T-bone your the man! This dude has set up more bow and arrow set up than swift has followers 😂! But seriously he knows his shit and we love ya brother 🦌
Do not WANT TO BE lil brother. Get out there AND BE !! You can do anything you put the mind body & sole into. An reminder to be an do good surround yourself with with that. Because in the world that’s how you will be looked at and it’s wrong. But it’s true
Thanks could use all the help I can get I’m a newbie at this just bought my first bow have to get it set up then I’ll need arrows and broadheads thanks again
You should give more details on what happens when you adjust it with no tension and give us a demo plus all the info on what could happen when things go wrong for all the people who don’t know anything about triggers and compound bows
Do some reading. Stop saying i wish. You can know just as much as him or even more. He was very false about telling people to do a full wrap around the trigger when shooting guns.
Met T Bone in Syracuse NY a few years back, he was the nicest person to chat with and we could have talked hunting all night long.. The fortunate folks who can call him “friend” have a good one indeed. Hope the recent health issues subside.🙏
As a firearms instructor, I can tell you that you DO NOT want a "full wrap" with your trigger finger. This will cause you to pull unevenly into the trigger. The uneven pull will cause right-handed shooters to shoot left, and vice versa. He is correct that you should pull straight back on the trigger.
I just shoot. My trigger is so light you just barely touch it and it goes off. It took me a while to get used to it. But I like it. Just line up the shot and bump it. Alot more accurate. I went to traditional archery. That made my compound a no brainer. I would encourage everyone to try it. It increased my shooting by alot. I have broken more knocks with traditional than I every did with a compound. Now putting arrows dead on and know when I pull off with compound. Get lots of practice and make shure you have a good anchor point.
When shooting a firearm you should always use the pad of your finger to slowly squeeze the trigger back. Not full wrap and definitely don't jerk. I'm not much of a bow guy so maybe it's different. I know how to shoot a gun tho.
Forget the rifle/pistol comment. He is correct about the release. You should never actually click off your release with your index finger. It’s you pulling back that breaks the trigger over. Your accuracy will improve greatly.
Dam tbone i went to a realise 14 years a go past 2 i got trigger panic pull my finger never thought of that i will give it a try ty and love you tips .
never been able to use a trigger release i get to trigger happy. i worked on it for years when i’m shooing at something deer or just target. always have had to use a thumb release it’s funny bc i’m actually a really good shot when it comes to guns but as soon as i get a trigger release on my bow. i’m a newbie again lol
I’ve never really understood the idea of pulling with your back muscles to release the shot. Your finger and back muscles are separate you can use your back muscles without your finger. You have to use your finger to break the shot. Scientifically speaking the muscle groups are separate.
All these comments about not wrapping the trigger on a rifle.. have you tried it? Like actually spent some hours at the range trying to see if there's anything to learn from it? Probably not. It might not be the best technique for everyone, but it's not bad advice to give it an honest effort. You might surprise yourself. I did.
I don’t know man the trigger on my releases about four or 5 ounces that thing goes off with a duck flies by and farts. I don’t think wrapping my finger all around that particular sensitive trigger makes any difference at least with my trigger anyway.
I shoot plenty fine with just catching the tip on it and your right it’s not like shooting a rifle or pistol that’s why I barley catch it to surprise me when it goes off like it’s supposed to
Watch john dudley, Levi Morgan, Chris bee. They all have informative videos, and they have actually been shooting tournaments, and 3d comps for like 20 years.
T-bone, I f’n love u dawg. Great info as always. If you’d have been givin me these videos 25 years ago I’d be a lot further ahead, ha. These youngsters don’t know how good they got it.
When shooting a gun you don’t want to have a “Full” wrap.
The meat of the tip segment of the index finger.
-ex competitive long range shooter.
Exactly.
You beat me to it.
I was thinking there’s nothing similar shooting a bow like a rifle. Totally different.
@@AktroutGuy well one can think that way
Prayers for you sir. Fellow cancer survivor here. Your positive attitude through adversity is inspiring. Stay strong brother!!
Did anyone else get Forrest Whitaker face when he said "if you are shooting a rifle or a pistol you want a full wrap."
Just seen this video and immediately came to the comments to make sure I wasn't the only one
Bone, you are the man my friend, been watching you and waddie for years. God bless you and have a great season.
Made a world of difference for me. I saw Dudley pointing out the full wrap with your finger. It really helped me.
Thank you for the advice.
It's often the simplest thing that I overlook especially when the shot really counts.
Going to practice that this evening.
Love the all the information that you love to hear from you
Nice tip with the back thing. That would help even without a trigger. Thanks
Thanks bone ! Great Advice 👍 I've had the same release for 10yrs ..I never think about it like that ...Cheers Bro
Thank You Travis.👍👍
T-bone your the man! This dude has set up more bow and arrow set up than swift has followers 😂! But seriously he knows his shit and we love ya brother 🦌
You’re the best, Travis!
Have been watching you since I was a kid you and Michael have made my love for bow hunting better.
I always find myself going back to the basics with shooting. So important
Very good advice! Thank you 🙏
No it isnt lol. You never do a full wrap on any gun when pulling the trigger. Ever.
Never full wrap a gun trigger it will make you pull to the right or left depending on what hand you shoot with
False.
You only want the very end joint on your finger to be across
@@j.johnson8360what part? Cause fingertip is correct 100%
@@j.johnson8360he’s 100 percent right. You want to have the pad of your index finger on the trigger. Never full wrap.
T-Bone got it goin on til the brreak-o-dawn! Good job brother!
I love ya T-Bone ! Met ya a few times and dont listen to these know it alls on here . Your example was great on the trigger wrap .
Man this is why I love a T Handle thumb trigger release. It makes it easier to shoot this way.
T-bone when I grow up I wanna be just like you my friend.. good luck this season

