My guess (and this will probably blow PerspectiveEnd's stack) this a pretool for Animated Sari sold through Hasbro Pulse. I'm glad about the size. I don't think her head snapping off is a big risk. Yeah his face is exceptionally strange. His mouth doesn't look like a mouth, just like a hole in his face.
1 year later and I finally got a replacement. I got Arcee when she originally came out but she was miss manufactured and the rear tire parts were the exact same (both half’s were the kick stand portion) meaning that the pegs couldn’t line up correctly when trying to bring the half’s together. I called Hasbro who said they didn’t have Arcee in stock but as soon as they got one they’d send a replacement. It never came! Eventually I returned Arcee but never saw her on the shelf again. I saw road rocket & laser cycle but that was it. Then last week walking down the aisle I saw an Arcee front and center on the peg. I immediately grabbed her, by passing the strong arm, blitzwing, and galvatron(repack) that have been sitting for months to a year now.
In here we own our prospective end who wants quoted give me chrome eyes or give me death does anyone have anything to say before we conclude this funeral for this hero of a man
I hate to think this, but I wonder if Hasbro doesn't make a "perfect" rendition of these figures so they can keep milking us with progressively slightly better figures over time.
I think it's more just they compromised the hell out of this thing so they would have to change like NOTHING to make any retools. New head, new colors, another 25 bucks please.
I kinda wanted this figure since I missed Prime First Edition, and I like it more than I thought. It’s far from perfect, but the transformation is wack in a good way, and the bike mode is quite nice. I was worried that her torso didn’t tab in anywhere, but after learning how it clicks together I’m happy with her. Part of me wishes she was Core class for scaling. Though I’ve recently learned my copy is misassembled: the right leg’s strut between the knee joint and the shin is the same piece as the left leg’s, meaning it doesn’t tab in and only stays by friction. It thankfully doesn’t flop at all, it’s decently serviceable and doesn’t impede articulation, but it still slightly rubs me the wrong way.
I'm going to leave you with this, as someone who grew up with Prime. TFP Arcee is one of my favorite characters from across all of TF media, but her previous toys have never really clicked with me. The design already doesn't lend itself well to a transformation, as it has mass shifting parts and a way too clean robot mode. But this figure works for me. It has the same amount of kibble as her previous figures, but the added bulk to the design helps blend it in. The RED figure is already perfectly screen accurate, so I'll take the well transforming redesigned version alongside it. RED was made to do TFP designs, as a lot of those design hated being toys except for a handfull and that's only because 3 of said handful are based directly on the movie 1 designs.
Here's the thing, this one could have been perfect I think. Just fix the sculpt, and it would have been the ultimate Primecee figure. There's nothing preventing this from having a more accurate sculpt other than they just didn't.
@@PerspectiveEnd And they didn't because that's not the point. The PRID deluxe would already still be more accurate even if the sculpt on this was made to be accurate. Again, you're acting blindsided, the redesign was exactly what was expected and what we got. It's exactly like the Kingdom Beast Wars figures, you're expecting MP level accuracy from figures intending to have realistic beast modes. For legacy they're taking the designs and remaking them to all fit together aesthetically, as a random TFP character in a line surrounded by squared off G1 characters and anime esc UT figures wouldn't mesh. And not only that, but look at the Prime fans now that the figure is being reviewed. The tune has gone from absolute betrayal to "Oh, neat redesign for a fun figure." So you can't blame Hasbro for deciding to make an overall better looking figure when just making it accurate would still have people going "The old one is better" regardless. They took the move to go in an artistic liberty direction, AS IS THE POINT OF THE LINE, and rather judge the new design on it's own merrits you're just shitting on it for daring to be unique. And during Autism Awareness no less. Hasbro knows that with their current business model they wont make better figures than most of the toys from Prime. There's only a handful of figures from the original line that don't look anything like the show models and actually legitimately require updates. And again, this is the ENTIRE line. For fucks sake Arcee isn't the only character who's been redesigned. Dragstrip's entire torso is wrong. Iguanus is a completely new take on the design. Laser Prime has the completely wrong legs and has moved the missile launcher from his trailer to his shoulder pads. And he has a Matrix. And he doesn't have the dumbass flashy stickers that completely ruin the whole "Robots in disguise" thing. And Bulkhead is literally just G1 Bulkhead. Accuracy isn't everything. Hell honestly it isn't all that much of an objective quality on a figure. Transcraft Beetle (MPM BBM Bumblebee) is "The most accurate transforming BBM Bumblebee" on the market, but it uses faux parts, has major build quality issues, has a transformation that sucks ass to do, and has the worst alt mode out of every MPM Bumblebee. Where as this figure is the polar opposite. It's not accurate to TFP Arcee, it's not trying to be because that's the entire design language of the line, but it has a good transformation. Hey, guess what, if you want a slavishly accurate TFP Arcee and don't give a shit for anything else then get RED Arcee. If this figure is oinly hated for how the robot mode looks and nobody cares for any other aspect of the figure then RED Arcee is already available. Same thing for RED Knockout. Just shut the fuck up about figures that are supposed to have redesigns not being accurate to a design that already has a recent and faithful design.
