Your review was spot on, right down to the music being sadly very forgettable. Still, this is one of my favorite SNES games despite some of it's glaring flaws!
Thanks DGR! I won't dispute that this game is wonderful, flaws and all. Plenty of fun to be had and once I finally played it I was kicking myself for not doing so sooner
I would have loved this back in the day. Thanks for sharing this lost gem
We all would have loved it! I'm just waiting for the inevitable Limited Run Games version of this or for it to finally end up on Switch Online
Oooh great job on this vid, Drew! This looks like a really fun game! I really need to start a list of all the cool games I've found about thanks to your channel over the past year!
It's some proper fun. Definitely one to check out. Thankfully that list you need is just my "review" playlist hahaha
Marvelous video dude!
You had me until "switching between the 3 characters". I hate that lol
I'd think you should at least give it a shot. The switch mechanic isn't as annoying as you might think. It bugged me a little at first but I got used to it quickly.
Oooh. This game looks fantastic! I wanna play it!
You should! It's classic Nintendo that we never got so you know you can't go wrong
Played this with a friend, swapping off, recently. We had a great time. Tbh, the puzzles in the game are pretty fun and not too frustrating. Here 'n there a button mashing event did wear out our thumbs once or twice. The story elements made us laugh. I think it's worth a playthrough for anyone a fan of SNES RPG/Adventure titles.
I think some of the puzzles are a bit long winded like the snail shell puzzle. The one that really ruined it all for me was the spider luck rock tossing mini game. A real pain in the ass that took way too long to perfect
I love this one!
Never would have found out about this game if it weren't for Smash Ultimate.
I always thought it was some kind of startropics sequel before the translations appeared
I've never thought of it that way but now that you mention it I wonder if that wasn't an inspiration in some way? What a shame we never got a 16 bit Star Tropics
@@RetroDrew who knows, maybe it started as one, I wonder..
Great that Johnny Depp is again the hero of the people and can be used in youtube vids eh?
Kind of glad he won that case because I edited this video almost a year ago and didn't even think twice about putting that reference in lol
Did anyone do a translation for Tomato Adventure?
As a matter of fact yes! I haven't played it yet but it is on my list of games to review before the bigger channels beat me to it lol. Really looking forward to that one
@@RetroDrew Sweet. I didn't think that one would ever get translated. That's a game that NOBODY is talking about yet.
I didn't think this Marvelous game would be finished either. I remember it being incomplete for awhile.
@@gaylordfocker7990 I knew it was only a matter of tine before someone took care of Tomato Adventure. Especially since someone had translated all of the menus so you could at least attempt to play it. Kind of shocked that it took as long as 2018 to finally get Marvelous done. But hey, better late than never
