Just an old fashioned unboxing video of the DJI Mavic Mini 2 or should I say DJI Mini 2 as they have dropped "Mavic" from the name. The DJI Mini 2 has several new enhancements such as Ocusync 2.0, 4K video, 100 MB bit rate, a new controller, and many other new features. This is a pretty impressive drone for the size and price. The mini 1 was the drone I had my eyes set on since you don't have to register, but when you released your wish list for the mini 2 I decided to wait. All the updates aside usb c is the one I was most excited for. The mini 2 is absolutely going to be my first proper video drone. Looking forward to your beginners guide. As someone who knows nothing about flying a drone it's going to be a huge help.
Bought mine on Tuesday and it is worth the upgrade. Went +6000 ft distance in what seemed in an instant with NO connectivity issues or lag in 4k video. Trust me get one if your thinking about it. Worth the money!!!

@@AirPhotography thank you! I think I’m going to have to upgrade. I use my mini on motorcycle trips and more than a few times wind has been an issue. I love the small size and that, as an American, I can use it in Canada. But the high wind warnings and bad shots due to wind are very annoying. I’d step up to the air 2 but I gotta stay under the magical 250 grams.

Super cool! And great video. Wish I knew the mavic mini 2 had a much better camera than the mini. I might return it and upgrade to this model instead since I’ve only had the mini for about a week. Just wish the battery charging hub also acted as a portable battery pack. That would just be the cherry on top!

Could you please do a video on the battery maintenance and discharging/storing them? I heard that the dji batteries require some attention for care. Coming from a GoPro that seems a little confusing 😔
Lastly I wish you could open the case full 180. I'm finding my opening cover very rigid. And it only seems to go up to 60 degrees.

One question, would an ipad mini fit in the bag?
I just got mine today. I ordered the Fly more bundle. Nothing came pre charged so now I am charging the remote and the batteries. I know this is in the specs but it's only an issue because I have to charge everything and they only give you one USB-c charging cable. These aren't cables everyone necessarily has around the house. It would have been nice if they spent another dollar and put a second cable in the box especially with the fly more bundle.

Definitely prefer the green lights on the controller over the white lights, even though it doesn't really matter. If I can get someone to buy my air 1, then I'll get the air 2, but the mini 2 looks good as well. Great video
Definitely the green lights will make it easier to see outside during the day.
Can you link the Smith&Wesson unboxing knife please? It seems to be of quality, I ordered a paracord neck knife from them thinking it would be good because of the well known Smith&Wesson name but it turned out to be a 3rd party licensed dull made in china knife so I‘m looking for replacement

New Version of Mini 2 issue: Hi Shawn...Today (Friday) I flew the DJI Mini-2 with the Newer Ver of the OS. When I was in Hover Mode I did not see the ""Little Pointed Tip" at the bottom of the DJI-Fly App, its just not there. I fly in Cine Mode most of the time. I switched to "Normal Mode" and its still missing. The Zoom function in Photo Mode was fine but I do miss that little "Arrow Pointer" that shows the Drone Heading and what looks like a Spray path to determine my location to the Drone. Have you got any comments from other uses of the New Version 1.02 about this feature missing?? . Can you test that a well and see if its just me? I use the Standard Grey Controller. Let me know please. You have way more experience with the Mini-2 and appreciate your feed back..Ron

Just got mine, seems great but I hate that softcase already. Seems unfit for getting carried on rough trails in a backpack. It''s more like dad do a little flight in the park on a calm Sunday.

Yes I think it will be sufficient for most people. When everything is packed inside there’s still some extra space for some accessories or perhaps other small gear you need to bring

I ordered mine on Amazon And they were offering it with next day delivery. I did put a link to the Canadian Amazon in the description of the video. Some Best Buy’s did have them in stock, but a lot of them are sold out now

I have an actually flown it yet I just received it today tomorrow I’m heading out to do my first flight send some testing. But when I can say so far is I love how small and portable this is. It’s gonna be a great little travel drone

the Mavic air 2 was perfect for me upgrading from a spark, but I got turned off because I don't really want to get a license in Canada, but I will eventually study

I got this drone for my birthday a few months ago.
I'm a beginner pilot and this drone is definitely a good one to get my feet wet into the hobby. Because I'm not FAA licensed and only fly for hobby purposes, I've only flown it in my backyard, but it's very easy to fly. My only complaint is that I wish it could take off just by pushing up on the left thumstick on the controller instead of having to use the "take off" button in the app, just feels weird for some reason.

You do realize that u can take off like that right. All u have to do is put ur control sticks down and in to start the motors and then u can takeoff using the left stick.

Will a phone in a case fit into those controller arms? I am seriously considering this IF it does.
I use an apple silicone case and it fits in with no issue. However I have read that thicker case is like an OtterBox will not fit

Otterbox does take the cake for being thicc 🤣 but thankfully my case isn't anywhere close to being like an Otterbox but it is drop resistant. But I can't mount my phone onto my Pocket or onto my OM2, or with the controller when I had my Spark.

Ask them for the air 2 first, then when they see the price ask them for the mini 2. Also, the air 1 is also a really good DJi drone.
Show them a more expensive dji drone then say but this ones cheaper and it’s about the same if you buy a cheap one it won’t last long or do good
