Chinatown neighborhood was razed to build this on-ramp and intersection. It used to be a small but distinct part of the city.

Nice video of my home Pittsburgh aka Da Burgh, City of Bridges. alot of people don't know this but we may look small in population. But if you look at our city limit if it were expanded throughout the borrows and suburbs it would be at 1.25 million people. Though many of those places outside of the burgh consider themselves Pittsburghers anyway. And also the city is way more busier than this Mon-Sat this must of been a Sunday.

Fnord Fnordington that’s a joke. Mississippi and West Virginia are conservative run states and are the poorest and most rundown in the nation. Boston, Seattle, Portland and many states run by Democrats rank much higher than their republican counterparts in education, poverty rates, health, etc. I’m not saying they’re perfect but don’t be so biased. There’s shitty cities and states run by both Democrats and Republicans.

I was not expecting much but I was pleasantly suprised! What a charmingly beautiful city! When you read old books about Pittsburg you read about an industrial steel city and knowing now that industry has left lots of places I was expecting something like Downtown Detroit. Boy was I wrong! Id love to go there to visit one day!

The most scenic way to come into Pittsburgh is to drive down the parkway from Greentree and through the Fort Pitt Tunnels. The view of the city as you emerge from the tunnels is breathtaking. After driving around in the city head up to Mount Washington which overlooks the city. It's a beautiful panoramic view of Pittsburgh which is better than a lot of cities.

I moved from Pittsburgh 30 years ago and this virtual visit is very nice. It is clean and beautiful, but it is quite sad to see the Downtown Kaufman’s with covered up windows, no Hornes Dept Store, and no Gimbels Dept Store. Going downtown at Christmas and roaming through those multi level Department Stores with their Christmas window displays and the Hornes’ tree and Jack Bogut’s Children’s Hospital Christmas fundraisers was a special part of growing up in Pittsburgh. I hope this was filmed on a Saturday because there are almost no people on the sidewalks. I remember the sidewalks to be very bustling with employees and shoppers on weekdays when I grew up and was in college.

Ha! Pittsburgh is one of the most challenging, closed minded, restricted, comepetive cities out their! Philly, NYC, if you creativity, imagination, drive, motivation, desire, and confidence you make it and enjoy the journey. Not Pittsburgh, hard work, depression, limitation. The city is extremely narrow minded. Not a lot of options a lot of requriements, lot of folks are not nice unless their family-oriented community based type. U didn't graduate college(I am in school right now and seeking my degree for personal and intelligneal growth etc.) you make it and won't be accepted. Now, Pittsburgh has great food, great musuems, nice concerts, great libraries, and lots of shops. History as well!. It's good to visit and do the cultural, museum tourist stuff or visit your old stomping grounds if from here but nah. Even tho we have a democratic mayor, the city is really conservative. Pittsburgh got trump elected. Philly is so better. Laid Back. Life's journey is the path. Pgh everybody has clicks. Tourmets and works themselves more than have to. And your suppose to be miserable, pgh mentality. Never wish anymore that. Social and Mental conditioning. I come home, visit, see family, friends, go site seeing I'm out!

Thank you J Utah for your wonderful video and write-up about one of America's greatest cities. Given the lack of business types on the streets, I'd say this was filmed on a weekend. Nonetheless, the Downtown has a nice vibe and presents itself better than most. I miss it everyday and hope to return there.
