  • In this video, I show you step by step how to Harley Smart Tune with the Screamin Eagle Pro Street Tuner on the 2021 Road Glide Special with a Stage 2 Upgrade. You can Smart Tune your Harley with most Stage Performance upgrades from 1 to 4. I performed the Smart Tune function on the 2021 Road Glide Special in order to give it a Custom Tune that is for the exact set up for my motorcycle without having to put it on a Dyno Tuner at a Harley Davidson dealership or Independent Show. As you will see in the video, Smart Tuning the motorcycle yourself, is the exact same process that would be used on a dyno machine. The Harley Screamin Eagle pro street tuner will keep your Harley Davidson within EPA specifications and also keep your Harley within warranty specs. No need to worry about voiding the Harley or ESP warranty.

    Thank you for your video. I have looked this place over, and yours was definitely the best when using the older style tuner, not bluetooth! Oh, new subscriber because of this informative video.

    Ive watched quite a few videos of yours. I do appreciate your content. I have a 2019 ultra limited. When I got my stage 2 upgrade I had the dealership install the Smart tune Pro which is the auto tuner which requires wide band 02 sensors. I find this is a lot better, more bang for your buck. Doing what you performed in this video causes some issues. I noticed while you were recording your data it looked a little chilly. Your bike will perform that way for those weather conditions. As soon as the weather gets warmer/humidity/ colder air changes you will have to retune your bike going through the steps you performed. Going with the wide band sensors and the smart tune pro(Auto tuner) your bike will tune everyday/ anyday you ride. I added new headers to my bike. No need to reload a new map. Just let the bike idle for 10 min and then ride. It comes to be easier and worth the money. Please look into that Smart tune Pro tuner(Auto tuner) it stays on your bike and within warrenty.

    More valuable info! I’m still researching plenty of options for my upgrades this winter. I spent time at my local Harley dealer today looking at Stage 2 options…..again!
    I know the plus and minus of going SE compared to after market options. It’s so tempting to go for the aftermarket option and maybe unleash more that the M8 has to offer without the EPA regulations but the 117 is already pretty strong. I took the bike out today and tested the stock power again and other than maybe sounding better I’m not sure I need more torque or power. I know you mentioned before the 114 with the stage 2 makes that bike more fun to ride than the 117 with stage 1. So I’m thinking well…..maybe a 117 with a stage 2 would be more fun! 😇 awwww who knows🤯
    I really like watching these how to videos to help me digest just what I really want to get.
    Thanks!👍😎

    Not really a true auto tune cause its still epa compliant, so its only gonna adjust so much, and we all know it isnt enough, and depends on what parts u put on it still will run lean due to harley getting fine heavily and complying with epa, go to a shop for a custom tune, but if it was doing maximum non compliance epa auto tuning then you would need wide band o2 not the stock standard o2 as those dont read a full scan of 10:1-18:1 on afr

      Thanks for watching and commenting with your input on the topic. Yes it's still in EPA spec but better than it was with the base maps. Unfortunately the EPA is cracking down on all the aftermarket companies as well. Soon there will be no non EPA anything. If you are already a subscriber to the channel...thank you. I Subscribed. Do you have a screaming eagle pro tuner download video for a 2021 freewheeler stage one

    • @HDVIBE
      @HDVIBE  6 месяцев назад

      Thanks Vic for watching, commenting and subscribing. To answer your question, I do not have a video specific for a 2021 free wheeler. The process would follow just as I show in this video however. The tuner will recognize that it is connected to your bike and give you the tune for a Stage one for that bike and engine set up. Thanks for your support and ride safe. 👊✌️👍

      I do have another video showing how I uploaded the Stage 1 tune onto my 2023 Street Glide ST with the new screamin eagle Bluetooth tuner. You can find that video in the 2023 Street Glide ST Playlist. That will also help you see how the map upload process goes.

      Thanks for watching. I would suggest checking what code is being thrown since the check engine light is on. Then go from there. If you can clear the code, then you may be fine.
      I have a video on clearing codes or I do believe you can see codes with the tuner when you have it plugged into your computer.

    You used to favor the Vance and Hines FP3 for a stage 1 setup. Because of your reference I bought one for my 2015 RG special. Now you make no mention of the VHFP3 in your latest videos. What happened? Based on your recent videos I feel I may have purchased the wrong tuner.

    • @HDVIBE
      @HDVIBE  7 месяцев назад +1

      The FP3 is no longer available for sale in the marketplace due to it not being EPA compliant. It is a great tuner and you can also auto tune with it. I no longer have the bike that had the FP3 as I traded it in about a year and a half ago. I'm using the HD tuners now in order to keep the bikes in warranty. You for sure have not made a mistake with the FP3. Thanks for your support and ride safe. 👊✌️👍
