    I've been doing this too. I figured I just improved the valsalva for myself. Turns out it's the frenzel I've been using. Thanks mate!!

    So helpful thank you, I've been freediving 10-15m but always using the diaphragm, I would lose a bit of air each time I did it and that isn't sustainable to lose a load of air every time you equalise. Cheers

    I've been using both now I know which one is which... I wish I was more proficient on this as I tried to get a nice shot at Barracuda Lake in Palawan but I failed to equalize my ears and prevented me from going deeper... Thank you for this video...

    Thanks, I tried it with an open mouth and finally realized I can do Frenzel properly by doing a chamber behind the tongue and empty lungs

    Should my ears pop when doing this out of water or do they only pop in the water with the pressure ?

    ci proverò come il tuo suggerimento , di solito faccio la maggior parte di valsava, ora punto solo manovra di frenzel , spero che mi superino, grazie tanto.

    thanks interesting and informative video. what are the exercises for the soft palate and the glottis .. i have difficulty equalizing the pressure in one ear i have undergone surgery but i have not solved it, i am trying to learn the frenzel maneuver Greetings from Italy

      Just think of times you use the glottis and soft pallet without knowing it. Example would be when you hiccup or cough. For the soft pallet would be when you snore.

    Hi, what if I can move my soft palate isolately and hear pop without moving my tongue upward, without moving oral cavity. What is that, can use it in freediving?

    How do I close glottis? Cant understand it

    • @istrala
      @istrala 2 года назад

      Your glottis closes every time you drink liquid or swallow food, as that's how you prevent things "going down the wrong pipe."

    If you can pop your ears with an open mouth, it is a Frenzel.
