  • I decided to take a little solo camping trip out to the Allegheny National Forest to experience that part of PA for the first time. I set my sites on the campgrounds at Minister Creek with the goal of mainly fishing Tionesta Creek. I had a great trip and caught Brown Trout, Brook Trout, and Rainbow Trout on the fly in this beautiful off the grid location. Unfortunately, at the end of the trip I had quite the mess up and destroyed my Sony a6500 and lost of its footage. Mistakes happen and luckily i had the camera body insured so it is out for repair but the lens is a loss. Anyways, this is the footage I could pull together from just my GoPro's and phone. Hope you enjoy and please consider liking and subscribing!

    Try kettle creek state park for trout. It’s a really good time. I go every April. Go a little up stream towards Crossfork. You’ll see a older small steel bridge going across the river….that’s the spot to be.

      No problem. There’s some good pools by that bridge where they really camp out.

      Do the fish survive over the summer or to hot for them ?

      @@dougwalton4831 I think these are spring fed creeks so the fish do survive and thrive!

      Great video! The creek and town name are pronounced TIE-o-NEST-a as in tie a shoe not Tee as in a cup of tea. Keep the fantastic videos coming.

    How hard was the access? I'm trying to plan an Allegheny trip but have no idea where to go lol

    • @LifeOutdoors
      @LifeOutdoors  4 года назад +2

      Not difficult at all I’d say. A very short hike and easy wading conditions! But pretty much any of the small creeks in the forest hold fish so you really can’t go wrong. I just picked a random spot and went without research and it worked out

      Big forest. Sometimes dangerous. It's like Deliverance in places. Shadows scurrying around. They watch you. Sleep with one eye open.

      @@dangunn6961 Not quite. That's funny though. I saw the movie in high school. Our principal recommended it and the entire school watched a man get raped. We laughed and laughed.