I absolutely love this figure, one of my first figures was the first edition arcee so I’ve always loved this blue motorcycle. This figure sure has its issues but I love it. The energon shield can be put into her hands so you can make them almost exactly like her original arm blades, I’m still super confused how you clipped the wheels behind on her back though lol, great vid with many valid points!
What do you mean clipped the wheels behind her back. And how are you making them like her arm blades. I don't see what you could do differently than what I did to change the way they look.
@@PerspectiveEnd I was messing around with my Arcee and I managed to find out how ya did it, totally missed the port behind her neck. And do you have Instagram? I just made a post showing how I used the energon shields, if you want I could tell ya the @
Did you know that in Transformers Kingdom ep 1 When the Ark was processing a massive data upload. one of the multiple visions of the future shows Menasor. predicting that he'll appear in Legacy.
3:43 Oh so THAT'S what RED Arcee is based on. Seems TFP Arcee and Beast Wars Dinobot share issues with their barely pink colourings. Though while I don't think Dinobot would mind his sword being Pink, Arcee has mentioned a distaste for the colour.
Is it, I don't even know if that's official artwork. If feel like Dinbot would mind, not because he's afraid of pink, but I feel like he'd want his sword in as pristine a shape and color as possible, as a warriors pride thing. And a Gleaming White sword is mandatory for that.
@@PerspectiveEnd Right but what would make his sword turn pink? Nobody in Beast Wars bleeds, not even their organic components which... seems like they should if they're working off Terminator logic for the beast mode coatings. His sword only looks pink due to changes in lighting.
@@PerspectiveEnd also I've got to add You said the pink on this figure is more pink than the show, but then go on to say that the pink is muted enough to pass off as silver like it was in the show. So... I don't get it, which one is it? Is it too pink, or the muted pink?
@@NexusProductions-rz1sv I didn't mean to say that this one was too pink, I was saying that like all her other figures tend to saturate the hell out of her accents. This is probably in the general vicinity of being as pink as it was shown to be in the show. But if I was making it, I would have forgotten it was ever pink and just made it silver.
As for not wanting to call TFP Arcee Arcee because she doesn't look like the G1 design... It's not G1 Arcee. In the same way Doc Oct can vary in appearance wildly in the spiderverse, so does Arcee in the Transformers multiverse. The variation and reinvention of the design and characters between continuities is what keeps the franchise fresh, and this has been a thing since G1. But hey, here's some trivia. So we all can tell the First Edition Arcee figure is based on concept art, right? Having the headlight chest, no wings, and those shoulder pads. She also actually used to be white and pink, but the colours were changed as Arcee became more fleshed out as a character during development as the bright colouring felt deceptive to her character. Plus Jack's motorcycle was supposed to have a more broad appeal, to make the character Vance jealous, and slick metalic blue motorcycles look good to everyone.
What I'm saying is there's a level of confusion there that doesn't have to be since they are such distinct characters sharing a VERY particular name. And I'm not saying it's going by looks. Like IDW Arcee probably needs her own name too, but you could just call her Pyschocee. I know literally nothing about First Edition Arcee, so that all went right over my head.
