There is nothing better than the view looking out a Jeep windshield. I just love it. I think it brings me back when I was a kid and my dad had a 1971 jeepster commando. I can’t want to Eventually purchase a gladiator, but I have the luxury of waiting for prices to come way down before I do purchase. A great video. Brings back many memories.

It is a a very dependable beauty and you know that you are going to make it to your destination with ease, and yea it is a fun Jeep to Drive!!! Keep up the excellent reviews!!! 😁
I love my Gladiator, its nice to see a lot of positive comments about the Gladiator, usually its a lot of bashing this jeep not sure why, I couldn`t be more happy with mine.
@davidedwards1701 jeep gets a bad rap because it is the most abused, used and modified by people thst don't know how to mod them correctly. People beat them offroad then complain jeep sucks when they break something. The put lights and winches and electronics all over them half azz home brew wired and then say jee0 has electrical problems. They slap 37x12.50 heavy mud tires on them and complain when the suspension wears out fast. Jeep is amazing. I trust jeep more than almost anything out there. And I promise there are very few vehicles thst can do what a jeep can and still make it back to the trailhead with the front wheels connected
My new pre-owned 2023 Gladiator Overland and first ever real Jeep (I previously owned a Commander - great vehicle - loved it and was sad to lose it - but not a true Jeep) is way peppier and way better driving/handling on the road than I expected it to be. Drives straight. Doesn't rattle or bounce around. And is as responsive as it needs to be. I like the upright seats. Some may complain that they're not as plush as their wife's minivan's seats. I love 'em and can drive for hours in them even at 58. AC works even in Georgia. And even with the soft top, it's reasonably quiet. Great sound system. Can't complain.
Hey Jason, it's George from New Jersey... I've commented to you a few times, I'm the one with the same exact 2023 Gladiator granite crystal ect..ect... today actually, Black Friday 2023 is when I purchased mine 1 year to date. Dude I can't AGREE with you more!! GMC guy most of my life, till 2017 I had purchased my 1st Jeep Wrangler Winter edition and dude I absolutely loved it. Bought it with 6 miles on it, traded in and the actually gave me just under $25k and with the discounts like you mentioned and 7yr 100,000 mile extended warranty, financed my Gladiator approximately 24k. And yes, it is the BEST truck I've owned, HANDS DOWN. I also still have my 2012 GMC 2500 4x4 but I gotta say I think I've been converted to a Jeep Gladiator guy. Unlike you, I'm a State employee and have a State Ford F-250 issued to me, that being said I actually on Sunday just turned 2000 miles on the Gladiator LMAO!! But EVERYTHING you spoke of on this Gladiator is 100% RIGHT-ON! And constantly I get compliments on the Gladiator, color, how it looks, ride height, ect..ect... Thank you Jason for the videos you post and I've recently watch your other channels as well, I'm not a hunter, but enjoy your content. Well haven't "hunted" since my Marine Corps days 😉 Be Blessed Brother-man!
Semper Fidelis, Marine! I don't own a Gladiator....at least not yet. My wife had a granite crystal 2014 Grand Cherokee Overland diesel. The engine's emissions system's particulate filter was the only problem we had with that vehicle. We also have a 2012 JK Wrangler Unlimited Rubicon. We love our Jeeps. Our next vehicle will be a Gladiator Rubicon. Waiting to buy that until I've finished writing my first book. Andy McKane, former Navy hospital corpsman, 24 August 1970 to 10 November 1971. As we started out, Semper Fi!
@andymckane7271 Doc!!! My brother I have a WHOLE LOT OF RESPECT for all you Devil-Docs! You know where I'm coming from! Much respect and a HUGE Thank You! Like I mentioned in the post, I've always been a Chevy/GMC guy.... but I gotta tell you these newer Jeep really do Kick A$$. I loved my 2017 Wrangler Winter edition, bought with 4 or 8 miles on it and when the Gladiators came out I really wanted one. So last year, black Friday long story short, like Jason was saying, they really did give me a legit offer I couldn't refuse. My 2017 4 door Wrangler now had 98K miles on it, paid off, they gave me just under $25k and with almost $15k off of MSRP I financed just under $24k with the extended 7yr 100,000 mile warranty. I truly mean what I'm about to say.... the Gladiator, hands down is one of the best or "The Best" truck I ever owned. Tough, smooth, reliable, dependable and is just an ALL around good truck. The ONLY complaint I have is the gas mileage. Out of all of my trucks I owned and my 2012 2500hd GMC I still currently have, and the 2017 Wrangler I traded in, the Gladiator Rubicon burns a bit more... other than that my brother, I'm quite sure you will not regret buying one! Like I mentioned in the previous post, my job issued me a work truck so after owning it for a year now I literally just turned 2000 miles on it. I'll definitely have this one for a very very long time. Fact is I may in a few years after it's paid off pick up a new Wrangler as well depending if Jeep doesn't do anything outrageously stupid. Doc Thank you for your service, you and EVERY Corpsman are truly brave life savers and brothers! I hope this helps you out, God Bless, Ouhh-Rahh and Semper Fidelis! George from NJ
Great job , I wish I had watched this video back in April the Gladiator was my 1st choice with manual but there was so much negative reviews at the time along with my local Jeep dealer being 🤬I passed and bought Silverado but will certainly re visit again in 3years .
