"Avatar: Frontiers of Pandora features a stunning alien world to explore with a refreshingly uncluttered approach to navigation, countless enemy bases to destroy and Na’vi clan sidequests to complete, and no shortage of exotic flora and fauna to harvest and hunt. However, its combat is pretty one-dimensional, its mission design is a bit on the repetitive side, and its environment is generally lacking in any major surprises beyond visual splendor, meaning that Avatar: Frontiers of Pandora is a solid shooting adventure that’s more inside the box than truly out of this world." - Игры
Ubisoft needs to take a leap of faith and let its developers try something new. New ideas, a 5 years project.. anything new
...This was their 5-year project.
Yeah that would be nice. They have so many extremely talented animators, coders and artists. And yet they are held back so much.
No they need to fire all their devs
@@seaofrage Yeah OP comment is great they need their GTA. And this comment is great too. They do have great animators coders and artists, and they dont have any bad designers, because they dont have any GAME designers!
The teams are definitely talented, but their game-play loops are stale and outdated
Sounds like everybody is in agreement that the game reuses the Ubisoft formula faithfully without inventing anything new or exciting, except this time it's on Pandora. Then the scores diverge depending on how sick the reviewer is of the Ubisoft formula and how interested they are in the world of Avatar.

Picked up Avatar Frontiers of Pandora on PS5 and man the graphics are absolutely stunning! It’s the first game since Horizon Forbidden West that has blown me, the world of Pandora is so lush, the natural environment, lighting is top notch. Nice 👏 😊
The enemy ai is rubbish, the gameplay is like every other ubisoft game....
Damn! You’ve had not only one but two games blow you by the sounds of it. I’m yet to get to second base like that
Such a shame they make these enormous worlds with hardly anything worth finding or doing in them besides going from point A to A and collecting same old resources,
I'd rather have a smaller map with more hand crafted stuff and locations, tons of meaningful stuff to find collect to make game better etc.
That would be so much better.
Like Skyrim, the Witcher 3, or red dead redemption2. All three unique open worlds yet all three nailed the every inch of the open world was enticing u to explore it almost always leading to something rewarding in the form of a INTERESTING side story, SPECIAL loot, etc. All open world games should model themselves after any of these 3 and “fetch quests” need to die a horrible death never to be seen in any game ever again.

It's a Ubisoft game. Everybody called it right from the very first reveal trailer, it's Far Cry blue. This would've been a massive hit 10 years ago, sadly Ubisoft is perpetually stuck in 2013.
Ubisoft's character details and animations really need an update.
Both this game and recent titles such as AC Mirage suffer from a noticeable lack of graphic fidelity.

They nailed the graphics and atmosphere. Honestly, the graphics are the best thing about this game. Everything else is just average about it.
Every Unreal 5 game looks like that...Ubisoft only cares about graphics and boring cutscenes they are so disappointing
Beautiful game marred by lackluster combat and bad ai. This game could have been something special and it shows while playing it from your character feeling like a giant in human areas down to your movements but to many times it stops just short at being great. To the landscape being downright surreal in places. But things like bows being as loud as an antimaterial rifle alerting everyone within a mile where you are to enemies stumbling around in the same back and forth area seeming to have endless bullets to spray the forest in no particular direction. Also so far the story is very by the numbers.
Why no third person mode 😡
Why is it FIRST PERSON Jesus they blew
They got rid of all the bloated map markers which makes this a completely diff experience from a exploration perspective
So the game is just like the movie: visually stunning, aesthetically gorgeous, and agressively average in every other way

Seems like perhaps they missed the boat not having you inhabit an Avatar like in the film, giving you a chance to decide at the end to stay or go. Also, the gameplay elements you could have human only missions, etc. Idk.
In all previous avatar games you play as an avatar, so at least it feels fresh.
The original Avatar game was way better than this. 2 campaigns RDA and Navi based on your choices, but this game just seems PC as hell, barely anyone in the modern gaming industry has the stones to make an actual dark and gritty narrative through choice.
@@battlefieldpro12345agreed the original was phenomenal but ig it reviewed badly? No clue why bc you had actually choice in that game and could go down the bad human path which was just fun in the setting of the world - and hey if you wanted to be Navii you had that there too

You do realise that most of the criticisms are because it is a ubisoft game and people are just tired of the same formula. It’s not that the game is bad, it’s just the repeated formula is leading to reviewers then feeling like it’s more of the same. If you are an avatar fan and don’t play many ubisoft games, i’m sure this game will feel amazing
That Nickelback dig at 7:42 had me dead

8:30 cover is difficult. Those are plastic tubs and would provide no protection at all. However the game needs to be clear about what is and isn’t cover

''This just illustrates that up to a point graphics don't matter'' really if that where so games would all look like Fortnite
Ubisoft knows how to make a very beautiful game. That being said a lot of their games lack the “fun” factor which is what should be priority #1
yeezus why not release a VR mode of this game. This would be insane on the Quest 3 or PSVR2.
This should be a third person game
Crazy how obsessed Ubisoft is with no innovating. They're allergic to trying anything that isn't a formula they made 10 years ago. They just coast in pre-existing IP to do all the work.
Check other reviews. They clearly say this is very innovative, focused more on exploration rather than shooting enemies. They do have some new mechanics plus it's first person. But to each his own man, people will never be happy anyway.