@@PerspectiveEnd Alright... Well I'm a distinct character, and I have a common name, and nobody has ever taken issue with calling me by my name. Hell, through school there was another guy in most of my classes who had the same name as me and, again, two people sharing a name has never been an issue. Ok... Then call her TFP Arcee. And call G1 Arcee G1 Arcee. It's not that difficult. Actually I think we wnt over this already, didn't we? G1 Cee, Ener-Cee, TFArcee, BayCee, ICeeW, TFPCee, BumbleCee, CyberCee, ROTCee, LegaCee. Google image search is a wonderful thing, isn't it? For real, though, I could have sworn that you've talked about APC Arcee which is a 1:1 KO of First Edition Arcee.
WOW They stuck the landing in my book, shakily and on one foot, but they landed. I am so glad this isn't as small as it looked, and I can't believe she doesn't come with the pistol she has on the Legacy artwork on the side of the box, its insulting that she comes with no real weaponry, guess I have a pistol missile thing from a siege figure I can give her, gotta grab this to go with bulkhead. Great review as per usual!!
After getting this figure I understand why people like it so much as a prime fan I give it a thumbs up .Also the front of the motorcycle is removable on mine to
Hopefully a third party company will give her proper arm blades. And I actually like Arcee more than Bulkhead because at least she’s more accurate but that might change once I get them in hand
Yeah I predicted the Road Rocket retool from a frame in the new Wreckers comic that showed him in the background with a very Arcee-esque appearance. Obviously I heard the rumor before from the community, but I think that panel basically confirmed it. I probably won’t get the eventual Road Rocket, but I will get the Arcee for sure. I really like the design, and it looks faithful enough to Arcee that I can look past the obvious flaws. She’ll probably be the one of the standouts of the first wave of Legacy.
I really need to review that at some point. It's OK. It looks way better than the Kingdom version, but it's not a Categorical upgrade, and it doesn't hold together at all.
i remember along time ago that you said that this wouldn't work as a road rocket and i believed you... until i read wreckers treads and circuits road rocket made a cameo appearance with the look alike mold that couldn't be a coincidence i mean leadfoot looked like kingdom mirage, while knock out looked like a heavy retool out of the ss86 jazz, clampdown looked like a repaint of seige sideswipe and hauler looked like the er grapple... i am starting to see a connection
Well that comic just came out, they obviously had images of the toy, and then made the comic look like it, because that's what Hasbro would mandate. The comic exists to cross promote the toys. So it's a revisionist take on him. They are inserting the new look in the fiction.
you ever gonna do the reissue optimus primal and tigatron? I dont expect a full review for the tigatron but a nice little section in the optimus review would be nice
Mine has a loss waste joint and the backpack comes off, but I like it. Not as much as bulkhead but still good. Also, I put the peg parts in the bottom of her hands. Don't know if you would like that but trust me it looks better there than on the forearms.
Personally, I think that human characters are a mix bag in Transformers, sometimes it works, and other times it doesn't. Cyberverse's story worked because it had no human allies, but other shows are better with them, like Animated
Should've glued the bloody front of the bike! Mine was missing the entire front of the alt mode out the box! I usually have good luck with QC but that is just ridiculous! And as far as I know, no one else has that problem. Now I have to wait till July for the replacement.
This is my first legacy figure hound it at target recently and I have to admit it’s better than I expected still have some problems like the two back panels are a bit hard to tap in at the end of the transformation yeah her weapons are not very good but She was honestly much better looking in person then in her promotional photos others are not really being able to rotate at the waist she’s really fun to pose for me. Was no expecting to like this figured as much as I did
@@PerspectiveEnd maybe it’s not far apart I mean but like, slightly smaller? I dunno, it looks like if I took the top crest of her head off the eyes would be touching each other but I don’t properly have the figure yet so maybe it’s the camera playing tricks on me
I don't really know, the figure looks like she'll feel great, but i'm not a fan of the "redesign" (in quotations for obvious reason) at all. So i guess that for me, it would be better to just hunt down second hand figure from the original line or the APC re-issue. And considering official Arcees, i'll probably just get the Bumblebee one and consider her my movie deffinitive version (sigh)
See I don't think this is a "Redesign" I think they just tried to generic up the sculpt so they could do the absolute minimum amount of of work when they retool it into a different character.
This is honestly way better than her Prime RID toy in every respect other than accessories and accuracy. I hope that like that figure, this becomes a Chromia
her tier weapon is tennis ball launcher and nothing will convence be otherwise. i dont like it but happy that side to side and ab crunch might be standerd.
