You should. One does not simply have 100+ vinyl in his collection, mix and master for artists, tour in a band, and constantly go to shows without being a music nerd lmao
Chrono Trigger is easily on of my favorites. Earthbound is one of the greatest but If I have to choose between the two, I'm going with Chrono Trigger. I hold them both with high regard. Silent Hill 2 is another great game. I really liked the fact the I'm whooping monsters with a piece of wood. That being said "Would you like to try some of my magic cake?
I really wish Chrono Trigger did more for me but for some reason it just doesn't click in the way that Earthbound does with me. I also like that in subsequent playthroughs of SH2 you can get a chainsaw and go leatherface on the whole town hahaha. Yes, I'd love some magic cake! Do you have any tea to go with it?
@@RetroDrew I think it come down to the time period the game is played. Being an adult with a full time job, bunch of things do, having high powered gaming rigs with high speed internet all day, and a library of limitless games vs. being a kid with a SNES with a limited game selection, dial up internet you never use because your mom is on it all day and no job or real responsibilities. My friend from grade school let me know about Earthbound and I'm glad he did. I played Chrono Trigger and then Earthbound immediately after. Maybe that's why I love both games. I borrowed SH2 so I never had the pleasure of fully completing the game. A chainsaw sounds like fun. Cheers
Great recommendations. Earthbound is my favorite RPG of all time. It is truly a one of one game! Another game everyone should defeat before they are defeated is Super Mario RPG. That’s another amazing RPG that holds up very well!
The way you feel about Earthbound is the way I feel about Chrono Trigger and vice versa. I cannot get into Earthbound. Tried multiple times. Just not my thing.
@bartek.szuster Oh that's neat. I didn't know that got a PC port but I do know a couple of other Saturn games, including Enemy Zero, recieved a PC port back in the day. I have yet to play that Panzer Dragoon remake, how about you?
What's more interesting, Sega released a graphic card for PC called Diamond Edge 3D along with three games: Nascar Racing, Virtua Fighter Remix and Panzer Dragoon. This series called Sega PC. About remake... I'm not into new gaming and especially I don't like remakes. Even if port of Panzer Dragoon did my Polish folks from MegaPixel Studio (btw, they intend to make remake of Panzer Dragoon Zwei as well).
Much respect for your honest opinion in regards to Chrono Trigger. I love the game. it's very nostalgic for me burn doesn't mean that's the case for everyone. Adding the Mother series to mine. Thanks for the video.
Chrono Trigger didn't come out here until the DS version so I never had that childhood nostalgia for it. Never got super far into it on DS. Would like to have a proper sit down and play through of it some day though. It's so clearly a quality game but I always find I just started playing something else instead.
Oooh yeah a few good Point n' Click games are Uninvited for the NES if you like horror. I even did a review on that one a few years back. The same goes for Shadowgate on the NES. I'd also recommend Blade Runner, which just got a modern PC port on Steam and GOG. While, I haven't played it, I've heard a lot of good things about Pacman 2: The New Adventures on SNES/Genesis
I couldn't get into Chrono Trigger but it was only a few years ago. The only game I really like from Square is Vagrant Story, a remake would be sweet 😊😊😊
I think you need to play with the algoritm more, try looking at what people type on the search bar and put that in your tittles (like top 10 everybody is always tiping that) + long light novel type tittles are always good.
I do a little bit here and there to please the algorithm but I do these videos for fun so if I get a million views, cool. But If I get 200 views that's still fine with me. I appreciate the suggestion though
@@RetroDrew Listen playing with the youtube algoritm is not really hard or time consuming, you just have to look at your youtube-feed and recognize the patterns in those videos.
Seriously, why do ppl only talk about silent Hill 2? You dont even get the full history of the Town if you dont play 1 first And all 4 deserve to be played
Because Silent Hill 2 has the best story of the first 4 games. And for the record I have played 1-4, Shattered Memories, and Origins. I'm a big Silent Hill fan and as much as I love 1 & 3, SH2 is the pinnacle. If you want to hear my opinion on 3 go check out my review
Today, yes I can agree, but even just 15 years ago Earthbound was still kind of underappreciated. Regardless, I will love and champion it until the day I die. Which do you prefer or are you sick of them both lmao
@@RetroDrew im currently playing through both and so far chrono trigger is the superior game better graphics better gameplay better story. earthbound is ugh well nintendo tried but they did some cool things with this game. i like character designs for the enemies the gameplay remind me of dragon warrior which isnt a bad thing. but the enemies that can one shot you and being too high lvl you encounter different enemies plus limited inventory im not having as much fun as im having with chrono trigger.
Man i always liked ur videos, i think they are entertaining, but in any sort of way i want to see a person burping on screen, is so gross and lack of education, that really pissed me off. You should learn some education.
Chrono Trigger is a masterpiece Drew! Anyways enjoy your videos thanks for the share

Small addition: Sega ported Panzer Dragoon on PC Windows as well back in 1997.
The original Panzer Dragoon or Panzer Dragoon Saga?
Unfortunately an original... (which was recently remade as well).

ive been watching a lot of letsplays of point and click adventures lately. are there any you can recommend

My bucket list game would have to be Castlevania 4 believe in or no I never playd it
Oh man I love Castlevania 4! Probably my favorite in the series along with part 3. Give it a go, it's revered for a reason
I can help you with that Not Dying Problem you've got there.
Watch it, buddy! Don't make me have the Lorax pay you another visit.
That hippie's words will fall on deaf ears.@@RetroDrew
