Unique design for sure. I can see the lid being a problem when I pull the wallet out of my tight-ish jeans front pocket. Also, the hinge will be a long term issue. I agree that the lid catching on the notes and wallet edges will get really annoying. I still use my Axess Front Pocket wallet from when it was a Kickstarter project back in 2015/16! My current tan one is my second, though the original blue one holds my hunting license. I preferred a more traditional color. That wallet is ultra slim and has been perfect to carry lots of cards (15!), paper, bills, a photo, etc. I love it and it never seems to wear out, despite daily carry over many, many years. Not checked Tomas Erickson's latest designs though.
I’m the same. I love unique wallets. I ordered a Grail Wallet in the dark cognac brown right after you briefly showed it in a previous video and I love it. Been carrying it since I got it. Attiq does a great job, the stitching is spot on, and it holds everything I need in a tiny and beautiful package. He was also great to communicate with and very personable.
Really kool design out of the norm but agree that flap could be trouble. Just received the Popov Leather Whiskey-Oatmeal 5 Card and love it. Smells awesome and that leather is amazing. Beautiful color. I guess I’m more of a traditionalist as far as my wallets are concerned.
we are very confident in the longevity of this design and offer a lifetime guarantee (refund or replacement) in case of structural failure. we have been carrying prototypes for over a year and the hinge is exactly the same as it was in the first week. Even we were surprised how well it holds up but it makes sense when you use it as there is no strain whatsoever on the hinge when the wallet is closed so 95%+ of the time the hinge isn't experiencing any flex.
yep, just glued. Bare in mind that there is no real strain on it, there is only some flex once the wallet is opened which will be less than 5% of the time. Its hard to explain without having the wallet in hand but the support strip is more to create a boxy shape that doesn't deform over time, the support for the hinge is a happy bonus.

I think that hinge point becomes a problem.
That full grain leather hinge should last just as long as any another flap on wallet