Not to mention the fun in modifying it. I don't know of another vehicle that has the aftermarket support that Jeep does. You can build it to just about anything you want it to be. One other thing. In a moment of madness I went and test drove a Colorado Bison. It drove just fine but felt numb to me. I got back in the Gladiator and went home without a new car payment.
Back to the power topic. I commented on another post about the 3.6L compared to Chevy's 2.7L and it's lagging transmission. Yea it's got decent power but that 8 speed seems to search for 3rd gear for several seconds before shifting! That was a show stopper for me, so I mad the trade and I don't regret trading my Chevy for the Gladiator at all!
Jason, Not only is driving a Gladiator an emotional high, simply walking into the garage and seeing it parked there is an emotional high. I plan to own my 2025 Rubicon X for many years--unless Jeep were to decide to start putting V-8 engines into the Gladiator. In that case, I would lose all self-control and immediately order one.
I got 21.4 mpg my trip down to Vegas, from Washington state, gladiator is awesome. Yes I had a few issues one being I’ll never let the dealer change my oil again, 2 water pump went bad at 2100 miles probably just defective from factory. So far no issues now. I’m on a 3 inch jks lift, and 35x11.50 my rubicon drives amazing, we also have a 21 Jl with the 2.0 turbo motor. That jeep hauls butt! Haha for a jeep. Note anyone who gets a gladiator or wrangler JLU, get a tazer! Trust me best purchase ever!
Just purchased a 24 Gladiator Mojave X. He'd 12 miles new. Now have 1500 miles. On the road I can't get over 16 mpg at 72 mph. In town I get about 14.5 mpg. How is everyone getting such high mpg?
Steve Marx maybe your computer is just not calculating right mpgs? And you only have 1500 miles. Will get better mogs after it gets more miles on it. All vehicles are like that
Love your videos. You've helped solidify my decision to begin negotiations on a new Willys Gladiator. I test drove a Sport S last week, and was shocked at how quiet and well-composed it was with the freedom panels driving on the highway. I hope to own my own Willys by Monday if all goes well. Thank you for all of the information you share with us.
Yes the 3.6 is underrated. I love mine in my 2018 JGC. Highway gas mileage is great. 25-30 mpg depending how fast I go. That’s with all wheel drive (Quadra trac 1). Thinking of a Wrangler or Gladiator. If they bring down the prices a bit. Love the video.
The fact that the "dealer wouldn't budge on the price" is almost certainly why that dealer has many unsold Wranglers and Gladiators on his/her lot. This having been said, it's my opinion these Jeeps, when considered over a long-term of ownership, are worth what we pay for them. Andy McKane, Maunaloa, Molokai, Hawaii.
Compared to the Wrangler and depending on the model the Gladiator will have a better and more comfortable ride in addition to more capability towing for small trailers plus a truck bed. This is my 5th 4x4 truck and my best. It's amazing. You have to drive one to experience it. The negative if you must is it's less capable and less maneuverable off-road compared to the Wrangler. But for most it's a small penalty compared to all the positives.
@dantimber just published a video about it a couple hours ago. Very exciting news. Thank you for the heads up. Had i not seen the article pop up in my news feed your mentioning of it would of been the first I heard and I would of jumped all over it to find out what happened. Thank you for the info.
Colorados are a sharp looking truck, I actually was looking at them when I bought the Trail Boss. There were 2 main reasons I went with the Trail Boss, 1. They werent willing to deal even nearly as much on Colorados, I jewwed them down over 17K on the Trail Boss, woulda been lucky to get 2K on the Colorado. 2. The back seat has 0 room, being 6'4", I cant imagine even getting a teenager in the back seat when I am driving. I essentially got a well equiped trail Boss for same price as a Colorado ZR2. It was like I went to the pub looking for a model but left with a heifer, Hey im realistic
Local dealer pushed me away from purchase. Had all the discounts and rebates listed, then "penalized" me for not having a trade on, and being pre-approved. Jacked the price all the way back up to nearly original price. And they wonder why their Jeeps have been sitting on their lots for more than 200+ days on many cases. Trying to put a 2nd Jeep in my stable and they push me away with games.
