That thing sounds like a diving submarine.
That noise will wake the dead, looks Nice.
It will make sure everyone is clear. That and we dont go up daily.
Looking for something like this but with railings for the old folks.
Could I get a few more details on the build? Hinges, hoist, pulleys? I know it’s been a while but could use a little help.Thanks

Looks like flying saucer stairs.
that cable in the middle of the stairs though... making it difficult to avoid if you want to carry something ...should place rather on the sides
You just unhook from stairs and not in way anymore.
Not a fan of the cord in the middle of the steps. You can easily trip up on it. Plus the gape in the ceiling isn't that ideal.
@actionanimations4879 the cable comes off when down and there is a seal all the way around the gap.
@@thomaskrull4766 Look when it folds up. I like for the ceiling to feel and look flat. The dented look isn't ideal. also does the cable retract when not attached or does it just dangle in the middle of the step?

noisy and waists 10 feet of storage floor up in attic but an upgrade from pull down
Not a waste of space when it opens along low side of roof line.

Buy some wood, a couple of hinges and a winch from Harbor Freight.
Could use couterweights