Sure, the separated blades don't look awful on her arms. But can you put the circle in the wheel? (And wow, that's TWO Arcees coming with Energon weapons, this one her Energon blades, and the Earthrise her Energon pistol.)
And on that topic, I (given that it's just me here) tend to call the Prime/Aligned Arcee "Arcee II" just to differentiate her from her primary G1 counterpart. (However anyone wishes to look at Arcee II, be it as a clone, or an alt universe counterpart, or something else.)
Forgive me for sounding like a creep or something similar, but I can't believe the driver would also be looking at (Legacy) Arcee II's crotch(plate) while she's in her motorcycle mode.
-some part of the bot/vehicle mode go to the same place like core class iguanus, example : front of bike become backpack for both, the disk launcher thingy have option to become wing thingy in the back -the tire become wing thingy kinda simillar to g1 iguanas -also having the motorcycle tire as weapon just like g1 iguanas Is it possible prime arcee actually a pretool of deluxe size iguanus
I just got legacy bulkhead, I think it's a really great figure, in still sceptical of this, and am on the fence on whether or not I'll buy it, I'll get the eventual flamewar version
Recently I was able to get my hands on this figure (mostly out of curiosity for the mould, and because I like collecting varios incarnations of Arcee), and based on my experience with her I can conlude that she's a really nice over hated figure suffering from design compromises. Like her too short waist, leg kibble and certain parts not pegging in well enough. But honestly I'm pretty sure that the majority of the hate towards her is a result of her not being a one to one copy of the show's design. Since she obviously looks like tfp Arcee, just is not slavishly loyal to the original design (which is alright with every other series other than tfp, apperantly).
I remember that in the episode where Arcee saw Bumblebee in inverted colors for the first time she said that if she did that, she would be pink. That would mean that there had to be some pink on her design.
I mean she could just be saying that the opposite of blue is pink, it's not on a color wheel but blue is the color of boys and pink of girls.

Legarcee is a pun already standing in front of us.
Yeah but it only makes sense for this release of this figure, not for the character in general.
An barrel extension on the wheel weapon is a pretty cool idea, the wheels become weird drum magazines.

But it still wound up at decency.
Did you know that the r.e.d acree arm blades can go on the legacy arms
A few people have mentioned that. I have no Idea what I did with that hunk of crap's accessories though.
In here we own our prospective end who wants quoted give me chrome eyes or give me death does anyone have anything to say before we conclude this funeral for this hero of a man
I still stand bye that statement.
Light piping only works if it comes directly from the top
It was coming in directly from the top this whole video. it still didn't work.
7:32 oh dear lord why
Because I have thoughts, and I needed to inflict them on other people.
Ok
I like that you see this figure how i saw it from the begining
That it doesn't look like a Re-envisioning, just a botched sculpt?
I have a close friend who really wants a Flareup out of this mold and I hope that happens.
Also Energon Arcee maybe
It's entirely possible. I feel like there's going to be at least 3 retools of this.
Great review PerspectiveEnd!! I'm still on a G1 hype, so I will be using this figure as Solus Prime. lol :D Keep on being amazing.
7:31 Why would you put that thought in my head!?!
I"M SORRY!!!
It's okay
86 hot rods pizza cutter with her wheel THE CYCLE OF DOOM
Oh god I need to combine them.
I honestly thought it was gonna be a pre-tool for idw2 Flamewar. It really fits her proportions more.
It is. It obviously is. They are just doing the Roadrocket first, but mark my words they are going to do at least 3 different retools of this.
@@PerspectiveEnd And now it is official.
I don't even bother tabbing mine in. The friction holds well enough.
I've already mentioned I've softened on her. In fact, my opinion of her actually improves each time I handle her.
Yeah, she's way better than she looks at a distance.
I just made a post showing how I used the energon shields, if you want I could tell ya the @
@@arsenic774 I do not have an instagram, but I think I can still view stuff there right?
@@PerspectiveEnd I believe so, it should be arsenic779 or something like that, very recent post
7:32
I would call this: “self-cest”.
(But second variant sound’s better)
What second variant?
Did you know that in Transformers Kingdom ep 1
When the Ark was processing a massive data upload. one of the multiple visions of the future shows Menasor. predicting that he'll appear in Legacy.
