Those people also suck. They are so concerned with filming shit to show the world they did something that they don't enjoy a real life experience. Pathetic if your ask me
I'm always conscious of the fact of how stupid it is to watch a show through your phone screen when the action is live and in person just the other side of that screen but..I'll be damned if I'm not gonna at least get some of it , usually I'll pick one song and snap a pic or two....I mean I've bought countless Hendrix or Stevie Ray Vaughn performances on DVD, before youtube... our phones hold memories like photo albums use to. I fucking WISH I had some p.o.v footage of all the Pantera or Ozzy shows we went to or how bout Layne Staley in a wheelchair on the DIRT tour. No way I could be mad at somebody for recording that shit. But yeah put your fucking phone down people. You can watch somebody else's footage later online and in the meantime you're not 'that guy'
Zach my wife and I saw Tyler at the Indiana state fair last year before we even knew who he was. Cost us $2 each to get in. We’ve been in love with him ever since
Sturgill is by far my favorite artist. The fact that he’s a damn good artist by himself but also humble enough to get behind other guys and just kill it on guitar. True artist.
I'm a huge classic rock fan, Queen, AC/DC, Beatles, Stones, to name a few, but I was also brought up on classic outlaw country like Willie, Waylon, Merle, Johnny, and Kris, to name a few.I saw Willie in September 2018, and he was fantastic !Also on the bill with him was Tedeschi Trucks Band, Sturgill Simpson, and Lukas Nelson and Promise of the Real. What an amazing show !!! Each act was great, and they played better than the act before them !!!I'm so glad that Tyler Childers, Whiskey Myers, The Steel Woods, Colter Wall, Cody Jinks, and a few others, are keeping the classic roots of country alive !!!!
People today don’t like country music because they don’t know what it is. God bless you Mr. Childers and everybody else still making real country music.
Exactly. Really ain't been any country music (good country music) in at least 20 yrs. Until now. I didn't know too much about Sturgill, but as I'm finding out... Him and Tyler are just that dam good.
I put a lot of the blame on radio & cmt. The good ones just aren't given the opportunity & the audience can't find them. I live in the middle of nowhere and if it wasn't for luck, I never would've found these guys. Luckily, my recommendations from Google have found some great bands but it feels lucky because I was getting really tired of the same things being pumped out.
I think it's great how humble Sturgil is being and not trying to come up front and show off or take a little of the spotlight he's really keeping this Tylers moment. Obviously people see him and know but when he starts jamming he's doing his thing but in a very respectful way. 99% if all others would walk up front and ask for the attention, not here.
Booger Balls Come on man, saying that Sturgill is trying to be anything like Waylon is just crazy, the dude is so true to his own style and is absolutely so original I’ve never understood the whole “he’s trying to be Waylon” argument. Such a unique sound and is absolutely doing what he wants. The only thing I could think of him and Waylon having in common is their “I’m gonna do what I wanna do and how I wanna do it attitude”
It almost scares me to see these two on the same stage. True country talent is so scarce these days that I would hate to see a freak accident wipe out a large percentage of it.
@@9mmDentalPlan One of my favorite new outlaws! My favorite song by him has to be "Kate McCannon." Gives you chills if you hear the live version of the song. God bless him and all the TRUE artists that keep this down-to-earth music alive.
Tyler and sturg... don't get much better... true talent.. sad these guys don't get the credit they deserve. Gotta wear girl jeans and sing rap to make it in today's country music bull crap.
Colter Wall and The Dead South too! A bit partial to Luke Combs as well; that man is a true poet and has a great voice. Not the same level as Chris Stapleton (who I think is much better), but Luke actually writes his own songs and uses only his own voice in his songs. No auto-tune. Only Aaron Lewis and Cody Johnson I can say the same for.
Piss on FGL.....This is country music to the core . To see these two on the same stage ....you've been blessed for sure. Love to see Tyler and Jamey Johnson do a jam session.
Some of Eastern Kentucky's finest!! Tylers vocals and Sturgill flat wearing it out on guitar!! Thanks for sharing! The Food Stamps are a top knotch band!!
Just finding out about Tyler and his tunes. Love it down here in south Louisiana with the fire pit going and a few drinks. Now I see why the electric guitar licks sounded familiar. Sturgill ! Great stuff. Peace to all
This video was my introduction to Tyler. I had been watching a lot of Sturgill videos and this popped up. Obviously I was amazed and had to find more. Found Hard Times video from Red Barn radio and I was hooked. 3 years in a row my top Artist on Spotify not mention the countless hours watching his RUclips videos. Just wish he was playing bigger venues so I could afford the tickets.
Just as Awesome as when he showed up unexpectedly on SNL to play with Chris Stapleton. Only Sturgill actually has a dog in this fight. He produced Tyler's last album. Awesome !
When George Jones asked " Who's Gonna Fill Their Shoes"? We finally have some folks worthy. Two of em are on that stage. I would also add Colter Wall, Benjamin Todd, Cody Jinks, Jamey Johnson. Making Country Music Great Again
I just found out about Tyler a few months ago, and the only thing I can say is DAMN! This man is amazing and I can't wait to see him live in December. This particular song and video is unbelievable....
I like that both Simpson and Childers can play lead, beyond being great singers. Learning how to sing is hard, but being able to solo too is even more difficult

FANTASTIC. These guys should team up with Cody Jinks, Whitey Morgan, Stapleton and others to do a modern day HIGHWAYMEN group tour and album! And I wish this version was on Spotify. (BTW must be 40 Florida Georgia Line fans who disliked this video.)

That's not a bad analogy at all
Yep!!!!
Actually the steel guitar work on this record sounds a lot like the steel guitar sound Waylon Jennings favored.

The way Tyler looks at the drummer during Sturgills solo says: can we keep him?
Not even Sturgill can keep Sturgill, once hes labeled as something he effs off and does something different... keep em on they toes
REAL country is alive in the veins of Tyler Childers and his mates!
