Great work! Would love a guide on the different ships and demonstration of their playstyle. A catalyst tier guide or testing things like Swift on autocannons would also be great! Huge gap in video content on this game and is a great opportunity to get some views!
Have to admit, I've had my notebooks prepared to look for lucrative trading routes but kept pushing that off. Thanks for going through good ressource farming spots!
This was a brutal grind, that I opt'd to do right before the last quests in the storyline. The Pure Baromite was the worst part for me. The Pure Clygon was tough, but thankfully much lower quantity required. Of course, I ended up doing this w/o the mining bonus, which is possibly what made it even worse. It's a fun game, but I don't really feel any desire to farm out Rifts or HRAs or anything. It's kinda one and done, which is nice for a change.
I will see how Rifts and Endgame works or clicks with me - I mean those sweet legendarys make for some insane builds 😀 - But if it is to repetitive, I might opt for another playthrough with a different ship class.
@@wholesomegamer I used the Flak too at first but I found that the Beam Laser with bonus and catalyst gave me more of the rare minerals consistently. The Flak just is more convenient but I needed the materials more so I switched to the Beam exclusively. Thanks for your great videos, very well done.
@@KingVipes oh goddammit now I gotta go back to the ol slow beam mining technique... And just as I was thinking the one shot route was the way to go.... Goddammit 🤪
Thanks, great guide! One correction though which I found out eventually 2:18 you say to craft one common quality Flak, however what I found out was that a better quality results in better mining stats once you slam the catalyst
Thank you and you are ofc thats right - I thought more of a cheap option if you are still short on crafting materials. Once you have enough, it makes way more sense to use a higher quality Flak 😉
a pro tip for mining is to apply the mining catalyst after all the other updates, as level, rarity and stuff like Prototype or Starforged all effect the end result, so a Superior lvl 30 starforged flak will have a 200% chance for higher rarity resources as opposed to 119% like the lvl 26 uncommon in the video
@@wholesomegamer Seriously man, I spent really long time to just gather enough resources to unlock these tier 4 ships, by that time I already got 1 million credits just by gathering pure Baromites, this is ridiculously funny, in a good way.
@@thebadbeast0076 All enemies in the Khait Nebula System have a drop chance, so picking fights wherever you can might be one of the fastest ways go get Dark Energy.
I just did this yesterday. The pure baromite was a pain as it only seemed to spawn in the two southern zones in Khalit space but it will drop occasionally in "unknown signal" spawns in Khalit space. Dark energy can also be got if you help two shadow creatures find each other (grab one and, avoiding direct sunlight, take it to its mate marked on your map. They get jiggy with it and splurge out dark energy!) I also used a pulse laser with mining catalyst rather than a flak. Then I swore a LOT when I saw the prices!
Thank you for the suggestion. I will do some Ship/Class comparison showcases and definitely some class specific builds...I just have not enough time to do it all at once 😄
8Worth noting that while the flak is the easiest way to mine nodes the beam laser has a +25% mining modifier which improves your odds of rolling rare variants.
Yep, it´s a very good alternative if you get one. Personally I like the flak more for faster "fly-by-mining" and the modifiers are good enough. Beam Laser for those who want to min/max out everything and don´t mind more time spent on the nodes.
Thanks for the video. Although I'm still missing one resources atm which is "solar particles". I've got everything else ready, but missing said resources to craft 4 multiphase propellant.
I just unlocked T4 ships and refreshed about 3 times now, do they only have 1 wing type per class? Looking for a sentinel with anything other than reaver wings tbh
Yep, they where running out of time to hit the release window and talked about cutting down on a few transmog options, cockpit customization and having only one T4 wing type for 1.0. However, they are working to deliver on that front - there will be a free content update this summer, which is expected to add more customization options. The Thunderbolt III wings are much better then the Reaver-Wings imo.
To get the catalysts you have to do the according HRA in terms of rarity. Green ones for green quality catalysts and so on. Maybe you have done the wrong quality of HRA? The mining catalyst blueprint drops only in the green quality ones 😉
I just checked, for that you mainly need the same materials as later, pure Baromite, Dark Energy, Glacit and Flawless Phazium Crystals - these are all covered in the guide. The pure iron for the Resistor Arrays can be found in the early game zones. If you already have unlocked the Mining Tracker from Hive you can directly check the starmap for the materials.
It’s kind of disappointing all the ships look kind of the same in their own class😢 I am okay with the modular design, but I was hoping we could get some unique/legendary modules to change the ship looking drastically. To make the grind worthwhile.
I really like the designs, but I can understand that the modular approach is not for everyone. I mean in No Mans Sky you cannot switch modules at all and here you simply collect the appearances and can freely use them - I find that to be very satisfying 😄. They also stated that more designs will follow, they where hard pressed to release the game and said multiple times not all designs could be finished on time - so expect more variety to come!
I was thinking about that. Maybe a video per "weight-class" with a comparison between those ships. It´s definitely the kind of video that takes more effort to make - I will see if I get to that next week.
Thanks for being our guiding light into such a wonderful game!
I started seeing your videos when I really got into the game, like 5 days ago, loving the game, and your vids really help. GG and have a great day!!

Beam Laser is even better as it has a 25% mining bonus and with catalyst you will get more of the rare minerals than with the Flak.
Good call - I prefer the Flak for it´s one-shot mechanic. And not all Beam-Lasers have the bonus, but you can reliably add the catalyst.

Why Pulse laser? A Flak will farm all materials with a single shot.. so much more efficient.
