This music i would just listen to without furthering the convos.
Awesome mix ❤
Thank you, it's one of my favorite convo themes!
I always cry. Thanks for the memories. My dad died a few years ago. He showed me this game as a child. The best game. Your music always brings me back to that time. Thank you.❤
Cool, I am happy to hear that my creations reach you on a deeper level 😎
Most of the gameplay footage seen here is from the GMDX mod since it is a bit more well-lit for filming. However there are a couple of clips where the original vanilla map was used.
Can you find which video clips are the vanilla map? Leave your answers in the comments!
I was impressed by the Revision Mod variant of this map. A much less claustrophobic layout than the original map, which makes sense for placing such a majestic cathedral.
@GrigoryRechistov Agreed I thoroughly enjoyed that overhaul of the map as well
You came all the way to Paris to tell me that?
Now you see that you cannot succeed all alone against the whole world!

@@danielsurvivor1372And I know something about you.
Thank you for keeping the greatest game ever alive awesome remix.
Hell yes, thanks and I agree as it's my favorite game
Really, really nice! 😙👍 This conversation music has such a special, dark mood.
Edit: I just noticed "KRAUT CAM". Haha.
Thanks! If there ever was a piece of music that sounds like a conspiracy, this is probably it.
Gotta love The Kraut! 🇩🇪
Some people are spiteful, just saw your sub count is now 696.
Let's make that 697 - Subbed.
Thank you, every little bit helps!
Now THAT's what I call a Masterpiece!!! Well done!!!
Thanks! Glad you like it 😎👍
The first seconds remind me somewhat of Oldfield's Tubular Bells
You nailed it
Thanks, I'm always happy to see comments for Deus Ex stuff as it is not getting enough play. I am particularly proud of this one so glad you like it.
I was gonna become the 699th sub but i have already subbed and activated the bell.
Well I do thank you for your service 🫡
@@VintageModernRemixes no. I thank you for your service.
Greetings again. I always thought that the Paris Conversation theme was one of Deus Ex's ways of telling the player how France and the world are in despair because of MJ12. The original song sounded very sad and somber, giving off the impression that France was slowly dying. This remix recaptures that impression, but the drums afterwards tell me that JC's fighting back however possible after being done with feeling sad for Paris ... even if that means getting rid of Gunther at the cathedral.
I like your take, the ideas in this song give that feeling of malaise, despair, and of course the feeling that it's all a conspiracy. The original song is short and basically sounds like one long intro that goes nowhere, so I made it go somewhere. You're right that the drums represent fighting/action and feel triumphant at times. Gunther's fate is sealed.
@@VintageModernRemixes Since you showed the Cathedral, I'll tell you that I dreaded that mission because of so many snipers in one place. One even killed me in my previous playthrough years ago.
Oh yea the snipers in Deus Ex are lethal, especially on hard. I always scan for them first thing because they easily get one shot kills.
@@VintageModernRemixes Now I'm thinking back to how I defeated snipers in the game. In Hell's Kitchen, I used a freakin' guided GEP rocket against one sniper who was posted on top of the NSF warehouse. Several missions later, I sniped an MJ12 sniper at the missile silo with a laser-modded stealth pistol.
I know those snipers all too well, and may they rest in peace 🪦
My musical choice is augmented.
Did you notice how the cathedral has a lot of resemblance to Facing Worlds?
No?
What a shame.
Haha I guess I see it on that upper level bridge with the arched doors at each end. It's not quite the scissoring lesbian concept of Facing Worlds ✂️
Doing the Machine-God's work
This is beautiful, thanks for sharing on Reddit.
Thanks I am glad you dig it
Paris, the Catacombs, the Chateau and the cathedral are one of my favorite sets of maps. :)
It took me a while to warm up to the Paris maps but now I love it all
I love the story arc, the Morpeus convo and the Illuminati emergence, the French resistance vibe, the little things like the Easter egg telephone call and the bomb being planted on Jocks chopper. Especially all of it being redone with Revision, the Cathedral got a lot better. I have it on Steam, but my old laptop is finally too slow and old to run it. Lol
"What if I told you that the depression was caused by a cabal of wealthy businessmen who want to rule the world?"
It's a conspiracy! 🤐
My personal depression too. Damn cabalists !
Man this is superb work. Classic theme to remix.
Thanks, it's one of my favorites from the game and is just so characteristically Deus Ex. The original sort of ends prematurely, basically sounding like one long introduction, so I took it somewhere and developed it more. I had a lot of fun with this one. Thanks for listening