I don't remember any kind of images associated with the visions of the future happening.
Dinobot’s sword and Prime Arcee with the silver/pink metal debate
Dinobots sword makes no sense in Pink. He's a Warrior, a pristine white sword is what they are known for.
Exactly, the Sword is white, and the pink sky reflecting off it makes it look pink some times.
@@PerspectiveEnd also I've got to add
You said the pink on this figure is more pink than the show, but then go on to say that the pink is muted enough to pass off as silver like it was in the show.
"Meat creatures who suck and ruin everything they touch," sounds.... oddly personal and heartfelt.
I mean I tend hate humans in the Transformers... That's about as deep as that goes.
WOW
They stuck the landing in my book, shakily and on one foot, but they landed.
Oh my God your right... How did I not notice that.
After getting this figure I understand why people like it so much as a prime fan I give it a thumbs up .Also the front of the motorcycle is removable on mine to
Yeah, it looks a little concerning from a distance but in hand it's pretty good.
1:21 This NEEDS to be a gif.
NOW
I don't know why I'm so dumb. I some how never put 2 and 2 together that you are the same Mariner from discord. I'm baffled at my own stupidity.
Hopefully a third party company will give her proper arm blades. And I actually like Arcee more than Bulkhead because at least she’s more accurate but that might change once I get them in hand
See but I think that gives Bulkhead a little cover. Bulkhead looks like if he got fit. Arcee looks like someone else is wearing her clothes.
Put it next to ER Arcee and its a micro masterpiece
Anything next to ERcee is a Micro Masterpiece.
6:16 hope it does become a standard
I do too.
She looks so mich better in hand than in the pictures like wow
Yeah, yet again the product photography fails them.
I'm impressed, I didn't expect her to be this good.
Neither did I. I thought for sure it was going to be a dumpster fire.
Yeah but where did the rumor start?
@@PerspectiveEnd that is the question I unfortunately can’t answer. Sorry 😢
Is the transform element rattrap any good?
7:33 -Perspective End 2022
I don't think of that as one of my most iconic lines my self.
If you plug the pegs of the "trashcan lid" lol under the fists like under slung. They look a little more like her original blades
Just got legacy blaster yesterday, and hot damn, that's a really good figure. He can even do the lamp post mode
But blaster doesn't have a lamp post mode.
Did you know you can combine the pizza shields can combine with blaster's um, blaster as an axe for er prime
I had not thought of that, but why are you giving it to the ER, the Legacy Prime could use yet another axe.
@@PerspectiveEnd I dunno, that's what Mark (the designer) did
I like the idea of turning non-g1 characters in the g1 style and design (like siege barricade) but damn, give us the traditional design first!
Agreed. Once they do accuracy, then they should do Reinterpretation.
If I “had” a choice for ether red arcee or this arcee
I would get red arcee
Man I do not advise that course of action. This poses better, and it actually transforms. And it has a great altmode.
@@PerspectiveEnd the key word is “HAD”
you ever gonna do the reissue optimus primal and tigatron? I dont expect a full review for the tigatron but a nice little section in the optimus review would be nice
It's funny you mention that, because in the very next video I mention it my self.
Apparently the RED Arcee's wrist blades are compatible with Legacy Arcee. So if you have that it's actually looks right
I do have that, but I have no idea what I did with it's crap.
Mine has a loss waste joint and the backpack comes off, but I like it. Not as much as bulkhead but still good. Also, I put the peg parts in the bottom of her hands. Don't know if you would like that but trust me it looks better there than on the forearms.
Mines backpack comes off for like no reason too, it's a bit annoying.
7:14
Sad TFA Prowl sounds
Never handled that thing, I have no idea what it's like.
This video makes want this arcee seeing the proportions aren’t the worst and because I’m not paying crazy eBay prices for the original
one of these days im gonna get the prowl figure and some how make that into prime arcee
Probably would work out better than this one, even if it's a dude mold.
Well it’s a Chromia mold now so maybe it could work?
Personally, I think that human characters are a mix bag in Transformers, sometimes it works, and other times it doesn't. Cyberverse's story worked because it had no human allies, but other shows are better with them, like Animated
Absolutely. Humans aren't always bad, some times they can even be goofy fun. Just look at Spike in G1. Boy had super powers and no one talks about it.