I wish I knew half as much about archery as Sir T-Bone.... Thanks for the pro tip. That's one of my many form issues.

I'd love to make the trip, and go to the 1 day Travis Turner archery school! Lol

Tbone always with great guidance
Thanks Brother T Bone!
Who doesn't love a good t-bone tutorial, good stuff.
Thanks TBone for the video
Thanks for the tip T-bone
We all love t bone iv been watching him since i was 5
T-bone is a true treasure of the archery and outdoor world!
Great tutorial! Technique is key! What trigger release is that?
It's a truball release
Of course doctor 😮. Nice form
Thanks T-bone!
I will try that for sure. God Bless
The Master T Bone!! We love you dude.

T-Bone - How are you doing man?? I hope the treatments have worked. You look great.
I just imagined that arrow going through a wall and someone screaming in the background 😂
You tell em Travis
You the man T-Bone
Love this dude....
Full wrap on a rifle trigger causes the bullet to move right
Or left bro
Wrong
@@j.johnson8360 stop just saying wrong and tell us why. Its a fact dude lol
Are you still in LaGrange Ga.?
Man looks like a compound shooter.
Dam tbone i went to a realise 14 years a go past 2 i got trigger panic pull my finger never thought of that i will give it a try ty and love you tips .
Good video!
never been able to use a trigger release

When eating remember to push back from the table once in a while so it's not to have diabetes remove your foot 🦶
😂 he hunts at Walmart out of a motorized cart
how much weight can those handle before they just snap open from to much weight?
You’re the man!
I think if your smacking the bullseye everything then what's it matter how you shoot
Hey man good tip thanks
T bone shoots a wrist strap like a literal robot 😅 better form on the follow through than like 99% of us
Thanks dad

Yo T Bone what release do you recommend? Cuz your input would be greatly appreciated. Thank you for the shooting tip as well

All around great guy
The man!! The legend!
It’s always good to get a little tip here and there
I like to shoot selfbows, and spot and stalk . Never really got into compounds.
Good for you...

Good info T
Thank you
Great tips I have never heard about pulling through the shot. Very cool!
Watch john dudley, Levi Morgan, Chris bee. They all have informative videos, and they have actually been shooting tournaments, and 3d comps for like 20 years.
Nice, I’m a new hunter, so this one’s goin in the crank-bank.
What range finder are you using?
When firing a gun, do you want to use a little pad at the end of your finger so you can pull the trigger straight back you never wrap your finger
Man that joker's super quiet brother.
Are you continuing the pull after the shot to keep the direction the same or does it not matter? Ive never shot a bow
Took me a month of punching the trigger to learn that lesson.
What kind of peep sight do you use?
When shooting a fire arm it’s just the tip of the index finger on the trigger
Thanks
I’ve tried to pull through the shot like Tbone said but I just can’t do it. Anyone else have that problem?
T-bone, I f’n love u dawg. Great info as always. If you’d have been givin me these videos 25 years ago I’d be a lot further ahead, ha. These youngsters don’t know how good they got it.
As soon as he said you want a full wrap I knew this guy is talking out his ass lol
You definitely don't know what he, or you, are talking about.
Meaty portion of the tip of your index finger. Inhale exhale slow steady squeeze at the end of exhale
Great tip! But rifle is very different, you actually want the very tip of your finger with rifle.
thanks t bone
Dam right T bone the way I was taught by my coach can’t hammer it as easy that’s for sure
My finger game is on a whole different level!!!!!
U should actually use the middle fingerprint on the trigger...that way u actually pull back straight and not on an angle
Hope ur doin well ole boy...
also important to have one that has no travel.
To really solve this issue,
Just use a thumb release.
That Hoyt is super quiet brother
Am I the only one who thought he was standing up the whole time😂
Thats why i use a thumb release