I would actually disagree. When I was gladiator shopping I test drove both the rubicon and the Mojave. I ended up with the Mojave due to the ride. It’s much better on smooth and rough roads. Smoother on the highway as well. And for me, the Mojave handles everything I need it to do. I’m doing trails and forest roads, no rock climbing.
@@EverythingOutdoorsAndJeeps OK, thanks for that info! It seemed to me that it might be like you said, since it supposedly is designed for high speed desert running.
I've always been skeptical about the Gladiator, just because of the reputation that Jeep has built of not being the most reliable as a company. But even I'll admit that the Gladiator is a top 3 mid size truck for me, only being beaten by the Colorado ZR2, and possibly the 2.7 Ecoboost Ranger. I haven't been around enough of the Rangers to really formulate an opinion of them yet, so I still have to give the Gladiator the edge.
All those are great trucks. Jeeps reputation is created by owners thst do hack job mods or beat them hard. No other vehicle in the world is abused offroad as much as jeep or as modified. And 99% by owners thst add a bunch of lights winch etc and don't wire it well then complian the jeep has electrical issues. Or thst they have axle issues or trans issues when they put 37s on a stock jeep and expect the steering to last 80k miles with out problems. Or lift it 4 inches and then complain it has death wobble with a 200 dollar lift.
@@Jason-Samko Your explaining the lack of reliability some---in reality just a few---Jeep owners have is right on the money, Jason. People modify various systems on their Jeeps with little knowledge of what they're doing. Don't expect a highly modified vehicle---of any type---to be as reliable as a stock vehicle would be. They systems are all designed to work in harmony together. Time to go eat more left-over turkey! Andy from HI
I have not. Theu can follow me into the woods every day. Thry probably have a game going with the people tracking me trying to figure out how I'm always where there are no roads😂
Would that still be your top pick if someone said they're going to buy you any truck you want, no limit on the price tag and they'll buy you something else when you're ready for something new but you have to turn the truck back into them at that time?
Tough call cause you said they will repeat the process. But right now I would rank my top 3 personal favorites as gladiator rubicon, colorado zr2 and ram power wagon. In that order, for me personally.
@jmanultra yes. Me personally yes. 2 reasons. The gladiator is just pure fun and robustness witch i need. Second reason is the proven simple and cheap to maintain and replace motor in the jeep. Worst case a new motor is like 5200 bucks right from jeep! That's hard to beat for long term
Jason, I’m currently negotiating with a dealership on a 2024 Mojave with MSRP 64,315 that has been discounted to 53,569. I’m shooting for 49,500. Does this seem reasonable?
I would think that is very doable. But again all dealers and regions are different. Once you hit a deal you are comfortable with buy it. Don't worry about deals other get as long as you are happy. The 10knoff is good but I do believe you can do better this time of year. So don't be afraid to work other dealers and see if someone else can do better on a similar.
@MikeR55 thank you for answering. My comment must not of went thru and I would not of know unless I saw your comment answering him. Yep 3.6 is what i have.
I don't think they are junk but there sure have a ton of them available and big discounts. I think many people miss the old toyota method of reliable, affordable and simple.
Jeep wrangler and gladiator for all of history (until 18 months ago when gladiator prices skyrocketed) held value better than every truck made except a last gen tundra or tacoma. Jeep resale value had always been top shelf.
@Jason-Samko Right .. but they were still Junk. So for me... I'm still not able to see real value. As a 30 year car sales veteran.... We always regretted investments $$$ in Jeep products. That meant not putting as much real cash value on trades. But I do remember that Wranglers were always treated better... because they would resell. They were still hard to Warranty used. And later when on the F&I side of things... extended warranties were expensive on Jeep products. I left the game before the Gladiator.. When I purchased my 2023 RAM 2500...a Gladiator sat on the showroom. The price made it seem like a joke... So high that even now, I'd never consider looking at it again. Ever lol! But hey.... I do see great VALUE in a Nissan Frontier. And Nissan doesn't have the Value label overall either...
@warrendonaldson4144 i bought my 5 year 100k factory extended warranty on my gladiator for 1270 bucks. Regardless of what people think of jeep. They are rock solid, robust built quality trucks and with aftermarket support as well as affordable factory parts very cheap and easy to maintain making it a truck i put at the very top of the list as being able to make it past 250 miles with minimal out of pocket expense comparatively
@warrendonaldson4144 I do. If there was a truck better made for my needs I would of bought it. Gladiator first my lifestyle perfectly. And I trust it to get me home from many miles deep in the swamps daily.
I’ve owned many vehicles, gladiators my favorite and nothing could touch it up road as far as midsize trucks go they can bury me in mine. I’m keeping it.