I wonder if someone will make an upgrade kit for this figure that will give her the correct head and the arm blades
I wouldn't be surprised in any way if that happens.
Well, At least we finally we get a good Arcee since the thrilling 30's one. Huge step since Earth rise!
It's better than the RED one for sure.
I would use the wheel as the pizza and the energon thing as the cutter
I thought that the wheel was an attack drone
You can treat it like one.
Glad I wasn't the only one to have trouble with the transformation at first.
Should've glued the bloody front of the bike! Mine was missing the entire front of the alt mode out the box! I usually have good luck with QC but that is just ridiculous! And as far as I know, no one else has that problem. Now I have to wait till July for the replacement.
Oh man that sucks. I think that probably would have been resolved by them putting a plastic window on the box though.
@@PerspectiveEnd No, that's my silverstreak's arm that got tampered with and now he can't transform right.
I like the addition of the nose too.
yeah the lack of noses is just annoying on Prime.
Was no expecting to like this figured as much as I did
I am shocked at how much better this thing is in hand than I expected.
the thing i do not like that they are going to use this mold for road rocket, and not flamewar
There is obviously going to be a Flame war built off this, it's going to happen, it's just not been leaked yet.
Honestly, if this figures eyes were a tiny bit further apart I’d probably love it. I might get it if it goes a tad on the cheap
They are already pretty far apart, why would them being further help some how?
@@PerspectiveEnd maybe it’s not far apart I mean but like, slightly smaller? I dunno, it looks like if I took the top crest of her head off the eyes would be touching each other but I don’t properly have the figure yet so maybe it’s the camera playing tricks on me
Feeling more optimistic for Knockout? This and Bulkhead are pretty solid imo.
Let's just hope they don't botch the look of the Knockout, like they did this.
7:32 selfcest, it's selfcest
Something like that.
@@PerspectiveEnd when i said, "in quotations for obvious reasons", i was referring to how you said that "it suffers from being a pre-tool"
It’s just a Flamewar Pretool
The body shape, the Energon Arcee kibble, the alt mode
It's a pretool of like a Half Dozen figures, Flamwar being only the coolest of them.
This is honestly way better than her Prime RID toy in every respect other than accessories and accuracy. I hope that like that figure, this becomes a Chromia
Other people were really talking up that Prime RID figure to me.
Actually to make the blades more accurate you can rotate the wrists and slap them on
So they'd be like on the underside of the arm? I don't think that will help with the way they look terrible.
her tier weapon is tennis ball launcher and nothing will convence be otherwise. i dont like it but happy that side to side and ab crunch might be standerd.
You just gave me a great laugh.
Wait a minute. The head is the issue, because its too small, making her chest seem oddly wide
Nah, I did a photoshop of it a while back and it's not that the chest is too wide. It's too tall. With more of a waist she looks a lot better.
Prime designs: got your nose
And they never gave it back.
I customized my Legacy Arcee to the Bumblebee Arcee and it looks MUCH better than the original color scheme.
I bet you this mold is going to be used as flamewar in generation selects
Oh that's 100% happening no question.
Yes, I have the PRID Arcee. (Minus the accessories.)
4:21 "Okay, death you shall receive."
(And for reasons, the ImcometenceDescreteWhorifics Arcee(s) do not exist in my world.)
Forgive me for sounding like a creep or something similar, but I can't believe the driver would also be looking at (Legacy) Arcee II's crotch(plate) while she's in her motorcycle mode.
-some part of the bot/vehicle mode go to the same place like core class iguanus, example : front of bike become backpack for both, the disk launcher thingy have option to become wing thingy in the back
-the tire become wing thingy kinda simillar to g1 iguanas
-also having the motorcycle tire as weapon just like g1 iguanas
Is it possible prime arcee actually a pretool of deluxe size iguanus
I think she's a Pretool of a lot of things. Ransack, Flamewar, Prowl. She could be that guy too.
what's the best arcee p2
That is a potential possiblity. Yes.
I just got legacy bulkhead, I think it's a really great figure, in still sceptical of this, and am on the fence on whether or not I'll buy it, I'll get the eventual flamewar version
I'm excited for the inevitable Flamewar.
Yeah this is not a bad figure. It's not a great one but it's fine.
