    I finished the main story after 87 hours of gameplay. What I found was that I very quickly came down to always using three weapon types: Beam lasers for melee, rail guns for sniping and flak for mid-range engagements as well as mining. In high danger zones I always started out by sniping with the rail gun, switching to flak and then beam lasers and when enemies had closed to melee range and started getting through the shields, boosting away to the other side of the map with the maxed out Energized Boost (also using the Teleporter for quickly jumping out of sticky situation).

      Did you have a particular ship you favored ?I have this thing where I will fly into a group of enemies hit em with emp fly off turn and kill them all, so fun! with bomber that has arc 9000 it can be really cool if there is a asteroid next to em,

      @@v7nf I used the Striker in its X-Wing visual configuration as soon as I could get it, with the tactics I described in my last post. I just love the X-Wing look. I also used the Gunship quite a lot in the later part of the game, because the massive firepower just appealed to me. But then I went back to the Striker.

    When it comes to being underleveled for missions: minesweeper is an easy non-combat option, item delivery is easy too if you have the items in your cargo hold already. For exploration, always do flybys of station or ship debris, asteroids with visible crystal formations, and any place with an unusual color or movement as those usually hide loot. Mainframe expansion components are often 'hidden' in puzzles as part of 100% clears, so: move debris, put energy cores in sockets, etc.

      You can also change the difficulty in game; as I have been playing since open beta began 2 years ago I have no shame in saying that I have from time to time lowered the gameplay level to very easy just to pass a certain point! I've beaten the game on it's intended difficulty enough times to know that a game should always be fun and not an aggravating grind, and they definitely give you that choice with the difficulty selector. You can change the difficulty at any time, for example if you played on very hard and dropped it down to hard for a boss I see no reason why not! It's all about the experience, and the devs have done well in making it accessible.

    I started play this game recently, and I think crafting is worth because you can make materials for the perks.

    • @KrazenGuides
      @KrazenGuides  Год назад +2

      Crafting is 100 worth it with the perks, and I plan to put the crafting for perks in its own video or in the mid level tips video. Thank you! 😎

      Crafting is worth doing even at the start of the game to bolster any white, common rarity items you might be stuck with at the moment, but also to slap white, common rarity Catalysts on any item without an affix. Shield accelerators come to mind, for example, boosting regen by 30%: which pairs well with the level 5 perk Defensive Massacre. Uncommon and above components should be saved for priority projects.

      @@XoRandomGuyoX The options the devs gave us are great, turning junk items into usable and good to better, I appreciate that. In further stages, higher levels with more superior items, the ability to modify or find what fits your playstyle best is top notch, I wish more game had that level of care.

    Hull is damaged as much by energy damage than by kinetic damage. Only Armor is immune to Energy damage.

    I just bought the game on Steam and I'm absolutely horrible with controlling my ship. I couldn't hit any of the enemy ships to save my life, but I'm going to give myself time to enjoy it.

      Thermo gun might be a good choice for you; it's a guided rapid fire energy weapon.

    • @winterhear

      Yeah , been there, felt that. If you want to dogfight ballz to the wallz , you need 100% focus , perfect aim and insane awareness of your surroundings / enemy types. Mines and that stupid bomb drones are nasty. I was genuinely frustrated on normal difficulty. then i saw one comment on yt video to treat the game like an RPG. if you see 1 or 2 enemies two levels above you , it will be tough, hard battle where you preferably use consumables , devices, missiles ... simply you need to use full arsenal available to you. if there is more than 3 , they will melt you. I settled on sentinel so far , shield tanking and using flak to soften enemies while they approach , then around 1.5km switching to coil gun , EMP , once i melt 2-3 enemies i thrust away to reposition. High risk areas of your level are pure mayhem , but worth it when you can do them , great loot and realy good weapon mods.

    how do you do a ship roll? trying to do that with the controller

    • @KrazenGuides
      @KrazenGuides  Год назад

      I think the default is left should or right shoulder on the controller. I know in game it if you go to settings and than customize controls you can change or see what its set too.. mine needed setting up a bit. Hope that helps

    How did you adjust your mouse sensitivity? I noticed in the combat scenes you were aiming much more smoothly than me!

    • @KrazenGuides
      @KrazenGuides  Год назад +1

      i change the dpi on my mouse down. There are a lot of mice options that allow you to change the DPI up and down quickly. I have a red dragon mouse that has DPI up and down buttons. if you dont have a mouse that allows you to change that quickly. you can change the dpi in windows. I also as you can see in the picture had the mouse precision clicked on. i.imgur.com/mE3luOv.png
      Hope that helps. I also noticed that if I am playing for a long period of time sometimes my cursor can get jittery. I fix it with a restart of the game. So memory leak of some kind maybe? dunno.

    Man i love rail guns and flak guns combo. Im always out of enemy gun range yet doing a lit of damage to them. If they get in range I just boost away until im out of range. I dont dance or do too much strafing. Its much easier to do evasive maneuvers when faced the other direction from the enemy... got the idea from modern day jet fighters. The best ones arent detectable (f22) or have missile lock ons from so far away the enemy cannot do anything. Just a different way from pkaying the game. Always ar least 2km away from my enemy. Less than 2 km i turn tailbans run

    question.......does this have crago ship so i can do trading? and what is the crafting like can i make items and switch them between the different ships?

    • @jjr5233
      @jjr5233 Год назад +2

      All ships have a good amount of cargo space, some have more like the Vindicator, a drone carrier which I prefer for trading. There is no dedicated trading ship though and you will be limited by the amount of goods to buy (kinds and buyable amount that is). You can swap items between different ships, yes. Via your homebase storage and when you trade in your current ship for a new one at the traders all items are transferred.

    • @KrazenGuides
      @KrazenGuides  Год назад +1

      There is no specific Cargo Ship in the game. Instead you increase your cargo with cargo modules. The cargo does stack pretty high. I dont know the limit but I never had more than 1 type of Commodity. The trading although satisfying is not the focal point of the game. Its a great way to increase your money though and is very useful to get money for that shiny new ship you want.