That used to be the appeal of a Toyota Tacoma or 4Runner, but they are no longer simple or 'ancient'. Buyers are turning away as they liked the old school simplicity. Jeep still has it. Both are overpriced though.
Can we stop and appreciate the amount of content this man is pushing out. Props to you buddy!

And they wonder why their Jeeps have been sitting on their lots for more than 200+ days on many cases.
Trying to put a 2nd Jeep in my stable and they push me away with games.
do a video on the frontier! if you can sir
Lots of videos on the frontier on my channel. Love the frontier
Jason, would the Mojave have the more pleasant, comfy ride in town/on HWY compared to the Rubicon and all other models?
I doubt it, maybe just a hair but probably not noticeable. I'm guessing. But will be noticeable on bumps, pot holes and train tracks etc.
@@Jason-Samko OK, thanks!
@@EverythingOutdoorsAndJeeps OK, thanks for that info! It seemed to me that it might be like you said, since it supposedly is designed for high speed desert running.
Besides the price i cant see whats the hate for this.

My friend has forgot about the Hummer brand👍. Does all of that and then some for 10’s of thousands less
That about lays out Jeeps issues better than I've ever heard them laid out.

@@Jason-Samko How true. Modify correctly but many don't and complain later. But t's not the Jeeps fault.
It's hammer time. 😊
😂
@Jason-Samko did you disable the Stellantis uconnect tracking? I'm thinking about the best way, maybe a faraday around the cell antennas.
I have not. Theu can follow me into the woods every day. Thry probably have a game going with the people tracking me trying to figure out how I'm always where there are no roads😂
🤣🤣🤣 idk some people have gotten higher insurance rates, GMs doing it as well.
Thanks for the content, always a pleasure.
i bet this is great in the snow!
Never drove this in the snow being in south Georgia now
@Jason-Samko im really digging the colorado. Great looking truck
@antoniocognato5023 we are loving the zr2
@Jason-Samko you do a test drive video on the ranger raptor?
is the wrangler pretty much the same power train?
100% same exact power train
Would that still be your top pick if someone said they're going to buy you any truck you want, no limit on the price tag and they'll buy you something else when you're ready for something new but you have to turn the truck back into them at that time?
Tough call cause you said they will repeat the process. But right now I would rank my top 3 personal favorites as gladiator rubicon, colorado zr2 and ram power wagon. In that order, for me personally.
If you had to choose between your Gladiator and Colorado for long term ownership/daily driver, would you still go Gladiator?
@jmanultra yes. Me personally yes. 2 reasons. The gladiator is just pure fun and robustness witch i need. Second reason is the proven simple and cheap to maintain and replace motor in the jeep. Worst case a new motor is like 5200 bucks right from jeep! That's hard to beat for long term
How are the ditch lights working out for ur application?
Absolutely love them. Save me from deer and hogs many times already
@@Jason-Samko excellent!!
Hey that's a sto... and there goes the stop sign. 😆😂
@Scroll_Lock it's a "soft"stop sign. We have those here in south ga. 😂
what engine in this? turbo?
@@antoniocognato5023 3.6 pentistar v6
No, it's the 3.6 V-6 non turbo. Been around since 2012. I had a 2015 for three years and no problems, Good power and great gas milage.
@MikeR55 thank you for answering. My comment must not of went thru and I would not of know unless I saw your comment answering him. Yep 3.6 is what i have.
titan makes you drive. as well as the frontier lol
Jason, they cant give the new tacoma and tundra away 😂. Dealers have sooo many tacomas, they have to hault the 25 model 😅. Junk.
I don't think they are junk but there sure have a ton of them available and big discounts. I think many people miss the old toyota method of reliable, affordable and simple.
Now let's talk about value... Bang for $$$... I totally see n agree with you on the Frontier... But a Jeep product?
@Jason-Samko I get it... You like your Gladiator...
@warrendonaldson4144 I do. If there was a truck better made for my needs I would of bought it. Gladiator first my lifestyle perfectly. And I trust it to get me home from many miles deep in the swamps daily.
I like how you describe the jeeps interior as simple. Some like myself might describe it as ancient.😂
I’ve owned many vehicles, gladiators my favorite and nothing could touch it up road as far as midsize trucks go they can bury me in mine. I’m keeping it.
@@dominica2765 have fun in your antiquated vehicle
Love analog gauges and simple reliability and real buttons and nobs and shift levers!
@@Jason-Samko Ditto!
That used to be the appeal of a Toyota Tacoma or 4Runner, but they are no longer simple or 'ancient'. Buyers are turning away as they liked the old school simplicity. Jeep still has it. Both are overpriced though.
